The Leadership Experience - Register Today!

In 2013, MBI introduced this interactive and unique approach to leadership training. The Leadership Experience class meets once a month on a Thursday and Friday, over a four month period of time. The four sessions are organized into learning experiences, with each including a pre-session assignment, lessons by the presenter, role play, team exercises and networking time. Complementing each session, Tom Emison provides private leadership coaching over the phone. Becoming a great construction leader does not boil down to what you know technically, nor is it about who you know. It is about ... you: your character, your ability to lead yourself and others; your influence in good times and bad; and your individual career journey.

High Performing Leadership Series for Project Managers and Project Supervisors - Register Today!

PM SUP Series

MBI is excited to once again offer our High Performing Leadership Series for Project Managers and Project Supervisors in an environment designed to focus on leadership and teamwork between two critical positions within a construction team. This exciting series will combine the experiences and knowledge of project managers, project supervisors, and presenters focused on team building workshops to address common construction roadblocks to effectiveness.

Ethan and Dustin bring a wealth of construction industry experience and knowledge to deliver this leadership series. Larry Cormicle of Cormicle Consulting, L.L.C. and Iowa State University will deliver a portion of the program centered on project planning and scheduling. MBI Recognizes Excellence

Each year at the Master Builders of Iowa (MBI) Annual Winter Conference, the association recognizes member firms and their employees for exemplary performance in industry initiatives that represent the tenets of our association, skill, integrity, and responsibility. These awards and recognition programs celebrate the success of MBI member companies and highlight individual and company-wide accomplishments. They are the perfect way for MBI to recognize leaders in the industry as well as award outstanding projects.

Out-of-Country 2015 - Punta Cana

The all-inclusive, and all luxury, Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic is the location for MBI Out-of-Country Excursion this winter.  After reading the predictions of how terrible this winter will be, the white sand beaches and deep blue ocean that the Dominican Republic has to offer sound awfully inviting!  We invite all members to join the membership on this conference extension to the tropics - February 26 - March 3, 2015.  The MBI education program, the location and the social activities that the trip has to offer has already started attracting an excellent cross section of MBI member firms.  Plan now to get away from the Iowa winter and enjoy a great time meeting new people, renewing old friendships and networking on the beaches of Punta Cana! For questions, please contact Laurie Delmott at (515) 657-4383 or ldelmott@mbionline.com.
