Walker DNR has scheduled Leech Lake for muskie netting this coming spring. They will be looking for volunteers to help pull nets and measure muskies. Stay tuned for further details.

The MN Land Trust was awarded a $335,000 from the Conservation Legacy Program to protect 1200 feet of undisturbed shoreline and muskie habitat on Mille Lacs Lake.

BLC President, Jeff Young, was recently elected as an MI Regional Rep. He will be representing 5 assigned Chapters from Minnesota, Colorado, New Mexico and Washington. Another BLC member, Greg Kvale, is Senior Regional Rep and is on the MI Executive Board.

The new Muskies Inc website is up and running. The long awaited redesign has a fresh modern look. There are still a few bugs to iron out as well as adding features to the new site that was on the old version. Please be patient as it may take a few weeks to get everything back on track.

The BLC has a Facebook page. Jason Bassett is managing the page with new info, pictures, events, etc for the social media minded people of the BLC.  ...................................................................................................
BLC member Tom Dietz has moved on to better and greater things. Tom was the manager of the Baxter Gander Mountain for the past few years but has recently taken a job at Cabelas in Michigan. We appreciate what Tom has done to help the BLC and wish him all the best on his new adventure. Tom recently text a picture of a map of Lake St. Clair and explained he can't wait to get exploring the lake. Looks like we'll have to invade him in the future on a guided trip!
