Guidance Announcements for the class of 2014 Bright Futures Scholarship: The Bright Futures Scholarship application is now open. All seniors, regardless of their plans for after high school, should apply by May 30, 2014. The counseling department strongly recommends that students visit the Bright Futures website to become familiar with the program and to make sure they are on track to qualify.
Final Transcript Request: Seniors may now begin requesting final transcripts. The final transcript is sent to the college you are planning to attend to confirm graduation. Final transcripts should be requested through Naviance using the directions that follow, which are also available on the PVHS website, class of 2014, Guidance link. Please see your counselor if you have any questions.
Seniors: Reporting your College Search and Requesting Final Transcript 1. Go to the Ponte Vedra High home page and click on Naviance, listed under the FOR STUDENTS section of the column on the left. Log in with your username and password.
2. Your username is your email address. If you aren't sure about your password, try a few of your favorites. The system will not lock you out for multiple failed attempts. You can also use the "forgot password" option on the sign in page.
3. From the Naviance welcome page, click on the Colleges Tab
4. In the My Colleges box, click on the Colleges I'm Applying to Link. Make sure that all of the colleges you applied to are listed. If the list is current, go to step 7. If not, click on +add to this list and go to step 5.
5. Using the +add to list feature; enter ALL of the colleges to which you applied. Be sure to click on the blue lookup link to add colleges. Don't just type the name in.
6. Once you have entered all of the colleges to which you applied, scroll to the bottom of the page and click on ADD COLLEGES.
7. Very important! You must update the results of every college you applied to before you can request final transcripts. From the Colleges I'm applying to list, on the far right hand side of the table is a picture of a little pencil. This is under the "results" part of the column. Please click on the pencil, and then scroll through the list of all of your schools to indicate the result of your application. Don't forget to click on the UPDATE APPLICATIONS box when you are done.
8. Please select from the pull down menu the college that you are attending.
9. The school you are planning to attend will need a final transcript. Request it now.
Under the title of Colleges I'm Applying to, you will see a "request transcripts" link. Click on this and a list of all the schools that you indicated as having accepted you will appear. You will be instructed to click on the box where you want your final transcript sent. This, of course, is the ONE College you are planning to attend. Click on the box and then on the Request Final Transcripts box.
Congratulations and Good Luck Class of 2014!!!!

Boys' Lacrosse:4-22-14 Ponte Vedra Over Bolles in 1st Round Regional Game. With their regular season game cancelled due to weather, the Sharks met up with the Bolles Bulldogs for the first time this year in Tuesday's first-round play-in game. Goals by Chris Rogowski and Ryan Kirchhoff gave the Bulldogs the early first quarter lead. But after several unforced turnovers the Sharks settled down and gained their first goal when defender Parker Eastland picked off a pass and took it downfield and scored. PV went on to score four unanswered goals to take a 4-2 halftime lead. The lead built to 6-2 in the third but Bolles fought back with two more goals to once again close the gap. The Sharks maintained their composure and goals by Miles Silva and Logan Taucher stretched the lead again. When shots weren't ricocheting off the posts, goalie Colin Peaks was making save after save, a total of 11. In the fourth quarter Cody Legeza capped off the Sharks scoring with a hat trick. Several minutes into the third quarter, a slashing penalty gave the Sharks the opportunity they were looking for and Miles Silva fired one into the net. A second Rams penalty led to an Eric Applegate goal. Two more goals by Legeza and Silva gave PV a 5-2 lead. Lake Mary was able to stop the momentum, scoring two goals to trim the lead to 1 after 3 quarters. Applegate, Silva and Jason Randolph popped in goals to start the 4th and boost the lead to 8-4.
