Track and Field:
Ponte Vedra High School's boys' and girls' track teams competed in the UNF Spring Break Invitational this Friday (3/1) and Saturday (3/2).  UNF will host the FHSAA state track & field championships this May.  21 schools competed in the meet.

The PV Sharks were led by Nicole Greene who won the high jump with a leap of 5' 6".  The Lady Sharks distance medley relay team (Poole, Wonsock, Parkulo & Evans) placed third enroute to a new school record of 13:44.  Kerri Wonsock placed fourth in the 2000m steeple chase with a new school record performance as well.

The Boy's squad was led by Tyler Davidson in the discus with school record 157' 4" throw to earn him 3rd place.  Crisman Jones placed third in the 2000m Steeple Chase as he smashed the old school record in thrilling fashion.  Four steeple competitors (including our own Connor Schramm) leaped the last steeple barrier/ hurdle on the final straight away to vie for the top places.

Many sharks posted personal best efforts and our steeple chase athletes posted some of the best marks in the nation this year (though the season is still very young!).
