A Flooding St Louis?
Tuesday, November 11, 7:30 - 9:00 am
How do we develop a resilient St. Louis community in the face of a changing environment? Whether it's flood-plain development, a changing insurance landscape, or uncertain government regulation, part of the answer will be how we approach the relationship between water and our built environment. Panelists from diverse perspectives will discuss the current status and future implications of these topics.
Co-sponsored by the American Planning Association - Missouri Chapter, USGBC-Missouri Gateway Chapter, and the Urban Land Institute - St. Louis
New T12 Lighting Incentives
Ameren Missouri's ActOnEnergy BizSavers program is offering a new cash incentive for the replacement of T-12 florescent linear tube lighting with more energy efficient lighting. Nearly all T-12 retrofit projects are eligible for incentives,  and this incentive will be available until April 15, 2015.

In addition, the ActOnEnergy BizSavers offers cash incentives for virtually any cost-effective energy efficiency project, including
retrofits, retro-commissioning, and new construction. Retrofit incentives cover lighting controls, HVAC systems, motor controls, refrigeration, data center/IT upgrades, commercial cooking equipment and electric hot water heating.

Ameren ActOnEnergy Residential Rebates
Ameren Missouri's ActOnEnergy program also offers rebates to residential customers, including:
  • Recycle your old working fridge or freezer for free and get $50 cash back
  • Tune up your air conditioner and get a $75 rebate
  • Replace your central air conditioner and get up to$475 back

LEED 2009 Registration Deadline Extended
The USGBC recently announced that it will allow projects to register under the LEED 2009 rating system until October 31, 2016. The original date for LEED 2009 registration to close was June 15, 2015.

Extending to October 2016 gives LEED users and members of the green building industry additional time to prepare for LEED v4, the latest version of LEED, which features increased rigor and multiple updates. While the registration date has been extended, the last day projects can submit for certification, also called the sunset date, remains the same: June 30, 2021.
