Interested in opportunities to increase sustainability in healthcare? Join St. Louis Community College for their continuing education course: Greening Healthcare- What Goes In Must Come Out- Creating Sustainable Supply Chains.
This course will discuss the triple bottom line approach to greening health care supply chains, waste streams, and cafeterias. It will explore the opportunities and challenges facing a variety of unique healthcare environments- from administrative offices to sterile medical spaces. How-to critical thinking exercises will help prepare attendees to bring sustainability into their line of work.
This course is intended for a broad audience ranging from healthcare administrators and practitioners to facilities employees and healthcare design professionals.
INSTRUCTORS: Lisa A. Wynne, LEED AP BD+C, EDAC owns EcoScapes Sustainability Solutions, LLC, a full service sustainability consulting form. She has a background in architecture, with an emphasis in healthcare, but has been working full-time in sustainability for the last several years. She chairs the USGBC Higher Education Committee and has taught LEED preparation courses all across the country.
Lois Sechrist, LEED AP ID+C, is responsible for the Ascension Health Environmental Stewardship Program, including sharing of best practices throughout their hospitals across the US. Ms. Sechrist has a background in interior architecture and project management. She has taught the LEED Green Associate exam preparation course for the USGBC - Missouri Gateway Chapter for several years and is chair of the University City, Missouri Green Practices Commission.
