The New River Historical Society encourages you to support efforts to preserve the Wilderness Road Regional Museum and our local history by becoming a member. WESTWIND WINERY VALENTINE'S WINE DINNER
On both Friday and Saturday nights, February 14 and 15, Westwind Winery will be offering their Valentine's Wine Dinner.
The menu will be:
*Grilled Shrimp with Romesco sauce
*Honey and brie on a bed of mixed greens with fried green tomatoes and fig chutney
*Crabmeat-stuffed filet of sole Meuniere
*Tournedos of beef in a Marsala reduction
*Garlic potato gratin
*French honey-glazed carrots
and for dessert, your choice of two decadent options:
*Chocolate mousse-stuffed crepes with raspberry sauce and fresh whipped cream, or
*Grand Marnier crème brulee with fresh whipped cream and fruit
Dinner begins at 7 p.m. and is priced at $55 per person plus tax and gratuity. A portion of West Wind Farm wine is paired and served with each course.

LIVE WELL WITH LESS
This free 4-week adult nutrition and money management program is being held on Mondays-February 10, 17, 24 and March 3 from 6-8 p.m. each evening. This money management and nutrition series is to help participants improve their financial and personal health. There will be taste testing to promote trying new foods and methods of food preparation to promote health. SENIOR CENTER OFFERS TAX AIDE
Pulaski Senior Center is once again offering Tax-Aide assistance for senior citizens and low-to-moderate income Pulaski County residents. This assistance is particularly geared for those 60 years of age and older.
IRS-trained volunteers will be at the Senior Center, 106 N. Washington Avenue, every Monday until April 14. Half-hour appointments are available between 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Call 994-8627 to make an appointment.
4-H SPRING BERRY FUNDRAISER
The Pulaski County 4-H/Extension Office is currently taking orders for Strawberry, Raspberry, Blackberry, and Blueberry Plants. Proceeds from this fundraiser support the Virginia Cooperative
Extension programs in Pulaski County. They are 100% community funded and hope you will take advantage of their berry plants. The plants are top-notch and will begin producing for you in their 2nd year in the ground. If you have questions or to order, call (540) 980-7761.

ANNOUNCING 'ROUND THE MOUNTAIN JURY SESSION - MARCH 11, 2014
'Round the Mountain will hold a Jury Session for Heartwood: Southwest Virginia's Artisan Gateway of Tuesday, March 11, in Abingdon. Only juried members of 'Round the Mountain: Southwest Virginia's Artisan Network are eligible to have their work considered for sale at Heartwood. Being a juried artisan also gives you the opportunity to demonstrate at Heartwood, represent Heartwood and Southwest Virginia at festivals and shows and participate in other special exhibits.
Applications may be mailed, hand delivered or submitted via an on-line application. No e-mailed or faxed applications will be accepted.
Do not submit work or images with application.
Eligible applicants must deliver their work to the RTM office in Abingdon the week of March 7. Details on how to deliver work will be provided upon jury confirmation.
All work submitted through the jury process must be available for sale; however, Heartwood is not required to purchase the work submitted. Heartwood may purchase some, all, or none of the five pieces submitted for jury. Once juried, artisans may contact Heartwood's buyer about purchasing other pieces in the category in which they have juried.

The Pulaski Theatre and The Fine Arts Center for the New River Valley presents "California
