The Leadership Experience - Next MBI Program to Sell Out!
Leadership Experience
So far, MBI has sold-out the 2015/16 classes of MB Eye on the Future and Cornerstone Academy, and we are looking to continue this string of good fortune with The Leadership Experience and are halfway there with 10 of the 20 seats sold so far!

The Leadership Experience class meets once a month on a Thursday and Friday, over a four month period of time. The four sessions are organized into learning experiences, with each including a pre-session assignment, lessons by Executive Coach David Rabiner, role play, team exercises and networking time. Complementing the leadership training sessions is an opportunity for private leadership coaching. Becoming a great construction leader does not boil down to what you know technically, nor is it about who you know. It is about ... you: your character, your ability to lead yourself and others; your influence in good times and bad; and your individual career journey. For more information, please contact Tom Fulcher at (515) 657-4395 or tfulcher@mbionline.com.

Code of Ethical Conduct
Ethics
Last year's MB EYE on the Future class undertook a project that focused on the issues surrounding ethical conduct in the construction industry.  In doing so, they developed basic parameters that MBI member firms can take into consideration for the development of a company-specific code, or review of an existing code of ethical conduct. Their efforts have resulted in a "white paper" that is to be used as a service to MBI members and to the industry as a whole.  Please take a moment to review the Code of Ethical Conduct. Also, consider sharing with others in your firm and your business partners.  We all benefit from ethical practices that instill a culture based on sound business practices.

Annual Iowa Governor's Occupational Safety and Health Conference
The 44th Annual Iowa Governor's Occupational Safety and Health Conference will be held November 5-6, 2015 in Altoona, Iowa. This is the longest running safety conference in the state, proving it is valuable to a wide array of safety professionals. Astronaut Clayton Anderson is the opening speaker and he will address the components of leadership. There will be seminars on workers' compensation claim management, fall protection, and other topics needed to bolster a safety program. CLICK HERE for more information and to register today!
