Now that you've read what our clients have to say about The Wright House Wellness Center, take a look at what we've done.
In the last 12 months, 2,444 individuals received services from The Wright House Wellness Center such as community outreach, telephone triage, prevention programming, case management for housing, medical or other reasons, counseling, food bank or complementary health therapies. All were provided HIV/AIDS education. Of these, 138 individuals were screened as "high risk" for HIV and tested; 164 people from target populations disproportionately affected by HIV/AIDS attended education and prevention classes; and 475 clients were referred to other social services through prevention/ case management.
We are grateful to all of you who have touched The Wright House Wellness Center including clients, holistic therapy practitioners, board members and other volunteers, our grantors, corporate and individual donors, members of other AIDS Services Organizations, volunteer groups raising funds on our behalf, vendors, independent contractors, and our staff. We couldn't have done it without you and we appreciate the time, energy and the support you have contributed to the lives of others. Thank you!

"The Wright House Wellness Center has always been special to me, for all the great work they do every day, and I've been an eager fundraiser and supporter since their inception. I'm especially grateful for their service to the community. My partner, JoeLane, was a client of the Wright House - back when it was called the HIV Wellness Center - when he first found out he was HIV+, and their assistance has helped him reach and continue to have an undetectable viral load and a strong immune system. And we've been able to share 14 years together."...Rob Faubion, host of the Violet Crown Cotillion along with Rusty's

MARTHA STEWART DIDN'T SAY IT
But we can. HIV Testing - It's a Good Thing!
It's a simple thing, too. If you test, you can get treatment and know to protect loved ones by practicing safer sex.
But only if you test.
The Wright House Wellness Center provides rapid, confidential, no cost testing for members of its Evidence-Based Interventions, Many Men/Many Voices (3MV) and Sisters Informing Sisters on Topics About AIDS (SISTA).
As importantly, our Certified Phlebotomist and tester, Shirley Giron-Douriet, offers pre- and post-test counseling and referral. Playing a dual role at The Wright House, she is also a Case Manager and can make referrals, to other organizations or to The Wright House internally, such as to our Best Single Source Plus Case Manager for housing.

From time to time, The Wright House and Shirley join other AIDS Services organizations in a community testing, such as one at a church during the Week of Prayer. Plans are afoot for another collaborative ASO event, to be confirmed. Stay tuned! To learn more about testing: austinhiv.com/testing-faq
