20TH Super New Moon Solar Eclipse Vernal Equinox

After a seven month processional of New Moons occurring at the onset of each zodiacal month this will be the last one we will need to lead us to safe harbour. The storms of recent years have brought a vast number of us to our knees and left us beleaguered, battered and bruised. This New Moon occurs on the very critical last degree of Pisces. The Fool's leap or the leap of faith. Next month the New Moon precedes the beginning of the solar month suggesting we are on level ground.

At perigee, or the closest point of orbit around the Earth, the New Moon is a Supermoon. It is also a total solar eclipse in some locations. This phenomena seals our pattern reconfiguration in place. It is the fix that sets the ascensional paradigm we have configured into our innermost self. The Eclipse has the potency of a Mars cycle. That means consequential ripples from this eclipse will continue to reverberate through our lives for another two and a half years. Mars will be our guide to this self-realisation. We can call this Eclipse a cliff-hanger as it hangs onto the last minutes of Pisces. Decisions hang in the balance because of recently received revelations. These give us plenty to contemplate as we take our first steps in the new zodiacal year.

Many shifts are taking place and people are letting go of old attachments and agreements like never before. This Eclipse is a lovely picture of people shedding their burdens and committing themselves to a newfound freedom through their evolved self. It does not matter which form this freedom takes, in some aspect of our lives we will break free. We are empowered to think healthy thoughts about ourselves so we can break out of the old mould. If we are thinking well, we will view others in a healthier way also.

The Moon and the Sun enter into Aries following the Eclipse. Today, the first day of spring, the Sun and Moon are starting us off on a new cycle of the zodiac. The Aries Point is zero degrees of a three hundred and sixty degree circle. It marks the beginning of the zodiac, the first season, the rebirth of the Sun and the start of the growing season. A time when seeds are planted for future crops and seed ideas can take root.

For many of us the Spring promise of a change in weather is something we are hoping will come soon. In the regions hit by the arctic vortex I can feel the pessimism but hopefully things will change and look better soon after this newsletter is published. It may still feel gruelling and punishing. For those who live in B.C.'s good weather zone this is an exciting and active time. Everyone will experience this Spring in a different way.

Happy Spring Equinox and Solar Eclipse ~ as usual we experience equal day and night as we welcome the brave innocence of nature. The world takes on a new lightness after its winter rest. This is a time of awakening, emergence, shedding of restraints and acting on impulses. Animals come out of hibernation; mating season begins. We celebrate as nature comes to life. We have the drive to spontaneously and exuberantly do if not overdo.

Usually Aries jump-starts our year. It gets us moving and gives us a new perspective but this year is a little different. Even for those of us in good weather zones we are still within the hang-over zone; a hang-over from previous grievous times. So like a slack tide things will stew as they are however it will become increasingly brighter, not just with the increasing light but from within. Positive energies are stewing and brewing within after Aries ignites our flame. From this point forward; make good choices.

22ND Neptune still has a grip on us but it is passing. This state is not permanent. We must stop questioning ourselves, feeling hopeless, discouraged or inadequate. We need to dream, create our vision, fuel our ambitions with our energies rather than waste them. The old and the new are clashing. Fear is the enemy, no matter what, fear creates and fear destroys. Faith and belief can bolster low energy even if life is insufficient and inefficient. Come on, we have to do it for ourselves. That is the easy way out. The immune function is very low so if mood and attitude follow then minor infections, fevers or physical strain can result. Financial funding is slow to come.

23RD The Crescent Moon suggests that our best source of promise comes from within. We want to be our own authority and will actually wall people out to make it so. Only the closest of friends will be privy to our most cherished intentions. We are growing quickly but imperceptibly toward a more authentic version of ourselves. The pressure to create, foster and manifest our intentions is coming from inside of us. There is no demand or requirement except what we place on ourselves. All that is necessary is to point your bow toward the direction of intention and keep an eye ever forward. We are hatching ourselves and the incubation cannot be rushed.

The best strategy for success is to be polite and listen intently. Mentoring will be given and received. Opportunity and achievement are building. We see humour in our mind sets and that helps us to adapt them to an expanded version of what is best. Growing into self-authority creates new social forms. This emanation urges us to get passed our stall, or the rift that has stopped us in our tracks; to take the leap. We feel more self-confident by avoiding the disapproval of others who feed off of feelings of superiority. If we inflate things we will distress them. Our budding new self-expression will expand our scope.

24TH In a heightened state of intellectual absorption we are formulating plans with great objectivity. Perception is keen and exciting. We are being directed toward self-integration and actualisation. Creativity, intellect, cultural and spiritual sensibilities are enhanced. It is easier to get in step with the changing times, the endings and the turning points that replace what was. The different aspects of our being enrich and strengthen each other. With new ideas and inspirations we are drawn into the strata of our choice; artistic, political, healing arts, social consciousness etc. Integrated focused energies bring out our talents.

27TH The First Quarter Moon can make us feel like we are in dire straits if what we are trying to accomplish is not getting underway. We will be doing what we were meant to do. If the foundations of the enterprise are rocked by an element of uncertainty it will sponsor critical actions that will rectify the oversight or design flaw. No worries, we are on track. Boost the blood with chlorophyll and cleanse the blood with cinnamon. This is a good time to purify this life giving fluid. If we take personal responsibility for ourselves then no one else has to tell us what to do. Stay within the law and treat everyone considerately and kindly. Setting this intention opens up a clear channel to connect to what we need, want or intend.

28TH Vesta in Pisces ties together the body, mind and spirit connection. We are one with all living things on both sides of life, the etheric and the physical. In this sign Vesta will convey the awakening of self that will set us on our life path and connect us to what is next. Practical imagination creates a realistic dream, wish or hope. Sacred energy provides a magical knowing of what can be done. We can cure and heal the things that are the most difficult to talk about. It is time to withdraw from withdrawing. Restriction, retreat or seclusion can be draining.

29TH Palm Sunday

In touch with the deepest levels of our psyche we are able to deconstruct and reconstruct patterns and beliefs for our betterment. Penetrating analysis and introspection combs our psychology and releases images through our dreams. The ability to transform destructive forces helps global progress. The life threatening diseases, major crises and catastrophes, death and profound loss in world events will be of major global concern. The dark, dangerous, dominating and controlling people obsessed with power continue to seek ethnic cleansing but they have not got planetary support. The agents of compulsion need to be thwarted.

Will power pushes out of the cracks of our being. Physical energy wants an outlet like adventure, walking, biking, work-out, Tai Chi, Qigong etc. Independence and autonomy are important. Anger or frustration can be the result of cooped up energy or feeling no one cares. Build confidence, courage, self-image and self-reliance into action. Inner conflict will divide and conquer. Outer conflict will create solution. Get things outside the self where they can be rectified. Childhood patterns surface to release, clear and care. It is time to say no to anything that is not good for us.

Headstrong wilfulness takes exceptional physical and mental coordination. Whatever we get in our head we will want to do. There is a certain degree of compulsiveness that can stress this out of us. It is not so much non-compliance it is more self-will. There will be the extremist anti-social cavalier types that stand out from the rest. They are a sight to be observed as they speed along. Inclined to be a little defensive we might debate or argue the point more than usual. Criticism is pointed therefore we need to be careful. If there is agreement a group will excel. Working with others, cooperating and being agreeable helps to integrate each individual's effectiveness and this will really make things happen. Highly skilled strategy, teamwork and coaching are enhanced.

30TH Lessons of how to deal with values and resources gives us an eye for economy. We never stop learning and we never know it all; we just need to follow our capacity to cultivate the fruits of our good works. Maintaining a positive attitude we tend to rely on the friendliness of the universe and the spiritual integrity of nature. Potentials will be reached through a strong will and hard work combined with these powerfully procreative influences. We need to rearrange our thinking to see the world as both inviting and possible. Positive conditions are developing.

We are at the tension building crossroads of endings and new beginnings. No matter how committed we are to our path and the decisions we have made this flux can create inner conflict, hampering or a sense of dilemma. Perhaps we could say these are imaginings, anticipations or anxieties that are distracting our attention. This is not a good idea when we are crossing a bridge. This is no time for taking a radical new turn. Exploring our multi-faceted reality resolves conflict created by curiosity. It clarifies our focus and evolutionary purpose. These are universal forces of evolution and spiritual ascension. The middle path avoids the tension of the extremes. Resolution exists within our psyche. We are acclimatising to our resonation.

Mercury is not afraid to leap into Aries, joining the throng of initiators and promoters of progress. It wants to boldly push forward to initiate and set new goals. We seem to be flailing or flagging somewhere behind it. It tweaks our mechanisms to speak out and stand up for ourselves because we are provoked by unintentional suggestion. It is not comfortable to feel we must press on when we are not ready or feel we have all pieces in place. Be careful not to make unwise, bold or unexpected moves because the urge or surge suggests you should. Thoughts can go all over the place as concentration strays. Write things down and get back to them if everything flies by too fast.

31ST The Moon's light is brighter during the Gibbous Phase. It is as if someone is turning a light on in the night sky. This is true for our minds as well. Something will occur to us that sheds light on something important. It is such a wide range of possibilities I do not want to be specific. We will learn what we need to learn to get momentum. Financial realities need to be faced to make a commitment to a long range plan. Long sought information will answer ages old questions. It is impossible not to rock the boat. It will not tip over. Be creative and develop inherent talents. We can take on more at this juncture.

Mars lands on more solidly level ground as it enters Taurus. The placidity is profound when compared to what we have just been through with Aries. Invigorated nonetheless it becomes the mother of invention. This steadying force generates more patience and determination. Earth signs are known for strength and firmness. With our feet on the ground we are resourceful, wilful and persevering. We have our eye on a goal. With thorough and careful attention we make progress. If there are still some repressed energies, the kind that build up over time, they will explode with the slightest provocation. It will be the straw that broke the proverbial camel's back. When this happens we will tell others what we have not told them in no uncertain terms. Try not to accuse and do not hurt anyone with out of control energy.

1st April Fool's

Some confusion or muddle puts our thoughts in a disproportionate state. It is however a creative disharmony that finds a way to express itself spontaneously. The juggling of thoughts actually works itself out although it cascades and tumbles and we feel that we lose track of the details. There is a certain degree of trust that can be placed in letting the words form in the moment even though a clear line of thought cannot be achieved. Another leap of faith.

2ND We can put our own issues aside in order to get along or work with others when goals are shared. Very aware of past mistakes and their consequences there may be situations that need to be pulled apart in order to start again. It is all in the plan. If we are stuck on our own dot it will become alarmingly clear that our convictions are erroneous. False security is a hard attachment to let go. We want to be loyal to our narrowness. Through mutual honouring and comforting intimacy we can let down those guards and rigidities to allow form and structure to flex in a positive way. How we handle our issues now will have a hand in fashioning our financial destiny. How we work with communal involvements is up for review.

3RD Good Friday

We can have more fun and liberty in our self-expression when Ceres is in Aquarius. Being with friends is a nurturing experience. Enjoying each individual's uniqueness is a pleasure. Cooperative independence feeds and fuels everyone individually and uniquely. Children can behave erratically, determinedly or rebelliously depending on how much free expression they have or need. Eccentricity will come out in everyone.

We will all show our core self no matter how weird or disconnected from the norm. Those who are needy may feel they are not getting attention. Unintentional abandonment or being ignored is due to so many other things other than the self. Neediness fails to see that others are exercising their rights within a greater scope of latitude. They cannot be the centre of other people's attention. Accept what cannot be accepted and grow in dimension.

4TH Passover

The Full Moon Lunar Eclipse is translucently transfiguring. Shape shifting occurs in the moment as we reallocate our deeper beliefs and values. Every time something rings true for us in everyday life our dimension will budge toward changing the mould. It happens in increments, in bursts, in flashes or in quiet ordinary moments but it will be happening. Emotional shifts can be the most dramatic and destabilizing. Intellectual shifts are easier to navigate. Spiritual shifts accompany both. As we increase our vocabulary and broaden our definitions we become more than we were in every way. Most full moons are very active with people showing a fullness of self however this full moon is even more lively than usual but chock full of purpose.

5TH Easter Sunday

We are driven to develop more autonomy and self-determination. Challenge will provoke our courage and assertiveness. It is as if we are drawn into these bevies and once we find ourselves there we have to make the effort to cooperate our way out while also maintaining our sense of separateness. The warrior emerges when necessary otherwise exerting great effort achieves success. The dynamic is forceful and strenuous; great for martial arts or competition. This energy needs to be used for a good purpose or it can turn in on itself.

Becoming more quick minded and curious will create interesting impulses. We are inclined to take more risks than usual. It seems calculated but make sure it is. Small wounds from the past, unresolved annoyance and other similar emotions surface because they can be healed and cleared. In fact, behavioural patterns will be very evident. We might not see our own but we will definitely be privy to the kinks in others. That means other people can see us better than themselves too. Little mini-crises that create bumps in the road right now are meant to help us find our way and fix ourselves. Expectations, rights, privileges and powers may be issues we need to fix in ourselves.

6TH Whatever displaced anger we are placing on someone or something else, we need to own it ourselves. The consequences we are faced with are our teachers. This is the school yard of hard knocks. We can reject other people, destroy circumstances and assert our aggressions if we do not want to accept our lessons. A struggle between rights and commitments will mess up situations of responsibility. Desire can overrule with its bursts of intemperance. It reminds me of the fly in the spider web, the more it struggles the more caught up and doomed it is. Getting caught we can get unstuck but becoming stuck will be very frustrating. Try not to knock down that which is supportive. We can win a victorious battle but lose the war. Other hooks are reviewed too like obligation, tradition, expectation and duty or pity and guilt.

There is a good struggle to undertake and that is one that faces the affect that was caused and gets on with responsibility. Drudging along in repressed denial is the wrong frame of mind. It makes the personality difficult and uncooperative. We need to deflect discontent and dismay. Learning to form better judgement gets us unstuck. Accepting responsibility can relieve the feeling of being rejected. Putting self-authority in its proper place can negotiate frustrations. Burdensome as it may seem by applying ourselves as best as we can we will help everyone carry the load. Stress and struggle cannot be prolonged without time for refreshment of our inner spirit. It is important not to burn out because of an intense focus on responsibility. Redefining, developing better method and releasing are the theme.

7TH Passive-aggressive exploration of existing commitments, obligations and partnerships makes everyone inconsistent. Eyeing each other up makes involvement uncomfortable for no apparent reason. We are motivated to examine where we stand. The trouble is each of us tries to dominate the other or is too full of pride to be compatible. Those who have trouble dealing with their anger end up venting it unfairly on others.

Existing relationships will deal with adapting to their issues and conflicts. Single people are stirred to take action to acquire a relationship. There is a high degree of assertiveness and competitiveness in this atmosphere that is sure to attract a feisty spirit. Many may wrestle with marriage roles and traditions trying to come to a difficult decision or choice. For others it may be issues of morality, belief, judgment or opinion that gets in the way of relating. If the connection wants to break; give it its way. It is for the best.

8TH As the Moon's light begins to fade this Disseminating Phase acts as the disbursing agent, the seeding machine or town crier to spread fulfilling means around. Great blessings and a strong sense of personal achievement comes from evolutionary development. The morphed shift is resident within our spiritual centre or inner spirit. We are happily engaged with others because we are more sure about our own cause. Emotions are stable, philosophically open and exploratory. Our sense of self-worth is growing and our values are changing because of enlightened choices. Strong minded friends will be our best reflection.

Jupiter will resume direct motion in tandem to this disseminating phase which releases opportunity, advantage, success and good luck. It takes a few days to get traction; until we do it will feel like we are spinning our wheels. Let newfound enthusiasm, optimism, eagerness and good humour brew well before acting, speaking or setting things in motion. Independent aspiration makes a breakthrough that breaks free. We move toward a sense of promise. Clarification of our inner truth, faith, ideals and philosophical beliefs will help us to know what is possible. Once we have a full bodied sense of ourselves it will be time to move on, move forward and gain momentum.

On this day Pallas Athena also enters Capricorn, it is a banner day. Pallas works well in this earth sign. It has x-ray vision that sees the underlying structure in any form. Architecturally or sculpturally efficient, what we create will endure. A strong sense of correctness, responsibility, propriety and endurance gives us the ability to withstand. 11TH With Venus in Gemini the unacceptable is disposable. There is less likelihood that people want to make opposites workable. We are on the move with less consistency and constancy. Entertaining conversations are airy, witty and friendly but lack any depth or relevance. We are operating on superficial terms. To avoid anything we do not want to get snagged on we will cloak our words, hide our thoughts and censor people. The head is in gear so the heart is on the shelf. We seek variety with androgyny. The right and left brain will merge masculine and feminine, intellect with imagination, scientific with symbolic into a synergetic expression. It is easy to be callous.

The Last Quarter Moon is intense; it pushes our buttons and makes us look at ourselves from the inside out. People provoke, challenge and contest us questioning everything. Be careful with money, there are people out to swindle. They are not who they say they are. There is no get rich scheme that is worth considering yet. Do not jump at the first chance that comes along, there are better opportunities to come in the days that follow. Stress, chaos and unexpected shock undermine the health. This is not a good time to let vitality wear thin. If travelling, be careful with health concerns.

12TH Our senses are heightened. We are intuiting, filtering, probing, receiving and transmitting on a high vibrational level. This helps us to act with faith and belief in ourselves and a higher power. Physical energy is passive which makes this is good time for recreational retreat in a secluded location. We are capable to greater stillness or meditation. The imagination and creative intellect is peaked for writing and art projects. Sensitised we perceive new forms of consciousness that we will set about to develop. We see through others for what they are but we are okay with that. Motivation is transparent. Enlightenment is practical.

14TH Careful, unhurried, methodical thinking comes with Mercury's occupation of Taurus. Our thinking caps are working on all cylinders. We filter information, accept, discard or file the resource efficiently. We can stick to things to get them done. We have more determination and common sense. Our brains are primed and operating at optimum. We feel, sense, intuit and perceive while we go about our everyday concerns. We enjoy increased taste buds along with enhanced sensory touch. 16TH We are immersed in the rarefied atmosphere of the powers of attraction with the Balsamic Phase of the Sun-Moon cycle. Drawn to opportunity and personal advantage that will support our cause we will be drawn to people with the right organic essence. They will be healthy supporters of our continuing developments. Due to the influx of influential people and profound information there will be changes to our plan. We will see the errors of our ways, the misjudgement and the erroneous links in the chain. This is a good time to deconstruct and reconstruct our goals. We have a strong link to our past that gives us a stable foundation; our present is in creative development and our future is becoming what it was meant to be.

Many will experience a calling. We will be called to do what we are meant to do. We can tap into a multi-dimensional awareness that reveals our dedication and passion in life. Our great karmic benefactor Pluto is stationing, standing still in the space it occupies within our solar system. The metamorphic pressure coming from sources beyond our control will ease off. We get to investigate the current conditions of our psyche. The subconscious can peacefully sift through the mega pile that represents our "in" basket. We ponder the questions that come up; diffuse the conflicts of recent times and observe the deeper urges that are very slowly starting to surface. We are free to find our comfort zone with what is. Dreams, visions, inspirations and meditations help us to navigate the subconscious. Magnetic attraction draws what resonates with us. The first thought in the morning is potent.

17TH No one is going to do it for us. If we cannot do it for ourselves then we must reassess what we are going to do. Some involvements are winding down, some are failing or in need of remediation and others are extending us beyond our normal limits. Expansiveness can either be sustained or we must turn to the next quest or test. The ego can be the worst instigator of trouble and mistake. We cannot afford to build on fantasy. Do not be reckless; be resourceful with this infectious optimism. There is potential for good fortune if these energies are handled well. Mechanical problems are possible. Annoyances due to strong competitive urges, philosophical differences or confrontation of clashing opinions are ego related. Live and let live, we are all one, live together. We can blow small things out of proportion. If stressed, we are not doing it right.

18TH The New Moon is with us a couple of days ahead of the Sun's change of sign. We are on our new plateau of self-development and life achievement. The evolutionary spiral provides us with many along the mileposts of our lifetime. The ascensional plateau, however, is a rare accreditation for any incarnation. The New Moon influences are an echo of the Balsamic Moon, a richness of promise can be found by the seeker. We have selected our comrades and are in good company. The past is cleared, cleaned and pristinely ready for re-impression. Our journey of reconstruction is well underway. We are rebuilding, making right, rectifying and restoring because we are solidly grounded on our pathway of purpose.

Our minds are filled with odds and sods. It is difficult to apply our thoughts because they take a detour at the wrong moment. Even if we clearly plan our way there is quite likely to be at least one idea in the execution that is not right. Take extra time to manage this.

19TH Earth's survival is very much our business. We must take personal responsibility for the well-being of nature and all life. Everything from the smallest organism to the largest animal is as important as we are. We are released from the demanding agenda of our self-development so we can lend a hand in the greater good. We are all interdependent. Childhood values, upbringing, social integration and personal experience merge to find common ground and a new venue. We seek stability, longevity and depth. Families are strengthened. We build strong emotional support systems. Children will learn worthwhile lessons about responsibility and hard work. We realise the consequences of our mistakes and form better judgement. We get unstuck.

When retrograde, Pallas Athena helps us to work out our issues, especially those harder to deal with paternal problems. Being preoccupied with rightful strategy and understanding and applying indomitable attention to our cause we forget about our immune health. This protection shield is internalised so we need to shore up our defences.
