Meet Kyle Chapple

Name: Kyle Chapple
Employer: Relationship Assistant at Tri-Star Trust Bank
Age: 29

How long have you been a part of the YPN? Since July 2014

Why did you decide to join the YPN?: I was already familiar with Saginaw having gone to school at Saginaw Valley and having family in the area, but I had just moved back to Michigan from Indiana and I figured this would be a good way to jump in and get involved with the community. That, and on my first day of work, I remember my co-worker Anthony Taylor asking me, so when are you joining the YPN?  At that point I had join right? Ha Ha!

Are you on any committees of the YPN? No, currently I am not serving on any committees. However, I'm considering the possibility of serving on one of the committees in the future.

Name an experience you enjoyed that the YPN hosted and why: The events that I have enjoyed the most are the After 5's, YPN Bowling League and Golf League. These have been great events to get out and meet new people.

How has the YPN been helpful for your career? I have enjoyed attending the Network @ Noon Series that the YPN offers. They have had some great guest speakers who have offered sound career advice.

What is the best piece of advice you've ever gotten?  Dr. Mackie, one of my professor's from Saginaw Valley, told us seniors to go whereever that first job offer takes you. My first job out of school took me to Indianapolis. In those four years of living in Indianapolis I learned a lot about myself. It was probably one of the best life experiences I could have had. I would say the same thing to a graduating senior today, go whereever that first job takes you.
