In the  Covenant Family

This week we keep in our prayers Erik Kratky, Gerald Layton, Christian Steppes, Kim Voss, and other Covenant members and friends who are struggling with illness, convalescing, or are home bound.

We pray for our Church as we elect our Pastor Nominating Committee, Elders, Deacons, Trustees, Officers of the Society and Nominating Committee.

We pray for the people of Ya'an, China, as they recover from devastation of a massive earthquake.

Prayer for Transition:    Gracious Lord, as we face this time of church transition, we seek your guidance.  May our thoughts and words mirror the love you have so freely given us.

Bear one another's burdens,
and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.

Students Pray For Victims of Chinese Earthquake

On April 26, Frank Wu, one of our MISSION NJ student volunteers, invited Eileen to join him and his friends for an outdoor prayer. They prayed for Ya'an, a city of 1.5 million ravaged by an earthquake in Sichuan province that destroyed much of its infrastructure and killed 11,000 people  They invited passing students to pray with them as well.  They also heard from Eileen the story of Noah's Ark, depicted in her stole, a handmade gift of Martha Saviers, former Covenant member, now living in Virginia.
