Church News
Fall Worship Schedule
I was glad when they said to me,
"Let us go to the house of the Lord!"
Psalm 122:1

The Council has approved the recommendation from the Christian Education and Worship committees for our one service format this fall.

We joyfully anticipate this new schedule which allows us to worship together as one church family.   Our worship will be enhanced as we enjoy the choirs each Sunday, share communion and experience the milestone events together.  This new schedule will allow teachers and leaders of the education program to build upon God's lessons from worship as they seek to write God's word upon the hearts of all His children.

May God continue to be glorified here at St. Paul as we move to this new schedule beginning September 8th.

Worship at 9:30 am
Education Hour at 10:45 to 11:30 am

Listen God is Calling:
Rally Day and Blessing of the Backpacks
September 8 marks the start of a new season of worship and education.  Our theme is 'Listen God is Calling'. Children are encouraged to bring their school backpacks on Rally Day for a blessing during worship which begins at 9:30. Following worship, everyone is invited to the Harms Fireside Room for a welcome to Living the Word Sunday School and celebration of the 25th anniversary of the ELCA.  Sunday School registration forms will be available.

Pastoral Comings and Goings
Comings
HE'S HERE!!!!!!!  Please take the next opportunity to introduce yourself to Pastor Ulmanis and welcome him to St. Paul.

Goings
On Sunday, August 4, during announcement time, I read out loud the letter that was addressed to St. Paul pastor collierLutheran Church Council. It details that in compliance with the decision of the leadership of the congregation, I shall end my call here on the last day of September, 2013.

In my time of service here, I have given my fair share and joy in the enrichment of congregational life. I have been available to talk with parishioners on matters as they affect you. I have also shared in your joys and disappointments as they affect you. Similarly, many of you have been there for me when, in the changes and chances of this fleeting world, I have also experienced loss. I thank you for giving me the opportunity to serve you. There comes a time when one needs to move on to new horizons and different ministry settings; this is the time for me.

Beginning in October this year, I shall be going to Sierra Leone to pursue ministry there, serving the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Sierra Leone (ELCSL) as Missionary Coordinator, through the ELCA. Please keep my continuing ministry in your prayers.
