Habitat for Humanity Update |
Next Habitat Grosse Pointe Partners Volunteer Opportunity. St. Paul will host the 2nd Saturday Build on February 9, 2013 from 8 am to 4 pm. We will meet in our parking lot at 7:45 am to carpool to the work site. We most likely will be working inside rehabbing houses (possibly stripping wall paper and painting) in the Morningside area, just across Mack Avenue and east of Alter Road. We will need about 10 volunteers for that day. Call Dave Upmeyer (881-9522) or email upmeyers@hotmail.com to sign up. There are similar opportunities during the week throughout January for those able to work then. Special thanks to Tom Archinal for volunteering to coordinate our work with Habitat Grosse Pointe Partners in the future". Thanks

Everyone is invited to a special congregation-wide exploration of Prayer during Living the Word. This will be a multi-station experience with prayer exercises and activities for adults, youth and children. At 10:10, children, parents and grandparents will begin with songs and a short teaching on the Transfiguration, and then embark on their quest to complete the exploration. Adults and youth may begin their exploration in the Fireside room.

Each Wednesday during Lent, our services will begin with a call to worship. We will have candles placed on a crown of thorns. Each Wednesday, a candle will be extinguished, leading up to the last candle, the Christ candle.
Our Lenten dramas are based on Luke 14:16 when Jesus told the parable of the "Banquet of the King." The dramas focus on Christian worship.
