Worship Chairperson Needed
| |
We have a church council vacancy to fill the position of Chair of the Worship Committee; the term would be through the end of the year Our current Chair, Katherine Ward, will be relocating to Florida to care for her mother, and will not be able to continue in this position.
The position coordinates and plans the worship services with much assistance from the pastors, music staff and an active committee. As we consider moving to a single service and alternative worship formats and times, this is an important position on the Council at this time.
If that would be your interest and calling, and you would be able to serve in that position for the remainder of the year, please contact one of the pastors or Dave Upmeyer. Thank you.

April Update
| During the month of April our LSSM focus will be on the MotorVation Drive program and the Wayne County Family Center. Do you have a car, motorcycle, motorboat, RV, truck or other vehicle you no longer need? You could donate it to Motorvation Drive at Lutheran Social Services of Michigan. Your gift could help a teen leaving foster care, a homeless parent, a refugee starting a new life, or a woman coming out of prison. LSSM will pick up qualified vehicles anywhere in the Lower Peninsula of Michigan.
The Wayne County Family Center is a transitional shelter for homeless families. It is a partnership of Lutheran Social Services of Michigan and Wayne County. WCFC welcomes two-parent families, single mothers or fathers with children and pregnant women. Meals, laundry facilities, licensed child care, transportation, job counseling and educational assistance, financial planning and help finding a permanent residence are some of the services offered at WCFC. There is also an on-site medical clinic and a library with computer access.
Join us for the Adult Forum on April 14th when Richard Martin shares about these two important ministries of LSSM. Please lift these programs and the clients they serve in prayer this month.
