Keep your Dog Safe While Driving
Having a dog is a great experience in one's life. It not only teaches you responsibility, but how to take care of something. And that is what your objective should be, keeping your pet safe. You need to think of ways that will protect your dog wherever you go. So many dog owners tend to just stick them in the back of a truck and think they'll stay. New Board Members
The K9COLA Board of Directors elected officers at the November meeting and we'd like to thank a couple of people.

Colleen Martens has served as Treasurer for six years and it will be difficult for K9COLA to replace her; we thank her so much for everything that she has done for us and wish her well as she moves on.

Kate Getty joined us two years ago as Fundraising Coordinator, and thanks to her background working with nonprofits, we gained a lot of knowledge and experience from her time on the board. We thank her for her service and also wish her the best.

Jesse Martinez takes over as Fundraising Coordinator. Several people expressed interest in our at-large positions: Jan Dyson was re-elected and Steve Sandstrom was elected for these positions.

The following officers will continue in their current roles:
Chair - Marie Appel
Vice-Chair - Ken Ennis
Secretary - Kelly Ennis
Site Coordinator - Ken Ennis
Public Education/Social Media - Joni Wallace & Jesse Martinez
Volunteer Coordinator - Jill Rowe

K9Splash! Survey
K9Splash!
If you haven't had a chance to take our 2013 K9Splash! survey, we value your input and it is very important for our future planning! Please take five minutes to complete the survey and let us know how we can make the 2014 K9Splash! even better!

New Address for Animal Control
900 76th Ave Dr SW, Cedar Rapids. It's located behind  Washington Hall on the Kirkwood College campus.

The 2014 park tags will be available the middle of December. Remember, they are good at both parks (Cheyenne and K9 Acres), and you can get discounts.

We are grateful for your interest in our dog parks, and look forward to seeing you and your dogs at the parks!

Sincerely,
