'The Inuit say that Raven was born out of the darkness. He was weak and lost. As he began traveling aimlessly experiencing the world, he realized that he was the Raven Father, Creator of All Life. Once he realized who he was, he gathered up his strength and flew out of the darkness to a new place which he called earth, but he was still alone, so he decided to create plants. As he flew around exploring this new world, he came upon a man whom the legend claims was the first of the Inuit people. Raven fed the man and taught the man to respect the world around him. Soon after, a woman came to be and Raven taught the both of them how to clothe themselves, build shelter, and make canoes to travel the water. As the two bred and spawned children, Raven cared for their children and educated them as he had done before.'

England mourns for her dead across the sea.

Flesh of her flesh they were, spirit of her spirit,

Shoes in Church

I showered and shaved................ I adjusted my tie.

I got there and sat................ In a pew just in time.

Bowing my head in prayer............ As I closed my eyes.

I saw the shoe of the man next to me....... Touching my own. I sighed.

With plenty of room on either side......... I thought, 'Why must our soles touch?'

It bothered me, his shoe touching mine. But it didn't bother him much.

A prayer began: 'Our Father'............. I thought,
'This man with the shoes has no pride. They're dusty, worn, and scratched.
Even worse, there are holes on the side!'

'Thank You for blessings,' the prayer went on.

The shoe man said................. A quiet 'Amen.'

I tried to focus on the prayer....... But my thoughts were on his shoes again..

Aren't we supposed to look our best. When walking through that door?

'Well, this certainly isn't it,' I thought, glancing toward the floor.

Then the prayer was ended............ And the songs of praise began .

The shoe man was certainly loud..... Sounding proud as he sang.

His voice lifted the rafters........ His hands were raised high.

The Lord could surely hear.. The shoe man's voice from the sky.

It was time for the offering........ And what I threw in was steep.

I watched as the shoe man reached.... Into his pockets so deep.

I saw what was pulled out.......... What the shoe man put in.

Then I heard a soft 'clink' as when silver hits tin.

The sermon really bored me.......... To tears, and that's no lie.

It was the same for the shoe man... For tears fell from his eyes.

At the end of the service........ As is the custom here.

We must greet new visitors, And show them all good cheer.

But I felt moved somehow........... And wanted to meet the shoe man.

So after the closing prayer........ I reached over and shook his hand.

He was old and his skin was dark..... And his hair was truly a mess.....

But I thanked him for coming.......... For being our guest...

He said, 'My name's Charlie............ I'm glad to meet you, my friend.'

There were tears in his eyes......... But he had a large, wide grin..

'Let me explain,' he said............. Wiping tears from his eyes.

'I've been coming here for months...... And you're the first to say 'Hi.''

'I know that my appearance...........Is not like all the rest.

'But I really do try....................To always look my best.'

'I always clean and polish my shoes...Before my very long walk.'

'But by the time I get here........They're dirty and dusty, like chalk.'

My heart filled with pain............ And I swallowed to hide my tears.

As he continued to apologize.......... For daring to sit so near

He said, 'When I get here............ I know I must look a sight.'

'But I thought if I could touch you....Then maybe our souls might unite.'

I was silent for a moment............. Knowing whatever was said

Would pale in comparison.... I spoke from my heart, not my head.

'Oh, you've touched me,' I said.......'And taught me, in part'

'That the best of any man..............Is what is found in his heart.'

The rest, I thought,............... This shoe man will never know.

Like just how thankful I really am.... That his dirty old shoe touched my soul.

Amazing Grace

Its author was an atheist slave trader who found salvation

When President Obama turned to the soaring lyrics of Amazing Grace to comfort the grieving families in Charleston, South Carolina this week, he was turning to a song that is almost as much of a staple of the U.S. Presidency as Hail to the Chief. Yet, as there is so often when race is the topic, the back story behind the hymn that is suddenly everywhere is not so simple.

Amazing Grace was written by an Englishman who in the early part of his life was an outspoken atheist, libertine, and slave trader. John Newton was born in London in 1725, the son of a Puritan mother and a stern ship commander father who took him to sea when he was 11 ("I am persuaded that he loved me but he seemed not willing that I should know it," he later wrote).

By 1745, Newton was enlisted in the slave trade, running captured slaves from Africa to, ironically, Charleston, S.C. After he rode out a storm at sea in 1748, he found his faith. He was ordained an Anglican priest in 1764 and became an important voice in the English abolitionist movement. At that time he wrote the autobiographical Amazing Grace, along with 280 other hymns.

Today Amazing Grace is beloved by Presidents and citizens alike and remains a go-to hymn at American funerals, because of its striking melodies and ever-popular narrative of personal redemption. The born-again Jimmy Carter was the first recent President to embrace Amazing Grace, singing it with everyone from Willie Nelson to Senate Majority leader Robert Byrd.

Kindling the divine flame

Over the last few months, we have read what Silver Birch told famous mediums Doris Stokes and Doris Collins when they visited the Hannen Swaffer home circle to hear the guide's superb teachings through trance medium Maurice Barbanell.

On another occasion, renowned medium Ena Twigg and her husband Harry were invited to meet the guide. Here is what he told them

IT is a great pleasure and honour to be here," Ena told Silver Birch.

"No, it is not an honour," said the guide.

"We are comrades in a great battle. We all have our parts to play."

"I rejoice if I can give encouragement to the instruments of the spirit and remind them of the important tasks to which they are assigned, so that they can fulfil their destiny and the world of matter becomes richer for their presence.

"In these days when there is so much difficulty, doubt and dismay, discord, strife and even violence, it is increasingly necessary for the power of the spirit to be spread wherever possible.

"Thus it can work its will in healing souls, minds and bodies, and opening the way to people so that they derive from their existence the richness that is possible for them.

"People like yourself, who are immersed in this task, should always pause and remember not the few you cannot help, except to be sorry for them, but the souls you can touch and kindle the divine flame within them, so that they can understand what they must achieve before they leave the earth.

"You are succeeding. You are helping souls all the time. This is the work that only the instruments of the spirit can do and none others.

"You should rejoice when you help one soul to realise that life and love are eternal, when you enable the sick to be healed, the weary to find strength, the puzzled and perplexed to be guided, and you send them on their way so that they begin to live as they should.

"This is the greatest work that can be done in your world today. You are helping to combat the terrible forces of materialism, the festering sore of your world, the cancer that spreads its malign growth and makes foul and putrid what should be beautiful and noble.

"It is only when realisation comes that life is founded not on matter but on spirit that sense and direction can come to your world and its multitude live in peace, concord and in happiness."

"Try to remember the fundamentals on which we are all engaged and realise that the work that is done is constantly succeeding. New tracks are being made.

"More people are brought within the radius of this great truth. Lives are changed and people turn to you and to other instruments when they thought there was nothing and nowhere for help to be given to them."

Here the guide repeated what he had told her previously - the help given by her husband.

"He is part of you," Silver Birch added.

"We are not two, we are one," Ena replied.

"As long as you know that the two are one and that you were brought together for the work on which you are engaged. There is a lot more in store."

The medium mentioned that she had been told her work was part of an intensive seven-year plan. "Do you feel happier with what we have been able to attempt?" asked Ena.

The guide told her:

"I am always happy when light is spread; truth finds more lodgements within beings and when knowledge ousts ignorance. There are still forces of opposition to be overcome.

"But there is nothing that anyone in your world can do to banish the power of the spirit which is there to stay."

In a reference to adverse Press publicity Ena said, "We fix our gaze on the stars and do not see the mud."

"That is very good indeed," commented Silver Birch. "I have told my friends that the Great Spirit, with infinite wisdom, placed the eyes at the top of the head and not at their feet, so that you could always look upwards and not down.

"Too many people not only cast their gaze downwards, but they think with their feet instead of with their minds.

"So the war goes on; it is an eternal war. There can be no let up. The power of the spirit is on the winning side.

"Those who are placed in positions of trust, the officers and generals, have been tried and tested again and again to ensure that they stand by their posts, confident that the foundations have been well and truly laid and they can play their part in victories that are in - evitable.

"There will occasionally be setbacks. The tide ebbs and flows. But as sure as the sun sets and rises and the seasons follow one another in a seemingly automatic procession, so will the power of the spirit continue to infiltrate all over your world, bringing great joy, peace, knowledge and serenity to many who do not now possess it.

"So, as you say, look up at the stars, not at the mud. Guidance comes from above, not from below. The powers that be will always sustain you; they will never neglect you.

"You cannot be given immunity from the difficulties and problems of your daily life. That is why you are on earth, to encounter them, to overcome them and to emerge triumphant, stronger in character and in spirit."

"In all the things that come our way, we just sieve the dross from the gold," said Ena. "We hope there is a little bit of gold left."

"There is plenty of gold. 'The earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof,' it says in your Bible. The Great Spirit owns all the gold there is.

"There are temporary custodians of it, but it cannot belong to them forever. They must relinquish their temporary possession at some time. But the gold of the spirit is yours for all time."

Answering a question Ena asked, Silver Birch said: "It is always to the good when people pray for peace and strive to co-operate with higher beings in our world.

"Together they can direct power into your world to bring an end to wars, violence and all that disturbs and threatens even the civilisation in which you live.

"There will always be, for a long time, outbreaks of war somewhere because man has not yet learned a simple truth: that all are part of one vast spiritual family.

"Though you may kill bodies, you cannot destroy spirits. Until this knowledge is shared and put into practice through its implications by those who direct affairs in varying lands, you are bound to have outbreaks of war."

Later the guide added: "Your job is to comfort and to help . . . If you have this knowledge and fail to live it, then you must pay the price because ignorance is not your excuse.

"Knowledge inevitably brings responsibility. More is expected of you when you have truth. And this is the great trust that is reposed in you."

After Ena commented, "We try to keep faith," the guide continued: "I am not criticising. I am only trying to inculcate what must be the prime foundation on which your world can live in peace, harmony and well-being, so that all are able to develop physically, mentally and spiritually.

"That is the important thing. You go ahead. You know that you are on the right lines. If the storm blows sometimes, let it do so until it dies down. You will emerge.

"It has to be that occasionally those who try to help must suffer, but then show the mettle of which you are all composed so that nothing can disturb you . . .

"We are quite happy with the way the plan is unfolding itself. You can hold your heads high. Welcome every opportunity that comes. Nothing can stop the power of the spirit from performing its benevolent tasks."

Next the guide welcomed Ruby Miller, the ex-Gaiety girl, who was paying her first visit. He told her: "How fortunate you are to have had this knowledge brought to you when you needed it most and had nowhere else to turn. You have since realised that those who love you cannot be separated from you.

"Excessive grief means that the one lamenting is really sorry for himself. It is his loss that is being mourned.

"No tears need be shed for those, at least the vast majority, who come to our world. They are better off. It would be difficult for them to be worse off, wouldn't it?"

"It is so sad when they are in the flesh that they cannot understand," said Miss Miller. "They are materialists who cannot realise that none of it matters. It is only a stage set. No one can go on when the curtain comes down."

The guide commented: "This is the difference between ignorance and knowledge. Our task is always to ensure that knowledge spreads and extends its boundaries all the time.

"With knowledge you can face life and understand. With ignorance you are dwelling in darkness.

"It is very sad for us, particularly when we desire only to help, that we find people are surrounded by a wall of ignorance, prejudice and self-created superstition that cannot be broken down because they are simply not ready.

"Truth cannot penetrate that thick wall. It is sad because the ones they love here cannot reach them either. For a time there is sorrow on both sides of the veil.

"All you can do is to play your part, when opportunities come, to help those who are brought to you. If you can help them to remove the blinkers from their eyes, then rejoice.

"If you cannot, shed a silent tear that they had the chance and could not take it.

"You are surrounded by love in our world. You earned it and that is why you have it. This love will continue to guide and protect you until the time comes for you to say farewell to your world and join those here who love you.

"You were very fortunate to have instilled into you not only an understanding, but to be born with the ability to see and hear beyond the surface.

"What I want to tell you is that in all the difficulties that surround you, keep calm. Let others worry.

"You have the knowledge. Set the example in the hope that it will rub off. Then you can help those who alas do not share your knowledge.

"Always remember you can help, and no more. You cannot live others' lives for them. Each is responsible for his or her own life.

"You are always aware that the power of the spirit is with you. It will never desert you. This love will continue, as I said, to shield, protect and guard you all the time."

Asked to send a message to two old friends, one of whom was expected to pass on, the guide said: "The philosophy we are trying to instil is that you live for the moment. Never fear what the morrow will bring.

"You have knowledge. Use it. Let that be the base on which you build the whole of your outlook.

"You give them my love and tell them that they know that the power of the spirit is behind them and will do everything it can to help them. Death must come. Just welcome it when it does."

Be Like A Tree and Let the Dead Leaves Drop

Fall deepens into its transitional mode and we traverse the journey of Persephone into the depths of darkness to await rebirth. The velocity of change and fast paced living is exhausting. We must take extra special care to avoid accident. As we have seen in the news we have to take road rage more seriously. It can be fatal.

Vesta warms our hearth from Pisces and puts us in touch with the need for a balanced wholesome lifestyle. Ceres in Aquarius will nourish us with fun, liberty, eccentricity, uniqueness, individuality and freedom of expression. Oh Boy. Blocks are going to surface but Pallas Athena in Capricorn will get out her jackhammer to chip them away. Great discussions, debates and mind exchanges will touch upon a wider range of topics. Everyone talking about important issues will change the paradigm.

The clocks change back to standard time and Mercury enters Scorpio. There will be worthwhile renewal and transformational euphoria. Do not give up. Just as we feel the most obstructed we will disentangle and breakthrough. Then what we need will be magnetically attracted and what we do not need can be automatically repelled. Relationships, partnerships, contracts, agreements and other bonded circumstances get a shake up again because we feel trapped and cramped. Strong convictions however will point to the blocks within our own flow of Kundalini.

Still assimilating chaos and disorder we must move cautiously forward taking it one step at a time. Like walking on a field of land mines we can over-react to suggestion. There is a tremendous flow of evolutionary growth and world-wide change. It is a tipping point. We must make decisions based on the future we are creating. At this prophetic turning point we are all too aware of our faults, flaws and dysfunction as they are measured against others. We need to own an individualised sense of correctness to calm the inner strife and be at peace.

Venus glides into Libra tickling the senses and enhancing life with beauty, charm, art and excellent cuisine. That which feels like it is coming part is simply changing form. Proactive decisions fulfil us as we learn to say no and I do not know to avoid being suffocated by life. Body, mind and soul have the opportunity to come together in unison and achieve a level of completion. The status quo will change. Mars joins Venus in Libra but it is not as graceful even though it can be a lot of fun. We are tempted toward extremes, too much compromise and accommodation, or dithering indecision and procrastination.

We will also start picking up other people's thoughts, secrets, masked feelings and deceptions this month. It can muddle the mind. We know we need to make course corrections but we are temporarily ungrounded by Neptune's station. Too much media hype, gossip or fantasy gets picked up by our psychic sponge. It is important to keep centred. We come to know things about other people and ourselves through this process of psychic reception but we are not meant to confront, reveal or share them. It is for our own edification and understanding. Everyone has thoughts they are not proud of and would not want others to know. We all have bad days and erroneous reactions. Filter these things. Be gracious.

Mercury gallops into Sagittarius to lighten the mood and allow for universal enthusiasm. Unrealistic plans and ideals get dissolved away. As stewards of this planet we are all taking the survival of the Earth seriously. We are all doing our part. Shared values are important. Whether they are shared amongst family, community, province or nation and globe it strengthens our support systems.

Indiginous prayer to The Great Spirit

Help me to remain calm and strong in the face of all that comes towards me.

Let me learn the lessons you have hidden in every leaf and rock.

Help me seek pure thoughts and act with the intention of helping others.

I seek strength, not to be greater than my brother, but to fight my greatest enemy - Myself.

Make me always ready to come to you with clean hands and straight eyes.

Daily Journal

23RD The Sun moves on to Scorpio now and darkness creeps further into our daily reality. Daylight savings will shift back to standard time at the beginning of November which evens out our lopsided hours of daylight. Those of us who do not change for daylight savings will enjoy the normal progression of fall's morning and evening darkness. Life's promise is to be found in the seed, bulb or perennial root. This zone of transformation brings with it the chill of hibernation, a time of rebuilding and recreating.

It makes sense that we become more interested in our own and other people's psychology. With x-ray vision we penetrate reality using insight and keen observation. Psychic receptivity is so high it ignores boundaries and barriers. These darker energies however can bring out complex motives, suspicions or competitiveness and a proneness to obsessive compulsive inclination and other dark states. Passions become fiery and conflict can make us volatile.

Scorpionic energies can be exploited. We need to have superhero ethics not to use the personal powers available to us to exploit others or a situation. The karmic responsibility attached to this sign is sure to create consequences for those who do. Move on from such people and let them fall to their fate.

We are winding ourselves up, twisting our energies into chaotic mayhem. Rash, impulsive and pushing for independence the overload within us reaches quite the velocity. We are in a hurry, racing against the clock, being too hasty as well as physically punishing ourselves with the demands we take on. There may be something to prove to someone so we pour all our energies into an impossible task. Accident, mishap and exhaustion for what; is it all necessary. These energies are challenging but we can make them worse.

The Gibbous Moon, the phase just before Full, is fraught with self-induced pain and doubt countered by flight and fancy. The world is still gyrating around us as we cycle through this inner turmoil. The sun rises and sets and life goes on as we are pulled kicking and screaming toward what is meant to be but we wrestle with its actuality. Stop fighting it. What a torment if we do not know ourselves well enough to be able to extract the opportunities and avoid the downfall. There is nothing else to do but learn our spiritual lessons and make a commitment to the unseen forces of destiny.

25TH Vesta in retrograde slips back into Pisces, a place she finds as comforting as home. This is the body, mind and spirit connection we need. We can cut to the core of the deepest self where we face the facts. Taking responsibility for our trespasses we honour all levels of our being. Self-development focuses on integrity, faith and truthfulness. There can be an awakening, healing, resolution or inner vision of what can be. We get in touch with that which has not yet come into being. We know without proof. Some get lost in their dream, in retreat, seclusion or some sort of self-restriction. This time is extra especially sacred {now till first week of December}. Vesta will also give us the focus to work as she is a bit of a willing workhorse who wants to do it right.

26TH We need to find balance between the needs of the self and the obligations and responsibilities to others. In touch with our deepest self it is possible to cut to the quick without injury. As a parent it is possible to have a fulfilling career. We need to fulfil ourselves through work, vision quest or spiritual practice. Taking personal responsibility makes us feel good as our integrity is important. In the process we find clarity, solitude and inspiration in our dedication. Intense devotion will manifest in one way or another. It can be devotion to family, work, a life of service, or in nurturing others. We learn easily and absorb what we learn. A high sense of duty reaches out to those in need. We want to care. Self-development is equally as strong as our wish to help.

27TH The Full Moon in Taurus, Sun in Scorpio, is rich and prosperous. We need to concentrate on improving our cash flow and capturing more investment by budgetary management. Importance is placed on the fine print, the minute details and vague or impaired contingencies. Take as much time as is needed to meditate, ponder or reflect if not sleep on the findings. It will be the inner voice that will recognise advantage and opportunity. The needs of people will be serious and unembellished. There are those who are threatened and have no homestead security. The ripples from that epicentre affect others in varying measure. They go out becoming of lesser and lesser impact but nonetheless issues about home and nurturance are impending. If what we wish and hope for is not fulfilled the air escapes from our balloon and we find ourselves low in spirit. It takes a lot of work to keep buoyant but that is where we must stay to catch the positive wave of prosperity.

Last I wrote Ceres was in Aquarius, however it retrograded during the summer and by the end of July was slipping back into Capricorn. It became serious again over these past two months but now that it is direct Ceres will re-enter Aquarius. We can get on to fun and liberty; freedom of expression, individuality and even be allowed some eccentricity. Uniqueness is nurturing, rebellion displaces the positive if we do not feel that others see our innovativeness. Our core self is revealed no matter how different or disconnected from the norm it is. 2ND Do not give up! Blocked energy or energy blockers get identified. How do we stop ourselves and who is most active in being obstructive? We get the opportunity to disentangle ourselves from such things and anything else on our evolutionary path that needs to be integrated. 3RD The Last Quarter Moon is more crucial than usual. Attend to whatever is necessary, do not postpone. It will cost money if there are any delays. Take care of work and responsibilities. It does not matter if it is internal or external evidence that is involved; sudden unexpected occurrences can affect relationship. Being too much of ourselves or if we do not know ourselves those are the two problems.

5TH We are getting swept up in the flow of change but trying to come back into line. This little warp makes it slightly more difficult. Unrealistic far-fetched expectations will experience the reversals required to wake us up to their discovery. While it is necessary to extend ourselves we must not press for or expect instant results. It could blow up in our face. Still assimilating chaos and disorder we must move cautiously forward taking it one step at a time. Like walking on a field of land mines we can over-react to suggestion, become too submissive or get trapped by an easy-going nature.

People push when their intention is to take advantage of those who are not aware of their motives. Refuse the most persistent demands. Meditation, reflection or simple ponderance will provide direction and clarification of purpose. Continuing to dissolve the injurious past is the ticket we need. So many alternative possibilities are brewing. We must avoid temptation, subliminal persuasion or outright seduction for it will change our plan. Do not take unwarranted detours. It is time for innovation so we will be entertaining the unconventional. It will be politically correct to do so. Purification of our innermost essence allows our individuality and self-expression to flourish. Take no shortcuts; we need to pay our way.

Social opportunities are sure to involve art, music, dance, excellent cuisine and good relations. Libra is fun, fickle and flirtatious. It tickles the senses. Get in league with harmony, balance and something better. The beauty of nature and its dramatic changes is intoxicating. Drama steals the scene. Artistic talent is discovered. We reconnect on many levels. Actively seek friends. Get out and about. Team involvements are encouraging.

If it feels like things are breaking down, there is a purpose. Wherever circumstances need other conditions to be developed then the situation must make way. Stop exaggerating reactions or inflating self-importance. See how things suffocate life. For some conception and parenting are important. For others it is vocation. Many are facing food issues or life and death situations. We are inclined to get involved with global issues that affect humans with hunger or poverty.

Body, mind and soul are involved in completion on one level or another. We must attend to what is left undone, things central to our being. Self-directed action is powerfully stabilizing. Wilful concentration, focused direction of our energy and agreeable integration will meet the bull's eye of our objective. Dedication to truth is necessary for self-determination. If the masculine side of a person is impotent then blocks, non-committal action, tunnel vision, aggressiveness or alienation can occur. Would you like to travel? Is there something to write about? Are there some crucial financial changes to be made? Think about one single most important thing that could be accomplished by December 11th. Plan, strategise and create the reality desired. It is time to find the next step, the next best thing, the most auspicious idea and to make it manifest. Everything that is worthwhile can require a financial investment. These investments are meant to be. Very positive upbeat energies empower our self-worth. We get out of a rut, spread our wings or fix and repair our karma. We are accountable but progressive and optimistic. Take steps toward prosperity consciousness.

12TH While Mars is transiting Libra, the Earth's collective energy current becomes more competitive. We need to consciously modify its influence by cooperating. If there is a tendency to be more compromising we would then discover greater scope with our work. With both cooperating and compromise we are better able to get along with others. At this time team work can accomplish a great deal, perhaps it can be more influential than a singular effort. Competitive sports get a boost from these spirited energies. A fair and just attitude prevails. Awareness of injustice provides the opportunity for corrective measures without interjecting personal advantage. More truly honed to our own centre or core self we demonstrate who we really are. Self-development classes about integrity, self-reliance and quiet strength were completed during the retrograde. We have sorted through our values and are demonstrating our deepest essence of self. People know who we really are. Self-acknowledgement and the acknowledgment of others will boost our newly refined self-image.

15TH The Crescent Moon is a delight to see in the evening sky. The budding lunar month is full of promise, the potential for self-improvement and financial recovery is strong. Excellent career significators and network connections promise success and advancement. Joy is experienced on many levels. An evanescent stimulation enlivens our disposition. Old issues dissolve in the light of newfound resilience. We are cleansing the past, past lives, soul's purpose and family ancestral attachments without actual concentrated effort. Fate empties its cache where we have earned grace.

We are picking up on energies more easily, other people's thoughts, secrets or feigned and masked feelings will have an indirect impact on our relationships. We have fewer boundaries or protocols therefore deception or illness can be passed between people. We need to consider our ideals, romantic illusion, or concrete expectations in relationship because we are clearing out old issues and need to delete what is not a realistic basis for interaction. 18TH We temporarily lose our grounding cord when Neptune stations. All too readily we absorb too much. Like a psychic sponge we are vulnerable to the influences of others, the media, hype, gossip or fantasy, brainwashing and social pressure gets to us. Confused, blurry, vague or over stimulated and fragmented we need to avoid detours, blind allies and dead zones. As Neptune begins to master its direct motion again we will be less inwardly focused on this sensation. We can tune into our hopes, our wishes and our dreams and we can reintegrate with the public or our community and family. If we can remember, we will do everything with love for ourselves and others with faith in the beliefs that sustain us.

It is the First Quarter Moon which is a phase associated with challenges, the challenge of becoming. Whatever we are initiating we need to have a good solid base of foundation for our effort and have solid back up from our support system. It is wise to push for what is important now but be tolerant and flexible in understanding what others are pushing for. We are a little fuzzy around the edges; what we present needs to be well rehearsed or at least be information that is very much our property. We will channel for others. We will step on unknown territory. In the search for self-realisation we must nurture our authentic self. Karma is unforgiving in this matter; it will nudge us back on the right track just like a good Mum with a proper scolding.

20TH Mercury will enter Sagittarius and when it does there will be a quickening that will stimulate the molecules of our being. It is a serious mind that will peak with curiosity and find universal enthusiasm. We generate hopefulness, optimism, buoyancy and find ourselves very restless for a chance to grow and expand within practical achievement. There will be solid, slow-but-sure development. Getting the big picture and the broader outlook is more important than gathering the details. Full of questions we pick each other's brains with delight. It is possible to be too blunt, to make mistakes and to be drawn to strange of unfamiliar intrigues. Shock and awe, humour, pestering or purposeless chatter rides on the spur of the moment impulse. Whether our parents are living or deceased, close or far away, together or divorced, we will tend to reflect on the childhood values, upbringing and experiences we shared with them. Ceres in Aquarius brings some levity so you can nurture yourself with fun and liberty. Friends and your intimate circle nourish you. Intellectual and spiritual beliefs have to come together. If they have opposing objectives you will not get to either. Pallas Athena in Capricorn urges you to get smart, be wise, follow a self-reliant path and promote yourself.
