K9COLA's future looks uncertain without your help!
I've written several articles for the newsletter over the years, but this one makes me the saddest. I usually have a very optimistic outlook on life, but recently my outlook for K9COLA has changed. This change is because of the reality of the situation. The number of volunteers for our organization has diminished over the years. As a registered 501(C)3 non-profit we are required to have a certain number of board members. If we do not maintain this minimum number our organization must dissolve. If we are not able to recruit more board members for our annual election in November this is a possibility for our organization. Without K9COLA there will be no one to empty trash or add amenities at the parks, let alone add new parks. If you have ever thought about getting involved NOW is time. Please save November 5 on your calendar and plan to attend our annual election board meeting. Between now and then:
  • Email Marie at info@k9cola.org to let me know you are interested in joining the board and getting involved.

We are working on some great projects, but our small number of current volunteers don't always have the time to accomplish them.

I hope to hear from you soon so we can continue to accomplish some great things!

Thanks,

Marie Appel

K9COLA Chairperson

Thanks again for your interest in our dog parks, and we'll look forward to seeing you at the park!
