MFP is pleased to honor Yale Club of Los Angeles, who have been partnering with us on their annual Day of Service since 2010! The Yale Club of Los Angeles enriches the lives of Yale Alumni and improves the greater Los Angeles area by fostering meaningful connections among area alumni, the University, and local communities. Site Coordinator, Dee Hamaguchi, was happy to work with MFP said:
"I live in the Hollywood neighborhood and know that homelessness is a significant issue here. I think it is great that MFP offers such low-barrier services to young people on a drop-in basis and fills a gap left by most social service agencies. What a relief it must be to be able to take a warm shower at MFP without any strings attached!"
On their experience at the agency, Dee added:
"Our Day of Service at MFP this May was so rewarding; there were a dozen volunteers and we painted the wall and repaired the fence in the youth patio, organized donated clothes, and installed blinds in the offices. The volunteers even stayed overtime to get their tasks done, and I am confident everyone knows they made a difference."
Yale Club definitely made an impact! We were so impressed by the way you pulled together to help beautify and improve our Resource Center. MFP staff and youth are incredibly grateful for the dedication of Yale Club Los Angeles and look forward to our continued partnership.

Amoeba Music chose MFP as the June beneficiary of their monthly charity auction!
The benefit, held on Saturday, June 1st, was a great success and Amoeba generously matched the $457 raised on auction winnings, making the total contribution nearly $1000! Amoeba also organized a sock drive to support youth at our Resource Center.
