Lorie Burch Headshot

Happy Spring (although Summer is almost here)!

We have lots of fun & educational news to share with you in this edition, so we hope you enjoy!

On a personal note, some of you know that I am very passionate about my role as National Vice President of the Board of Director's for the American Business Women's Association (ABWA). This is an amazing organization that helps business women grow personally and professionally...and I can definitely attest to that! Click here to watch a recent speech I gave on what ABWA has done for me!

And now I am currently running for National President! The election will be held at our national conference in October.  As valued clients and business associates, I would LOVE the honor of your support as I campaign for this incredible opportunity to lead the nation's oldest and most prestigious professional women's organization.

So I'm sure you're asking, ok, Lorie, so how do I help? :-) So glad you asked!

1.    Attend my fundraiser on June 8, 2013!  You can even choose to be a "supporter" if you have a business to promote.  More information is below. To RSVP, please visit: http://thelorieburch4prez.eventbrite.com

2.    Donate a live or silent auction item to promote your business (email me if interested!)

3.    Make a direct donation, which can also be made at the fundraising site: http://thelorieburch4prez.eventbrite.com

4.    Forward this information to anyone who you believe may also want to attend, donate an auction item, or make a contribution

As will all campaigns and fundraising, every little bit helps...and I need YOU to help me on this amazing leadership journey!

Very truly yours,

The Estates and Probates Show:

The One About Legal Planning for Pets

Is your pet a member of your family? Whether you have cats, dogs or horses, you may have specific wishes regarding their care if something were to happen to you. You have a number of options available to make sure that your animals are taken care of and protected.

Click on the link below to watch Lorie and Matthew on location for this Estates and Probates Show about Legal Planning for Pets.  Special guest stars Stuart Grant and his dog Homer talk on how to protect your "furry loved ones" in the event something happens to you.  Cameo appearances by Teddy, Merv, and Domino Burch.

Even Young Adults Should Start Estate Planning

The last thing on the minds of young adults heading off to college is drafting a health care proxy and power of attorney. Once they emerge freshly educated four years later, visions of wills and trusts are also unlikely to be on their radar. After all, who thinks about ticking off items on an estate planning checklist while they're still in the throes of figuring out how they're going to pay off student loans?

Contact our office today to learn how you can get your young adults protected!
