Greetings!

We had the opportunity to spend a few days in Boston proper during the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) Meeting February 13-17. This is the first time Jack and I have attended an AAAS Meeting. I was there to facilitate a workshop on behalf of the
ACS Division of Small Chemical Businesses titled: Learn how to satisfy your entrepreneurial career cravings. Of course Jack was one of my featured presenters alongside our good friend and colleague, Mukund Chorghade.

Months ago, at the suggestion of my colleague, George Ruger (pictured  below, red shirt/yellow Chemistry Ambassador sash), we decided to take on the task of reserving and staffing an American Chemical Society (ACS) table at the Family Science Days at the AAAS annual meeting where 3,647 local area people participated in this spectacular science outreach event. We were graced with the most amazing volunteers from the ACS Small Chemical Businesses Division, Northeastern Local Section of ACS (NESACS), Dow Chemical (MI & MA), Suffolk University Department Chairs including a Trustee and Museum of Science Boston (MOS). Many thanks to our NESACS National Chemistry Week Coordinator, Chris Jaworek-Lopes for providing us with our outreach supplies and to David Sittenfeld of the Museum of Science for sashing up and working the table as well as lending us the MOS demo kits. We couldn't have staffed the six hours each Saturday and Sunday without this team of volunteers.

Since we were planning to be at the Workshop AND at the Family Science Days (Saturday & Sunday) we submitted posters in the General Poster session. There I am pictured above stationed at my poster, Analysis of ppb Levels of VOC's and Hydrides by Gas Chromatography (GC) / Photoionization (PID). Simultaneously two poster aisles over, Jack was also *giving* a poster, A Sensitive Method for the Measurement of Inorganic Arsenic in Apple Juice: Hydride Generation (HG)/Photoionization (PID)

We've settled back in on Cape Cod and are working on our many commitments for the ACS National Meeting in New Orleans that include research work, presentation design and of course social media-based PR. Next month's newsletter will focus specifically on #ACSNOLA but see the left column of this newsletter for highlights of our participation.
PID Analyzers will be exhibiting at Arab Lab 10th-13th March in Dubai together with Hillsborough Scientific at Stand No. 816/916. Featured products include: Model 102+, Model 210  and Model 114

Our hand-held 100 series analyzer will be on display at the Quadrex booth #1202 at #Pittcon Philly March 18-22
