MBI Scholarship Drive - 3 Months Remaining!
Master Builders of Iowa is in the midst of an aggressive campaign to raise scholarship funds for the University of Northern Iowa Construction Management program and the Iowa State University Construction Engineering program.  Both of these outstanding universities serve as recruiting grounds for MBI member firms, and their students are the future of Iowa's commercial construction industry.
 
MBI is grateful for the contributions that have been made to date. These include approximately $8,500 allocated to ISU and $12,000 toward UNI, all of which are matched dollar for dollar by MBI. With the MBI match included, this campaign has raised over $61,000 towards future scholarships. (Please note: not all contributions have been allocated to ISU or UNI at this time.) 
 
With 3 months remaining in this important campaign, MBI members are encouraged to use this opportunity to double your investment toward Iowa's commercial construction industry.  For every dollar that you contribute, MBI will match it up to a total association contribution of $500,000.00. 
 
Another Successful Year of the Sporting Clay Events is in the Books

MBI recently held the 3rd Annual MBI-PAC Sporting Clay Builders' Classic events in Eastern and Central Iowa. There were 125 participants and $26,000 was raised for the MBI-PAC.  The weather couldn't have been better in each of the locations and a great time was had by all in attendance!  The photo galleries from the events are up on the MBI website and can be accessed through the links below. 
 
 
Construction Job Board
The MBI job board is now available for uploading your current open positions! This is a brand new MBI member-only benefit that was designed to help our members fill the commercial construction workforce gap that is growing at an alarming rate.
 
MBI members can post career opportunities, as well as internships that are available within their firms. Our goal is for this website to become the go-to resource for companies to post their opportunities, and for job seekers to search for construction industry jobs.

Announcing New Leadership Partner - David Rabiner
MBI is thrilled to announce David Rabiner as our new partner in leadership training! David has a long-time history with MBI in providing quality and well-received programs.  David will be our partner in delivering our in-depth leadership training program, The Leadership Experience. He has presented his fast-paced, compelling and fun programs over 2,000 times in 46 states and 12 countries. His programs trigger personal change, which is the hallmark of a great executive coach.  Attendees of The Leadership Experience, led by David Rabiner, will leave with a personal leadership plan that will positively impact the way they present themselves both internally, and to owners. They will leave with powerful influencing skills that are necessary for success in the construction industry.

Reminder - Register for the Member Appreciation Luncheons
