(CWDO) actively promotes the rights, freedoms and responsibilities of persons with disabilities through community development, social action, and member support and referral.  Our primary activity is public education and awareness about the social and physical barriers that prevent the full inclusion of persons with disabilities in Ontario.

CWDO is proud to be Ontario's representative at the Council of Canadians with Disabilities since June, 2009.

 AODA Review Public Consultation Process

An independent review of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act is currently underway. 

The Reviewer, Dean Mayo Moran of the University of Toronto Faculty of Law, looks forward to receiving your comments regarding the AODA.

There are three ways to participate:
  1. Online/call in session - LAST CHANCE! 
  2. "Live" in-person consultation sessions in Thunder Bay and Toronto in April   
  3. Sending in a written submission

Online & Call-in Sessions

Where:  From your own computer or telephone

When:  Only one date remaining!
  • Tuesday, April 22,  11 am to 1 pm EDT (new time!)    

How do I participate? 

 

Open to the public.  No registration is required.

The telephone number to call-in to the sessions will be available on the Reviewer's website shortly before the consultation dates.     
 

LOGON INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Go to CWDO's Auditorium 1  
  2. If you have been there before, click the link "Click here to enter the room"
  3. If you are entering the room for the first time, follow the instructions under "first-time participants"
  4. Enter your first and last name and location in the Username box (example, Pat Seed in Thunder Bay)
  5. Enter the password provided on Reviewer's website  

PLEASE NOTE:  A try-out session will be available for first-time participants.  The goals of the tutorial is to:   

  • Make sure your equipment will work in the virtual conference room
  • Show you the features of the room to enable your full participation
  • Let you know how to access the captioning feature

  • Toronto: Tuesday, April 29, 9 am to 5 pm  
How do I participate? 

Open to the public. Registration is required.
