As relief efforts continue for Nepal's magnitude 7.8 earthquake, new research from the University of Washington shows that a similar fault off the Northwest coast is so weak and slippery in places that minuscule tidal forces produced by the sun and moon are enough to trigger tremors. The quakes involved are so tiny they're imperceptible to people, but this slow slip that ratchets up pressure on the offshore fault slightly boosts the risk of a mega quake and tsunami.

Seattle runs the risk of being struck by three different kinds of earthquake-each with a distinct character, risk to life and property, and aftermath. Living Seattleites have only experienced the mildest of the three. Not the best news to hear, and to make matters worse Harborview, the regions' only level 1 trauma center, is located right on top of the Shallow/Crustal/Blind Thrust Fault aka the "Seattle Fault." Don't we all want to know how old we really look, but know that no one is going to tell us the truth!?! Your partner, friends and even your mom might have reasons to lie, but now you can find out on your very own with Microsoft's age predicting website. It's simple, visit the site at How-Old.net, load a photo and BAM it tells you what age it thinks you are. The results might not always be accurate, but be prepared to be amazed, flattered or even devastated, either way it's worth a laugh! Read more about the site here.

Dave, a member of our Driver Help Desk, has been with Delivery Express for just over a year now, but has been in the delivery industry for a majority of the last 30 years. Dave works here in the Puget Sound, but resides with his wife in the Willamette Valley wine country in Oregon. He loves spending time with his wife and his blended-family, including his 22-year old daughter from his first marriage who lives in California and his three granddaughters ages five, two and a half and seven months.

Dave enjoys working the Driver Help desk as he understands the demands our drivers are faced with and the needs of our clients having worked both as a driver himself and in various customer service capacities since 1995. Dave also donates his dispatch expertise by volunteering his time and efforts for two Pacific Northwest Anime conventions.
