The Corvette C7R debuts in the United Sports Car Racing series at Daytona in January, 2014. Familiar Corvette C6 race cars face the end in other series as the season progresses. We are inspired to offer a retrospective of 2013 C6 racing leaders pictured below. There are links to race teams, race series and Corvette galleries featuring action from just about every year of competition.
Preserving the heritage of Corvette race cars is our mission. When the time comes for a race car to change hands, we are here to advise and help so sellers, buyers, enthusiasts, fans and friends can benefit. Demand for “used” race cars grew in step with vintage racing and collecting. Higher costs associated with racing and collecting and a contracting pool of qualified buyers have slowed demand. Complete well-preserved examples with winning pedigrees command premium prices but the market for others is soft. Some worthy examples should find new homes if/when the prices and circumstances are aligned. Buying a race car “can be a rush”. The Corvette, on its 60th anniversary, was the featured marque for the granddaddy vintage racing event at Laguna Seca Raceway in Monterey, CA, Aug 15-18. Approximately 50 Corvette racers and many fine photographers contributed to what is probably the largest collection of Corvette race car photos at one single race gathering.
