Turning the Table

"Whosoever thou art that dost another wrong, do but turn the tables: imagine thy neighbour were now playing thy game, and thou his." Robert Sanderson 1634

According the Oxford English Dictionary, if you "turn the tables"
on someone, it is generally understood that you have reversed the fortunes in your favour to some capacity, so as to "reverse one's position relative to someone else, especially by turning a position of disadvantage into one of advantage." Useful saying, especially for motivational half-time speeches at sporting events, but where does it come from?

Believe it or not, from board games!

Backgammon and similar games belong to a class of board games referred to as "tables," a general name given to games played on a board with dice. If the game wasn't going in your favour, you would have to "turn" them, figuratively, if you wanted to win. You can't actually "turn the tables" in a game of backgammon, although that would be nice. The phrase is a metaphor, a substitute for the common idea of a "comeback," because you would have to reverse the board/the players' current positions/situations in order to change the outcome.

While not as directly relevant to the meaning of the phrase in today's language, there's also a hint of this phrase, at least in terms of the words themselves, found amongst old-school dinner party procedures. To prevent anyone from being excluded from conversation, the host would choose a direction (typically the right) and speak with the person to that side of him/her. Everyone else was to follow suit, until the host "turned the tables" halfway through the meal, at which point everyone then switched their focus to the person on the opposite side.

Table-turning or table-tipping is a type of séance in which participants sit around a table, place their hands on it, and wait for rotations. The table was purportedly made to serve as a means of communicating with the spirits; the alphabet would be slowly called over and the table would tilt at the appropriate letter, thus spelling out words and sentences. The process is similar to that of a Ouija board.

Osiris, Isis and Horus

This presentation is inspired by recent viewing of the movie "Noah"; which in my opinion is a conglomeration of many stories into one. I did not like it, I had my head buried in Dave's shoulder most of the time, but I cannot stop thinking about it; huh!

Heru - access to left hemisphere of brain
Hero - replaces the word that opens us up to our intuition

The word "hero" comes from Greek "heros" (this is the part that you are shown in etymological dictionaries), which is based on Khemetic "Heru" (this is the part that you are not shown!). This is a great example of how we are being controlled through language, words and spelling. Both words "hero" and "Heru" sound almost identical in spoken language and, as most people are not aware that there is an ancient concept by the name of "Heru", they are prevented by utilizing the word "hero" from having mental access to the concept called "Heru". The word "hero" is literally blocking Heru in the left brain hemisphere. The word is the same, but in the minds of people it is made to carry a new meaning. And (not surprisingly, if you understand the magi-cal white wash function of language) this new meaning is designed to distort and hide the original meaning by occupying the space in the mind that was originally reserved for "Heru". In this particular case, the word "hero" still expresses the original concept of Heru, but "hero" is an external projection of the original "Heru", which takes place within. The external hero originated as internal Heru.

The reason why Heru was hidden from sight and replaced by thousands of external heroes is because the internal Heru is the key to the immense individual, natural power that we have. We are not supposed to be aware of our power and instead follow external heroes, so that we can be controlled, easily manipulated and ruled over. People aware of "Heru" within themselves would be much harder (if Heru-consciousness is fully developed, impossible) to control. This is the reason why we are being bombarded with thousands of external heroes in the media every day, in movies, in sitcoms, in books, in newspapers, in fictional stories, in the daily news, in our fantasy, in sports, in arts, at work, everywhere around us are heroes that we are made to like, love, acknowledge, admire and worship (religious substitute). Hundreds of millions of adult males worship footbal stars today, which are merely adult men playing a children`s game. How can this be?

The real, original hero is Heru, which is within us. Heru is within each single member of the human family, regardless of age, sex, religion or race. We are a miniature version of creation. Our consciousness affects the physical world (as I have explained in this blog entry). Our thoughts form the world of tomorrow. The highest occult teaching in all ancient spiritual traditions is that man and creation are the same. This is also reflected in the esoteric side of Abrahamic religious systems (Sufiism in Islam, Gnosticism in Christianity, Caballism in Judaism) and the most recent and most powerful "savior god" hero character that has been (forcedly, with lots of blood, torture and murder) introduced to the world is Jesus, the Christ (it would actually make more sense to say Christ, the Jesus, because Christ is "physically enacted" as Jesus).

With billions of believers, Jesus is currently the most popular hero character on the planet and he accomplishes in believers` minds exactly, what I have described above. The Vatican attributed "unique divinity" to this character, which means that his Christhood is not attainable for believers. He has been designed as external hero, onto whom the believers can project all their hopes, dreams and their expectations of one day receiving redemption/ salvation (two very misunderstood words), both individually and as humanity. The conscious acceptance of belief in such an external "savior"-hero inevitably produces inactiveness on behalf of the believers, who are now condemned/ relieved to waiting until their promised hero returns. The (forced) projection of emotions onto an anthropomorphic character is designed to generate bondage to the church and to allow the church to represent the hero. Projection of hopes and dreams of a better tomorrow onto a hero figure eliminates the present individual initiative of believers, who are thus spiritually muted and inactivated ("I can`t do anything anyway, until Jesus returns"). The church can now step in and fill this power vacuum and exercise (mind) control. There are hundreds of similarities between Horus (Greek for "Heru") and Jesus and it is clear that Heru/ Horus served the Piso family as role model when they designed Jesus (I showed how the Jesus character was constructed here).

IS - RA - EL = you

Heru is a so-called "Neter"/ NTR, which is mistakenly translated as "god" by mainstream Egyptologists. Instead, a NTR should be understood as a "force of nature" (in fact the word "nature" is derived from NTR). Initially, Heru (falcon headed) was a sky- Neter, and his two eyes represented the sun and the moon. Later, as Heru-Sa-Aset (Heru, son of Isis) he became part of the divine Egyptian trinity (see above, left to right, Heru/Ausar/Aset = (Greek) Horus/Osiris/Isis = (Vatican) Son/Father/Holy Ghost). Heru is the father re-born as his own child, who takes his father`s place, which is a grand allegory that describes how man/ woman rids herself of her lower nature (Seth) and is re-born as his/ her own spiritual son (daughter) in higher nature (Ausar). This is represented by Heru`s famous struggle with Seth, who represents the lower (animal) nature within man/ woman. This is not really a "fight between enemies" as often portrayed by "scholars" today, it is much more about the shifting of balance between two poles of the same attribute. Heru (Horus, Jesus, Krishna, Quetzacoatl, Mithra, etc.) and Seth (later transformed into "Satan" by the Vatican) are actually twin brothers, "walking the same path" (two concepts of consciousness, both within each one of us).  "Heru" also means "face of the falcon", which was a title given to young, male initiates into the Egyptian mysteries.

The shift from one polarity to the other is driven by the divine power of will, which is the principle that Heru stands for. It is not so much the act of willing itself, more the "fiat" power of will, the awareness that the will is the highest "commander" in life. Every human has the divine, free will/ choice, to resist and move away from her/ his lower (animal) nature (controlled by the Reptilian and Limbic brains) and to follow higher (divine) will (controlled by the Frontal Lobes and the Cortex), which is a unique choice that only human beings have and which separates us from animals. In the Paut Neter, the Egyptian Tree of Life (later re-invented as "Caballah" by the Het Heru, Hebrew, see picture above) this power of will is represented by the 6th sphere of consciousness (in Caballah the 6th Sephiroth is "Tiphareth"/ Beauty). Through conscious spiritual evolution ("religious practice"), the Heru consciousness is to be joined with the True Self, which is Asar/ Ausar/ Osiris. When the Heru consciousness is fully developed, one has complete control over emotions, complete command over all forces within body and mind. There is nobody and nothing external that can make you do anything that you don't
want to or disturb your inner peace (Ma`at, Islam, Allah). This is the ultimate power (awareness) of will, which is the "beauty" of life. (for in depth studies, see booklist of Ra Un Nefer Amen, here).

 The Eye of Horus

The Wadjet/Utchat eye symbol is constructed on the basis of brain anatomy:

The "Eye of Horus", also called "Wadjet" or "Utchat" is used to represent the power of Heru on both macro- and micro- cosmic scale (as above, so below).  The right eye of Heru (connected to the left brain hemisphere) represents the sun , the left eye (connected to the right brain hemisphere) the moon.

(side note: this is why in the music industry a lot of stars are shown covering one eye, they are made to show you that if you follow this garbage culture, you are living only with one eye open and using only one brain hemisphere, the modern high priests are making you aware and mocking you at the same time, see examples here).

The main components of the Utchat are the Thalamus, the Hypothalamus, the Corpus Callosum and the Medulla Oblongata, which are the main features of our central (higher) brain whose delicate interplay generates what we refer to as the "power of will". To thoroughly explain this interplay would require a separate post, the Medulla Oblongata for example is the seat of memory. Anthropomorphized, the Medulla is Tehuti/ Thoth (Greek: "Hermes" which is based on "Heru Mes"), from which we get the word "thought". Human (brain) anatomy was completely decoded by the Egyptians (and of course their spiritual predecessors, the Ethiopians, whereby "Ethiopia" does not refer to the small territory that we know today, "Ethiopia" is a Greek word construction meaning "burnt faces"). The Utchat symbol is a powerful example of the superior knowledge developed by ancient Africans, some of which has been hidden, some of which has been forgotten and some of which is currently too complex for us to understand, as our right brain hemispheres are under-developed and we have lost touch with our inner spirituality (our "essence of being"). We currently live in a left-brain world and believe in left-brain science ("science" means "divided knowledge").

The sun and moon represent the mystic marriage of the soul and the spirit within the human body, which generates the Gnosis/Crestos/ Karast/ KRST/ Christ/ Krishna, which is the spirit force operating through the core of the sun/ solar core of the earth, which emerges in man through the heart (and cardio-vascular system), which is the place where the soul "splits" from emotions. This is why Jesus is shown pointing to his heart (see above). It is also the reason why Jesus is called "the divider" (e.g. Luke 12:51. "Do you suppose that I came to grant peace on earth? I tell you, no; but rather division."). The soul meets the spirit/ holy ghost (breath), air is represented by the NTR "Shu". Thus, you get Ya- Shu- Wa/ Joshua, which is one and the same as Jesus. Shu mediates "good" (ya) and "bad" (wa), or "heaven" and "earth", or in Khemet "Nut" and "Geb":

Shu {centre, standing, breath/air} divides Nut {infinity, zodiac, higher nature} from Geb {on the floor earth, lower nature}.
On the left and right side stand Khnum {creation aspect of Ra, the Sun} and Amen {the hidden one}.

If we want to be free and society to change to the better, we need to acknowledge and exercise our own, internal, superior power of will and take responsibility for generating happiness from the inside.

As we shake off external heroes and gain back our power, we automatically withdraw it from our controllers. There is no need to protest anything. There is no need to be "against" anything. There is no need to fight with anyone over anything. There is no need to feel bad about anything. There is no need to look up to or wait for heroes of any kind.

The real Heru is you.

There are no external heroes.

Horus Falcon

Beginning with the dark days immediately after the death of Osiris; when Seth and his henchmen are tyrannizing over the world, Horus assumes control of his own destiny. He appears as a falcon and soars up into the sky beyond the flight of the original bird-soul, beyond the stars (the "gods of Nut") and all the divinities of olden time whose souls inhabit the constellations. In so doing he brings back light and the assurance of a new day, thus subduing Seth, who personifies the terrors of darkness and death. The opening section moves within the main Osiris myth, but this disappears when Isis suddenly realizes she will give birth, not to a child, but to a falcon. Isis dreams prophetically that the child quickening in her womb will grow up to restore the rightful order of the world. In a new scene, the birth is about to take place, Isis comes forward to Atum who is surrounded by his divine courtiers. Finally, Horus is born and flys up of his own accord.

There were two primary gods called Horus: the first was the original falcon who flew up at the beginning of time -- the most ancient bird -- and the other was the son of Isis and heir to Osiris. They are compounded in this Coffin Text. Instead of being born in the Delta swamps and growing up in secret, Horus is offered a place in the sun's boat, but he transcends both his earthly fate and that as a subordinate to Re. He flies up and across the night sky of the Underworld to land on the edge of the world, bringing with him the twilight that comes just before full day. The old belief is that Horus was the leader of the decanal stars which circled around the sky in the path of the sun. The appearance of Horus just before dawn is the mark of a new year, and the world's great age begins anew.

All About Horus

Natural Women Are The Most Beautiful Women

Meryl Streep

  by Rich Naran

Women like to feel beautiful. The women's beauty industry is a mega billion dollar juggernaut that blankets the modern world as we know it. Still, there is more to beauty than cosmetics, clothes, perfumes and accessories. Natural women hold the key to real womanly beauty.

What is a natural woman?

The definition is a wide and deep as the person themselves. Despite any preconceived notions natural women are not a mystery. They are women who are comfortable in who and what they are. They can be versatile. They can be driven. They might choose to be a homebody, a factory worker or a model. No matter what they are and do, natural women are always themselves. The most beautiful women always are.

Why?

Judi Dench

Natural women have an aura about them. They find comfort even in their own insecurities. They don't have to flaunt "I am who I am." It flows effortlessly from them. They are not afraid of their emotions. They will even share a laugh with you over their flaws. Natural women form deeply based relationships. They don't depend on cosmetics, perfumes and fashion. They see them for the most part as accessories instead of necessities.

The differences of a natural woman

They are subtle. I have held hands with women that really are the farthest from natural as can be. The feel in the touch is of a natural women is a world apart. A not so natural woman exploits or forces hand handing. They have to think about it. With a natural woman it just happens. Almost without thought the hands glide together. It's not a statement. It is a state of being. The kiss of a natural woman is passionate even in the most incidental of expression. Why? She doesn't have to think about it. It is an involuntary action that originates from the heart. An unnatural woman will seem to start out that way but it fades away over time. Their actions come from what they want not who they are.

Why are they the most beautiful?

Natural women emanate even in there worst of moments "this is me." They will wake up in the morning and not have to run to the make up table. They glide into the day. Everything is performed with an "I care" aura. The don't look for glory in what they do and who they are. Yet, their appreciation of recognition is deeper felt and more profoundly expressed.

Who is a natural woman?

Vanessa Redgrave

She can be anyone because she always is herself. She is a woman not afraid to lead with her heart. She is a woman who when she cares about you, there is no looking back or over the shoulder. She relates with true lasting emotions. They won't be swayed. Her feelings are real, worn on her sleeve, and etched in stone.

How do you come across a natural woman?

The Bee Gee's sang "Oh, girl Ive known you very well...I've seen you growing everyday...I never really looked before...But now you take my breath away." She is a woman that happens in your life. I know this all too well as I recently experienced. I became friends with a woman who's beauty emanates from her heart through her eyes. Overtime an attraction grew as she wasn't afraid to be herself. She shared her insecurities. She laughed over her flaws. She was open about self. As the song goes, I got to know her very well and one day I realized I began looking as I never looked before. The answer to the question is you come across a natural woman, naturally. One day you open up your eyes and realize she is there.

Let's talk about who are natural women

I have met many natural women in my time. I have even met those that pretended to be. Over time the gap widens and the unnatural women are eventually exposed. You may ask, "Can woman be a natural woman?" The answer is a yes and no that needs a deeper look. Any woman can be a natural woman but few rarely are. Can a fashion model be a natural woman? Well Cindy Vela is a model/actress. We share a community bond on myspace . She blogs and writes bulletins and saying silly and serious things and appears quite natural and comfortable as herself. This woman displays picture from both her professional and private side. When I voted for her in a magazine cover contest, she graciously took time to reach out to say thank you. Having a background where I dated Broadway actresses and dancers, I would say Cindy by far is much more natural. As is Austin based model, Cee (http://www.myspace.com/austinhotmodel) who is very candid about the "I am who I am" lifestyle. She is very comfortable, very natural and very personable as person. I won't hesitate to tell I have met natural women form all walks of life and professions. They are proof you don't have to be model-like to be beautiful.

Touching on the unnaturals briefly

We have all encountered them. These women put on the air of being natural. Yet, instead of wired and push up bras, make up and other beauty enhancers being accessories they are lifelines of necessity. They really are about appearances. Natural women as I said do things from the heart. The unnaturals do out of self gain and what suits their purposes at the time. They don't form true relationships, they form alliances that fit the moment. Unnatural women will change emotions and relationships as they see are in their best interest at the time

Beholding a natural woman

The beauty of a natural woman shines through. As with my friend I mentioned earlier after time and getting to know her, my feelings mirrored that of the Bee Gees song. To behold one, you have to open up your eyes enough willingly enough to see the person. When you do you will see natural women are the most beautiful women. You will also see they are all around you.

Top 10 Most Powerful Women in History

The pages of history are littered with the names of powerful men. But from time to time, there have been women who have shone out as being equally powerful as the men in their time - some of whom have even gone on to shape the future of the world as we know it. This is a list of ten of those incredibly powerful women.

10. Eleanor of Aquitaine
born 1122? died 1204

Eleanor was one of the wealthiest and most powerful women in Europe and the world during the High Middle Ages. Eleanor inherited the Duchy of Aquitaine and Poitiers after her father's death when she was only 15. As a result, Eleanor became an independent ruler in her own right receiving the titles of Duchess of Aquitaine and Countess of Poitiers. Aquitaine was the largest and wealthiest province of France during the 12th century. Unlike many other monarchs and women of the Middle Ages, Eleanor and her family were very well educated. Eleanor is credited for having transformed Aquitaine into one of the largest intellectual and cultural centers in Medieval Western Europe.

Eleanor became Queen Consort to Louis VII of France in 1137. During her marriage to Louis, she participated in the Second Crusade in 1147 and even traveled with her husband to the Byzantine Empire. Eleanor became a key figure in developing trade agreements between Western Europe, Constantinople, and the Holy Land. She eventually had the marriage to Louis annulled in 1152 and in 1154, Eleanor became Queen Consort to Henry II of England.

In 1170, Thomas Becket, the Archbishop of Canterbury, was assassinated for going against King Henry II. Eleanor, among many others, strongly opposed the assassination. This eventually led to the Revolt of 1173-1174 in which Eleanor, three of her sons, and rebel supporters sided against Henry. The revolt failed, however, and Eleanor was imprisoned for sixteen years.

9. Hatshepsut
born 1508 BC?
died 1458 BC

Hatshepsut was one of the most powerful women in the ancient world. She was the fifth pharaoh of the Eighteenth Dynasty of Ancient Egypt and she ruled longer than any other woman in Egyptian history. Hatshepsut was married to her sickly half brother, Thutmose II, and the two of them began to co-rule after the death of their father, Thutmose I, in 1492 BC In 1479 BC, Thutmose II died and Hatshepsut continued to rule by herself until her own death in 1458 BC

It is believed by many Egyptologists and historians that Hatshepsut was one of Ancient Egypt's most successful monarchs. She commissioned many building projects and reestablished trade networks that had been disrupted by the Hyksos invaders of the Second Intermediate Period. Hatshepsut also led a large-scale expedition to the Land of Punt, a wealthy and sophisticated country to the south of Egypt. Hatshepsut is also believed to have led successful military campaigns in Nubia, the Levant, and Syria during her reign.

8. Maria Theresa of Austria
born 1717 died 1780

Maria Theresa succeeded her father, Holy Roman Emperor Charles VI, as empress of the Hapsburg controlled lands of Central Europe in 1740. She made her son, Joseph II, coregent in 1765 after the death of her husband.

In the same year Maria Theresa came to power, Fredrick II of Brandenburg-Prussia initiated the War of Austrian Succession by invading the Hapsburg province of Silesia. Fredrick refused to recognize Maria Theresa as the rightful heir to the throne. He rallied other nations such as Bavaria, Saxony, France, and Spain to side with him and contribute to the conflict. Maria Theresa retaliated by rallying Hungarian arms to her defense. As a result, she was able to repel the invading armies and preserve the Hapsburg state as a major European power. The war officially ended in 1748 with the signing of the Treaty of Aix-la-Chapelle.

Maria Theresa brought about many economic and political changes to her empire. She increased the size of the army by 200 percent and increased taxes in order to guarantee a steady income for the government, and in particular for the military. She centralized the government by combining the Austrian and Bohemian chancellaries, formerly separate, into one administrative office. She also started what became known as the Diplomatic Revolution in 1756 when she created an alliance with France, a former enemy, to serve as a coalition against the newly allied Prussia and Great Britain. Her reforms and political decisions were successful in strengthening the economy and the state in general.

Maria Theresa was also a participant in the Enlightenment. She strongly promoted education and liberal politics. She founded Imperial and Royal Academy of Science and Literature in Brussels and she supported medical research by demanding that the University of Vienna be given money to make the medical faculty more efficient. Some of Maria Theresa's civil reforms included the abolition of witch-burning and torture, getting rid of capital punishment, and making education mandatory.

7. Empress Theodora
born 500 AD?
died 548 AD

Empress Theodora was one of the most influential and powerful women in the Early Middle Ages. She was the wife of Emperor Justinian I and joint ruler of the Byzantine Empire.

Prior to her marriage to Justinian, Theodora had been an actress and she entertained at banquets for nobles. She also became a courtesan to many of the nobles she entertained. She later converted to Monophysite Christianity and gave up her former lifestyle. She married Justinian in either 523 AD or 525 AD and following the death of Emperor Justin I in 527 AD, both Justinian I and Theodora took control of the empire. Many decisions concerning the government were made by Theodora. For example, 532 AD, resentment over high taxes, religious controversy, and political corruption led to the Nika riot in Constantinople. Fearing for his life, Justinian, tried to flee the city. Theodora intervened and was able to convince her husband to stay. With Theodora's support, Justinian was able to successfully crush the revolt.

Theodora participated in making Constantinople one of the world's most sophisticated cities and promoting women's rights. She had bridges, aqueducts, and churches built. One such building, the Hagia Sophia, built between 532 AD and 537 AD, is considered one of the greatest examples of Byzantine architecture. She had laws passed that prohibited forced prostitution and closed brothels. Theodora also gave women more rights in divorce and property ownership. She gave mothers guardianship of their children, instilled a death penalty for rape, and forbade the killing of a wife who committed adultery.

Theodora died from cancer on June 28, 548 AD She and Justinian are both considered saints by the East Orthodox Church.

6. Empress Wu Zetian
born 625 AD died 705 AD

Empress Wu Zetian is considered to be one of the most powerful women in Chinese history. She lived during the Tang Dynasty and was born to a wealthy and noble family. She was also very well educated. When Wu Zetian was 13, she was sent to Emperor Taizong's court to be one of his concubines. After Emperor Taizong's death in 649 AD, Emperor Gaozong came to power and Wu Zetian was sent off to become a Buddhist nun. Empress Wang, Gaozong's wife, had come into a power struggle with one of his favorite concubines, Consort Xiao. In order to distract Gaozong's attention from Consort Xiao, Empress Wang brought Wu Zetian back to the palace to become another concubine to her husband. This plan, however, backfired on Empress Wang. Wu Zetian eventually became one of Gaozong's favorites and the power struggle between the three women: Wu Zetian, Empress Wang, and Consort Xiao intensified.

Empress Wang and Consort Xiao, former rivals, eventually decided to join forces in order to stop Wu Zetian's influence over Gaozong. This plan backfired too because in 654 AD, Wu Zetian gave birth to a daughter and her daughter died shortly after. Gaozong and court officials accused Empress Wang of killing the infant. As a result, Gaozong replaced Wu Zetian as his empress. In 655 AD, both Consort Xiao and former Empress Wang were accused of witchcraft and they were both executed on Empress Wu Zetian's orders.

As empress, Wu Zetian became extremely powerful. Toward the end of Gaozong's life, she was making virtually all of the major decisions that affected the government. Emperor Gaozong eventually died in 683 AD and Wu Zetian became empress dowager. In 690 AD, Wu Zetian crowned herself Emperor of China and she interrupted the Tang Dynasty by creating her own; the Zhou Dynasty. Wu Zetian is the only woman in Chinese history to rule as emperor.

Despite her ruthlessness to gain power and having many noblemen and noblewomen killed or exiled in the process, Wu Zetian accomplished many things when she was in power. She influenced the spread of Buddhism in China and eventually made it the official religion; replacing Taoism. She was also successful in lowering high taxes and increasing agricultural production. The Empress died in 705 AD at the age of 80.

5. Isabella I of Castile
born 1451 died 1504

Isabella I is considered to be one of the most powerful, yet controversial, queens in Spanish history. She is best remembered for sponsoring Christopher Columbus's voyage to the Western Hemisphere, initiating the Spanish Inquisition, and unifying the remaining independent Spanish kingdoms into one nation. Isabella I co-ruled with her husband, Ferdinand of Aragón, from 1474 up until her death in 1504.

Isabella I, like her husband, was a devout Catholic. Despite the fact that Spain had been a religiously diverse society with Catholics, Jews, and Muslims living together for many centuries, Isabella and Ferdinand believed it was their obligation to make Roman Catholicism the dominant religion of Spain. As a result, in 1478, Isabella and Ferdinand initiated the Spanish Inquisition. Thousands of Jews who had in recent times converted to Roman Catholicism were looked upon suspiciously. It is estimated that as many as 2,000 Jews were tortured, killed, or forced to leave the country during the Inquisition. There were possibly as many as 40,000 Jews who chose to be baptized to avoid expulsion or persecution. The remaining Muslim population in Spain was later targeted. Isabella is known in the Catholic Church as "Servant of God Isabella" as she has achieved the first step towards becoming a Saint.

By the time Isabella and Ferdinand had come to power, the Reconquista was coming to an end. Most of Spain, with the exception of the small Muslim kingdoms under the Nasrid Dynasty in Andalusia, had been unified and brought under Catholic control. However, from 1485 to 1492, Isabella and Ferdinand sought to complete the Reconquista process by conquering the remaining Muslim kingdoms and forcing the Muslim population into exile.

Also in 1492, Isabella sponsored Christopher Columbus's voyages to the Western Hemisphere. Columbus's exploration, with Isabella's support, contributed to the foundation of an overseas Spanish Colonial Empire that would bring great wealth and power to Spain overtime. In other words, Isabella I contributed to making Spain a World Power.

4. Elizabeth I of England
born 1533 died 1603

Even though past queens such as Empress Matilda, Lady Jane Grey, and Mary I had all ruled England in their own right, Elizabeth was truly the first crowned queen to successfully rule with absolute power. She never married and has often been referred to as the "Virgin Queen." Elizabeth is best remembered for bringing the Renaissance to England. She is also remembered for defeating the Spanish Armada and establishing Protestantism in England, replacing Roman Catholicism. Elizabeth was the daughter of King Henry VIII and his second wife, Anne Boleyn and she ruled from 1558 until her death in 1603. She was last monarch of the Tudor Dynasty and her reign is known as the "Elizabethan Era."

Elizabeth was a true intellectual and she was educated by renowned scholar, Roger Ascham. As a student, she studied Greek, Latin, rhetoric, and philosophy; she mastered all of these subjects. Not surprisingly, when Elizabeth came to power, she transformed the English court into a center for poets, writers, musicians, and scholars. She had connections to literary figures such as William Shakespeare, Edmund Spenser, and Christopher Marlowe.

Elizabeth also transformed England from a Catholic nation to a Protestant one. Despite her Protestant sympathies, Elizabeth was known to be tolerant of all religions in England. Her reign and religious transformation were highly contested by other Catholic European nations. For years, Elizabeth's cousin, Mary, Queen of Scots, had felt she was the rightful heir to the English throne. Mary had plotted for Elizabeth to be assassinated for years. As a result, Mary lived much of her life in England under house arrest. Finally, however, enough was enough and Mary was executed in 1587.

Mary's execution and England's longtime support for the Protestants in the Spanish Netherlands, was the last straw. In 1588, Elizabeth's former brother-in-law, Phillip II of Spain, sent out his navel fleet, the Spanish Armada, to invade England, dethrone Elizabeth, and reestablish Roman Catholicism as the official religion. Elizabeth, however, proved to be no shrinking violet; she retaliated and won. The defeat of the Armada left Spain bankrupt and Phillip II humiliated. Elizabethan England, however, moved toward prosperity and gradually replaced Spain as a World Power.

3. Empress Dowager Cixi
born 1835 died 1908

Cixi was probably most powerful woman in China since Empress Wu Zetian of the seventh century Zhou Dynasty. In fact, Cixi may have been even more powerful than Wu Zetian. She was an ambitious and conservative leader. She opposed foreign influence and supported the Boxer Rebellion of 1900. Anyway, I place Cixi at third rank on this list. Cixi was a consort of Emperor Xianfeng. After her husband's death, she acted as regent for her son, Emperor Tongzhi, and later for her nephew, Guangxu. Her rule began in 1861 and lasted until her death in 1908. Cixi was the last empress dowager of the ethnic-Manchu Qing Dynasty and the last empress dowager of China.

Cixi was sent to the Forbidden City in 1851 to be a concubine to Emperor Xianfeng. In 1856, Cixi gave birth to her son and the future emperor, Tongzhi. After the birth of her son, Cixi's status was elevated in the royal court and she became a consort. Emperor Xianfeng soon died in 1861 and Tongzhi became emperor with Cixi acting as regent. Cixi, in reality, held the real power because she had total control over state affairs. She surrounded herself with good advisors which also contributed to her success in maintaining power.

Internal chaos and foreign challenges plagued China during Cixi's time. The country was suffering from the aftermath of the Second Opium War as well as the Taiping Rebellion. Cixi appointed General Zeng Guofan to handle the Taiping situation, and as a result, the revolt was successfully crushed. In 1881, she dealt with the concern of too much foreign influence by ending China's so-called "learn from foreigners" program with the West. As a result, she put a halt to sending Chinese children abroad to study and promoted hostility toward the West.

In 1898, Emperor Guangxu, Cixi's nephew, felt China needed cultural, political, and political reform so he initiated what became known as the Hundred Days' Reform. He began turning to the West. Cixi put an end to this by launching a coup and placing Guangxu on house arrest. The resentment toward Western influence continued with the Boxer Rebellion of 1900 in which Western Christian missionaries became targets for attack. The rebellion failed, however, when Western powers intervened and stopped the revolt. Ironically, between 1902 and 1908, Cixi softened her views of the West and began encouraging the modernization of China. I wonder what changed her mind.

2. Catherine II of Russia
born 1729 died 1796

Catherine II, also known as Catherine the Great, I feel, deserves second rank on my list. She ruled over Russia which was and still is the world's largest country geographically. Catherine is remembered for bringing Enlightenment ideas to Russia as well expanding the empire. Her rule lasted or 34 years, beginning in 1762 and ending with her death in 1796.

Catherine was born in modern day Poland to a minor German prince of the Lutheran faith. In 1744, Catherine, already having mastered the Russian language, moved to Russia to marry Peter III who was heir to the Russian throne. She also converted to Russian Orthodoxy in 1744. The marriage took place a year later and overtime it proved not to be a happy one for Catherine. She saw her husband as arrogant and immature and, finally, in 1762, Catherine conspired with the imperial guard to overthrow her husband in a palace coup. As a result, Catherine was declared Empress of Imperial Russia.

As empress, Catherine continued the process of Westernizing Russia like Peter the Great and Tsarina Elizabeth had done before her. She incorporated Enlightenment ideas into her politics, commissioned art, and created a successful foreign policy. She also expanded the Russian Empire to the Black Sea by defeating the Ottoman Empire in two major wars. Catherine's empire spanned over three continents: Europe, Asia, and part of North America. It stretched from the Arctic Ocean to the North, the Black Sea to the South, Alaska and the Pacific to the East, and the Baltic Sea to the West.

Catherine reformed the system by creating a legislative commission in 1767, introducing a system of local self-government in 1775, and issuing the Charter to the Nobility in 1785. However, in 1773, a Cossack named Yemelyan Ivanovich Pugachev, led a rebellion near the Ural Mountains. This rebellion became known as the Pugachev Rebellion and its followers consisted of Cossacks and discontented ethnic minorities such as Bashkirs, Tatars, Kazakhs, and Kalmyks. Pugachev claimed that he was the long-lost Peter III who some people believed escaped from being murdered eleven years before and sought to reclaim the throne. The revolt infuriated Catherine and it contributed to her changes in policies. Catherine crushed the Pugachev revolt as well as other revolts around the country, placed more restrictions on society, and made serfdom even more prevalent than before. In other words, Catherine wasn't about to have her power threatened by anyone or anything.

Ok, ranking number one on my list is Queen Victoria of the United Kingdom. I would strongly consider Victoria being "the" most powerful woman in history because not only was she the queen of the United Kingdom in her own right, she was head of the vast colonial British Empire.

Victoria's empire covered 14.2 million square miles, spanning six continents, and controlling countries such as Australia, Canada, India, New Zealand, Nigeria, South Africa, and Sudan as well as many others. Geographically, the British Empire was the largest colonial empire in the nineteenth century and the largest in history. Victoria ruled over 400 to 458 million people during her reign. Victoria inspired a worldwide trend known as the "Victorian Era." The Victorian Era influenced conservative religious and social attitudes, fashion, and politics in her country as well as in the United States and other nations abroad. Victoria's reign began in 1837 and ended with her death in 1901. She ruled for 63 years; the longest of any British monarch.

Despite having to share her power with the British Parliament, Victoria still exerted a certain amount of power over political decisions. For example, Victoria played a role in appointing some cabinet ministers as well as a prime minister at one time. She was even responsible for appointing particular ambassadors and bishops of the Church of England. She also consulted regularly with her prime ministers by letter and in person.

Victoria contributed to massive political and social reforms in the United Kingdom as well as in the British Empire. She supported an act of Parliament in 1838 which abolished slavery throughout all colonies in the British Empire. In 1847, she supported the Factory Act which reduced the working day in textile mills to ten hours. Last but not least, Victoria supported the Third Reform Act of 1884, which granted the right to vote to all male householders and effectively extended the vote to most British men.

The Rise of Women in Ancient Greece

Michael Scott looks at how a time of crisis in the fourth century BC proved a dynamic moment of change for women in the Greek world.

The sources that survive from ancient Greece are overwhelmingly written by men for men. The surviving physical evidence - temples, buildings and battle memorials - all speak of a man's world. Surviving works of art feature women in various guises, but rarely give an insight into any other kind of world except that in which women were controlled, contained and often exploited. Even ancient Athenian democracy, which the modern world honours, denied women the vote. The place of women in ancient Greece is summed up most acutely by the historian Thucydides writing in the fifth century BC when he comments: 'The greatest glory [for women] is to be least talked about among men, whether in praise or blame.'

Yet in the last 50 years or so a revolution has taken place. Fuelled by the rapid evolution in the roles of women in modern society, historians have taken a fresh look at women in ancient Greece. The result has been a change in the depth and nature of our understanding of them. The range of female influence and experience has slowly been brought to the fore: from the divine power of the female gods to the social and religious power of female priests, from the model women of Homer to the anti-heroines of myth and drama, from women who were the power behind the throne to those who wore the crown themselves, from female-enforced prostitution to female-authored sex manuals and poems of literary genius.

In a single lifetime, between the fall of Athens in 404 BC and the rise of Alexander the Great in the 330s BC, the Greek world was turned on its head. What does the tale of this brutal dawn reveal about the role of women in ancient Greece? The transformations that occurred were motivated in part by the catastrophic effects of the Peloponnesian War, the 30-year conflict which had brought democratic Athens to its knees. In response to the increased poverty that resulted, Greek women began to work outside the home. The orator Demosthenes, writing in the middle of the fourth century, complained that they now worked as nurses, wool-workers and grape-pickers on account of the city's penury. This primarily economic drive was coupled with great political upheaval, an increasingly muddled distinction between public and private worlds and new forms of religious expression. In different parts of ancient Greece women become visible for different reasons. In Athens they appear centre stage in comic discussions of sexual and political equality and in the law courts on issues relating to citizenship. In Sparta, women emerge as landowners and are portrayed in training for motherhood and athletics. Throughout Greece, new forms of expression for women are evident that were energetically taken up in response both directly and inadvertently to the unpredictable world around them.

In 395 BC, just nine years after Athens had suffered catastrophic defeat in war, internal political revolution and the loss of its world empire, the comic playwright Aristophanes wrote and produced a play called Women in the Assembly (Ecclesiazusae). The plot is simple and striking. The women of Athens are fed up with the mess men have made of the city and its affairs. They infiltrate the political assembly and persuade it to hand over all power to the women. Now in control, women set about reforming Athens. Their specific target is the growing disjuncture between the haves and the have-nots. The women institute a radical reform agenda in which everyone is to be made equal in all aspects of their lives (a policy echoed in the works of the philosopher Plato, writing at this time).

Such equality would even apply to the sex lives of Athenian citizens. If a man wanted to go to bed with a good-looking woman, or a woman wanted to sleep with a handsome man, the man would first have to have sex with an ugly woman and the woman with an ugly man - to ensure that everyone got a fair share of the treats. The play ends with the radical reform agenda falling to pieces as even the women balk at having to be so scrupulously fair in their sexual pursuits.

At first sight it is a play written by a man for a mostly male audience. In some ways, too, it only reinforces a traditional stereotype: men may have mucked up the city's affairs, but the women also get it wrong. It would be a mistake therefore to see this play as a radical call for female emancipation. But it does show how women were the chosen voice for a city engaged in painful soul-searching as it attempted to rebuild itself and to negotiate its way in a rapidly changing world. The voice of women in Aristophanes' play may not have revolutionised the political position of women in ancient Athens, but that voice, perhaps better than any other, articulated the problems the city found itself in and the need for radical change.

Exciting Discoveries

But women did not need a man to write their words for them. Some of the most exciting discoveries of this period have been the excavation at Dodona in northern Greece of many small sheets of metal inscribed with questions to the oracle of Zeus, king of the gods. Similarly inscribed 'curse tablets' have been found more widely across Greece, which are a form of written prayer by which individuals could invite the gods to harm their opponents and enemies. The crucial aspect of these rare finds is that some of the oracular questions and curses are written by (and talk about) women. Both reveal not only what advice women were seeking from the gods, but the ways in which they thought about themselves and were perceived in turn by men in the changing world around them. At Dodona one woman asks the oracle 'by sacrificing and prayers to which of the gods would [I] do better and be released from this disease?'

The curses reveal how men treated those women they saw as cunning and a potential threat. One man in Athens curses 'O Hermes Binder and Persephone [Gods of cursing] restrain the body and spirit and tongue and feet and deeds and plans of Myrrine, the wife of Hagnotheos ... until she goes down into Hades and withers away. 'Women themselves were most active in curses concerning sexual relationships. In Macedonia one woman seeks to prevent the sexual union between a man she loves and her rival - the curse tablet prays that the rival may perish wretchedly. Another writes: 'I bind Aristokydes and the women who strip for him. Do not ever let him marry another woman or youth.' These small sheets of metal thus give us an unparalleled window into women's personal lives and motivations and their interactions with men.

One of the effects of the major social instability that characterised the fourth century BC is that women became physically more visible and vocal in death and mourning than ever before. Graves may seem an unlikely place to look for clues about the position of women, but they are one of the archaeologist's best friends in interpreting the past, particularly the tomb markers, or grave 'stele' as they are known. The stele record both who is buried and sometimes their age and epitaph; they are also often elaborately carved and decorated with an image of the deceased and their family. They leave a material record of how the dead were thought of by the living and in some cases of how the dead themselves chose to be remembered.

During the fourth century BC not only do images of deceased women become more elaborate and detailed, but they also receive poetic epitaphs more frequently at their own burials and are much more visible as part of the 'first circle of mourners' at the burials of others. There is a palpable change as women make public their lives, thoughts and emotions and men make public their love for their women. 'Telemachus,' reads a fourth-century burial inscription,' is buried at the right-hand side of his mother, and is not deprived of her love. 'Nor is this change confined only to grave stele. Female poets are also known from this period who wrote public laments for their lost childhood friends.

For all that it attempted to train its men to be single minded in their service of the city (the Spartan wedding night was portrayed as a shameful if necessary event in which a man had to slip away from his male comrades to have sex with his wife and be back before dawn), Sparta also brought its women perhaps more to the fore than any other city in mainland Greece. Spartan women were put through physical training in order to be good mothers (they were known by the other Greeks as 'thigh-showers' because of their revealing sportswear). They could own their own land (as much as 40 per cent of Spartan land in the fourth century BC was owned by women). Sayings of Spartan women were collected that became the essence of the Spartan code of behaviour and ethics. For example, a Spartan women, on hearing her five sons were dead in battle, replied to the messenger: 'Don't tell me about that you idiot, tell me whether our city has won.'

It was also a Spartan woman who broke into the most male of Greek arenas during this period: the Olympic Games. Cynisca, the sister of one of the Spartan kings, entered her own chariot team in 396 and 392 bc. She won both times, becoming the first female to win the Olympic Games (albeit by proxy) in its 400-year history. Pausanias, the ancient traveller and first 'guide book' writer, saw the victory monument erected by Cynisca at Olympia to commemorate her success still standing 500 years later. The monument simply stated:

My fathers and brothers were Spartan kings, I won with a team of fast-footed horses, and put up this monument, I am Cynisca: I say I am the only woman in all Greece to have won this wreath.

After her death, Cynisca would be worshipped as a hero in Sparta: the ultimate female sporting pin-up.

Naming and Shaming

In Athens women had no independent existence in the eyes of the law, despite the fact that Plato had recently in his Laws proposed that women should be given the same education as men, the same access to the law courts, the same rights to own and inherit property, to hold public office, to compete in athletics and to live and work as equals to men. If they did bring a case in the increasingly litigious environment of fourth century Athens, they did so under the auspices of a male guardian who spoke for them. But, equally cases could be brought against them. Often, these were specifically designed to name and shame a particular woman and tarnish her reputation. The orator Demosthenes (384-322 BC) serves as a perfect example. In his speech entitled 'Against Neaera' (which some believe not to be by him but by a later scholar, Apollodorus), Demosthenes sets out to steep Neara, a resident foreigner in Athens, in sexual scandal. Why? Because she had been passed off as an Athenian citizen by her partner, an Athenian called Stephanos, in order for their children to be given full Athenian citizenship. Women carried the key to the continuation of Athens not just because they were the ones giving birth - Athenian law demanded that both parents be Athenian citizens in order for offspring to be granted full citizenship rights. Neaera's reputation is torn to shreds by Demosthenes in the name of protecting Athenian purity and identity.

What voice for women here one might well ask? Demosthenes' bitter condemnation and insistence on the seriousness of the case reveals Athens' most pressing concerns in the later part of the century. As the city faced the possibility of military attack from Macedon and further internal political unrest, the figure of poor Neaera shows all too clearly how seriously the Athenians took the maintenance and security of their citizen body. Not long after this case, Athens would undertake a census of the entire citizen body to weed out such 'illegitimates'. Though they had no direct voice in politics, women were increasingly being held up to public scrutiny as a crucial element in the machinations of the Athenian city state.

Queens of the East

While women were being named and shamed in Athens, winning Olympic victories in Sparta and cursing to their heart's content in mainland Greece, across the Aegean sea, on the coast of Asia Minor (western Turkey), some women were in positions of actual power. At Halicarnassus (now Bodrum) King Mausolos (r. 387-353 BC) ruled with his Queen Artemisia. Decrees from the king and queen often went out as joint statements: 'It seems good to Mausolos and Artemisia that ...'Honours were bestowed on both of them in almost equal measure by other cities. After the king's death, Artemisia ruled alone for several years. She was not the first woman to do so - over a century before, another Queen Artemisia had been the only female commander to help the king of Persia attack Greece and in fact had been the only commander not to disgrace herself in the decisive sea battle of Salamis.

After the death of her husband, Mausolos's widow Artemisia, was consumed with grief. She may even have drunk a potion made up of her husband's bones and ash. In fact, so famously extravagant was her mourning that it became the subject of several poems and comedies in later years. But, despite her grief, she was also extremely active. She held poetry and oratorical competitions in honour of her dead husband, completed the building of his mausoleum at Halicarnassus, which became one of the seven wonders of the ancient world, and fought off an attack from the nearby island of Rhodes whose people, supposedly, were ashamed that a woman was sole ruler of such a city and territory. Artemisia, like her namesake before her, was a paradigm breaker in a world that was being changed beyond recognition.

Western Greece, too, was not without women who played critical roles at key moments of dramatic change. One of my favourite stories is told by Plutarch about an unnamed woman who inadvertently helped to start a rebellion. In the early decades of the fourth century BC, the city of Thebes, in Boeotia in the central region of mainland Greece, was occupied by the bullish Spartans. Pressure was mounting for a rebellion against them. The uprising was organised by a few key Theban figures, some of whom were in exile in Athens.

Plans were laid and timings agreed for the exiles to leave Athens, enter Thebes in disguise and begin the coup. But the day before it was due to take place, a member of the conspiracy in Thebes lost his nerve. He ordered a trusted messenger to ride as fast as he could to Athens to tell the exiles not to return the next day. The messenger returned home to saddle his horse to ride to Athens. But he couldn't find his horse's bridle. It transpired that the previous day his wife, during an ancient version of a 'coffee-morning', had offered it to a neighbour whose own had broken. The messenger was speechless with rage. But what could he do? He could not demand the bridle back or borrow another without arousing suspicion about the urgency of his errand, thus perhaps revealing the entire plot. He decided that the only thing for it was to do nothing and stay at home. The exiles left Athens the following day as originally planned, slipped into Thebes and the rebellion went ahead that night. The Spartans were thrown out of Thebes, which then began its own rapid ascent to domination of Greece, all thanks to an unknown woman who had chosen to do her neighbour a favour.

A mother's influence

It was not only unintentionally that women changed the course of history in mainland Greece during this turbulent period. Wives might murder their husbands, as happened in Thessaly where the wife of the tyrant Alexander of Pherae (r. 369-358 BC) is said to have stood over her bleeding husband's body, encouraging his brothers to stab him as well. But the figure who stands out among all of these is the fourth wife of Philip of Macedon (r.359-336 BC), Olympias (c.370-316 BC). Few people, male or female, contributed as much as she in bringing about the new pattern of kingdoms and monarchical dynasties that emerged in the Greek world towards the end of the fourth century BC. This formidable woman, mother to Alexander the Great (r.336-323 BC), may have had a hand in the murder of her husband, Philip, to ensure her son's succession and she almost certainly murdered one of Philip's other wives and their daughter herself.

Olympias was probably the most powerful female influence in Alexander's life and he stayed in constant contact with her throughout his years on campaign. While he was away from home, she, her daughter Cleopatra and one of Alexander's generals seem to have been de facto rulers of Macedonia. After Alexander's death, Olympias would stop at nothing to protect his infant son, her grandson, in the power vacuum that ensued in the Greek world (during which time another powerful woman, Cynane, was trying to get her own daughter married off to a potential heir to the throne). She tricked, murdered and fought on the open battlefield in the name of her son and grandson. She did not rest until she herself was taken prisoner and executed by her enemies in 316 BC.

Queen bees

It would be misleading to think that by the end of this turbulent period women in ancient Greece were not still primarily tied to managing the home. The historical and social commentator Xenophon regarded women as the 'queen bees' of the household. It would also be wrong to imagine that great female accomplishments, like Cynisca's victory at the Olympics, were not sneered at and derided by men (in Cynisca's case by her own brother). But without doubt a change in the position and role of women was afoot - both in the ways that women were more visible and in the variety and importance of the roles they played within ancient society.

The revolution for women in terms of their position in political, economic and literary circles would only gather speed during the following 'Hellenistic' age. Women would become sellers and purchasers, lessees and lessors of land, bestowers of legacies, borrowers of money and owners of slaves. They would achieve economic independence and enjoy greater relaxation of physical and ideological constraints; they would be subject to increased interest from the developing medical profession (several medical treatises focusing on women survive from the early fourth century onwards) and benefit from a growing call from philosophers for equality between the sexes (the philosopher Epicurus was the first to make his 'school' open to both sexes, at the beginning of the third century BC). They would become captivating central figures in ancient art - the first fully naked female statue of the goddess Aphrodite was created at the very beginning of the Hellenistic age - and, increasingly, rulers in their own right.

Not all boundaries were broken. But it is undeniable that the visibility and role of women during this time of violent change in ancient Greece was in the ascendant. Women had a great deal to do with it.

Personal Energy Shield ~ Practical Psychic Self-Defence

The tables are turning, or are being turned. Mars is direct in motion, it turned yesterday, and this is a very good omen to begin this month with. We have a chance to create some distance from that which has ailed us.

There is a lot of energy percolating through the month of Gemini. It reconfigures and reorders to help us progress. We get unhooked from a couple more planetary retrogrades that have been holding us back. Then we find out where we are holding ourselves back. We have to get the humour in that.

We gravitate towards people of like mindedness to reinforce our personal development. Dietary concerns are likely to reveal themselves. We get to the bottom of assimilation issues, allergies or sensitivities. It feels good to apply some self-discipline. We enjoy positive relationship influences.

We have a benevolent Mercury retrograde this month, should not be as troublesome as it can be. Increased creativity, sensitivity and psychic intuition will make life a transcendental environment. We find creative ways to escape the norm and many of us will experience a calling that comes from within. Issues can get in the way as to whether or not we answer the call, but it is recommended in all cases.

We will enjoy good humour, a philosophical approach and openness to mutual agreement. The global and individual shifts will continue this month but not so profoundly. We harmonise our conflicting beliefs and are magnetically drawn to the answers or healing we need.

Remember to read your Sun sign, Moon sign and Rising Sign forecasts to get a more rounded idea of what to expect in the coming month. The daily calendar will give an idea of what is happening, read a day or two before and after the particular day of interest or as we progress through the month. As usual I will be taking a siesta from the newsletter. It will resume in the fall.

During the summer I will be available for appointments, sessions, consults in person, by phone or email. I will be posting some planetary events to Facebook during the summer too. Be my friend, or like my page and let me know how else we can connect on the technological highway. I've included a link to my newsletter archive page for summer reading.

Keep the ball of prosperity consciousness in the air; it leads to abundance!

null Daily Forecast for the Month of Gemini

20TH The gentle simplicity of Taurus is disrupted as the Sun enters the bundle of restless energy that is Gemini. We are motivated by the urgency to know, to do, to say or to be which stirs up a lot of communication, busyness, visitation and social interaction that engages the mind. The contrariness of Gemini energy is part of its curiosity, scepticism and humour. We entertain a playful attitude with reality. We want to know everything.  While this sign makes us secretive about the personal we love to discover and learn about everyone else's mysteries or intrigue. We are inclined toward behind the scenes antics. This is a good month to lose weight by keeping very busy and active. New friendships can be formed. Love initiated at this time will be based on an intellectual connection, shared ingenuity and a sharp wit.

21ST The First Quarter Moon is shining brightly. We have things to do, ideas to reconsider but we still love the surprising out of the blue occurrences that distract our focus. We can make a lot of money, spend a lot of money or decide to totally remodel our investment portfolio. So much is going on internally that our outer expression almost seems to be on autopilot. We are inside and outside of ourselves at the same time. This is like watching ourselves while simultaneously being aware of ourselves from within. Take care of health issues that have been left unattended.

22ND We will stretch the rules for more autonomous satisfaction. Universal concepts facilitate a reordering of our guidelines. More willing to develop the untried we form different kinds of connections. New rules and innovations in everyday operations evolve into being because the current situation can no longer continue. Relationships or partnerships take on a different configuration, either through a reordering of the old model of long term marriage or creating unique paradigms within new couples. We are free to join together as we will. The idea of security takes on many facets.

Things can cut to our core, to the deepest sense of self, it is best not to take things personal. Feeling diminished, we need too much approval from others which sends off warning signals to the self-image telling it that it needs development. Taking responsibility for ourselves and facing the facts should help us to stand our ground better. If we falter due to emotional disturbance we need to sort this out by taking steps toward becoming our integral self. Envision self-approval. Take the self-made path. Do not follow the illusive dreams of others. Faith and truthfulness will help clarify the path to take.

23RD There are no governors on our appetite, be it for food, sympathy, understanding or self-love. Exaggerated nurturing is aimed inward. We are unable to say no to our needs. They can interfere with our independence. Overindulgences, passionate desires and other magnified neediness is what will manifest. The parent child, grandparent grandchild relationship is in enhanced focus. If there is distance between such people there will be a greater gratification sought. Large or festive meals are scheduled. Children have growth spurts. Ethnic issues are possible. Legalities involving children, medicine or academia can arise. Digestive issues are major disturbances that need to be addressed through a change of diet and supplementation of a probiotic, digestive enzyme and magnesium.

24TH If we are feeling stuck, restricted or rejected we need to look at ourselves as the source of this state not anything or anyone else. Once this is understood, we have the advantage of clarity. We cut our losses, decipher what is needed then are able to concentrate on what will grow and expand. It is easier to shed attachments, hang ups, inappropriate duties and a misplaced sense of responsibility. We put property and possession into perspective with our ability to be able to afford to maintain; upkeep and protect what we have. We are forming better judgement because we can see the mistakes that we never realised were mistakes. Paternal attitudes are good intentions that interfere with other people's lives. Let others learn by dealing with their own problems.

The Balsamic phase of the Moon is seen as the ebbing crescent slimming to dark pitch black night with no moonlight. A time that is brimming with new potentials. This is the time of the month where we receive seed ideas. We can manifest what we envision. It is a time of rest and refurbishment as well. We will exconjugate and recongigate in this phase. We can go from a place of stillness to a new found sense of robustness. We can cut loose and recommit. All of this happening much more on the molecular and esoteric levels than in tangible reality. Our resonance is changing according to who we are, how we think and what we believe. What we will do and what we will not pursue will become clear.

Warmth and intimacy can drain out of entangled relations; it increases emotional distance and we tend to let go. What entangle us are integrity, dilemma, paradox and conundrum. If we are not compatible to the partnering we have in our lives we feel we are out of place. We are growing out of things. It is difficult to process, assimilate and come to terms with this awkward stage of growth. Guilt can interfere with how we want to commit ourselves to a future especially when marriage or children are involved. Our spiritual direction will be very important to us at this time.

26TH  We need people in our life who share like-minded interests. Twitter and other social media outlets are good for connecting with those who think the same. At other times in our evolution it is more important to be with people who have an alternative viewpoint to enrich our own. At this time we are provided with more than enough examples of other people's opposition to our position or deference to their own. So we need the kind of wholeness that is found in sharing subconscious beliefs and being able to trust another person's commitment to those values. We are inspired to develop wholeness within our relationships, with our mate, in our partnerships or in all expressions of our energy. We are developing the ability to grow together by gravitating toward like mindedness. Expansive healing and spiritual development is available. Be personally responsible; make a commitment to this unveiling.

27TH Enough is enough already with Vesta's focusing on our inner core self. She is now turning direct in motion so we can acknowledge the self-development we have underway and get on with doing what we are meant to do. We can work with the energy knowing what is true to the centre of our being. This direct motion helps us to demonstrate our deepest essence of self so people come to know who we really are. Our self-assured spirit is powerfully silent, self-reliant and full of integrity that comes of being true to our values. We have sorted through them too. Over the next few days a growing inner consensus will propel us forward with intention.

28TH This is good. The New Moon actually feels like a new start. We get seriously involved, make a constructive effort, will network ourselves successfully and make progress toward our prosperity activations. Drawn to explore our local terrain we are not as likely to make long distance travel plans. Sure of ourselves but not so sure of everyone else there is a degree of unconscious caution steering us to stay closer to home. Fluctuations occur in the investment and real estate community. Hard work pays off. Fun can be hard work sometimes too. We want to enjoy ourselves, socialise more and let loose so we can be more productive and ambitious where necessary.

Our diets become ultra important. Sensitivities to food cause digestive and allergic issues. It is difficult to suit everyone with meal or gathering scheduling. The differences between family members are much more distinct, they will stand out, therefore can interfere with good relations. Each individual has their own agenda. The person leading the group can use guilt to arrive at consensus. This is of course an oxymoron because we are looking for an atmosphere of non-interference and peace in which to release tension. Our evolution wants to pull us toward deconditioning of our subconscious images, social imprinting and habitual responses. Whether it is diet and digestion, meal scheduling or family relations smooth it out.

Something else can bring us to a halt. Issues with authority, expectation, duty, cooperation and trustworthiness are cold hearted if they arise. Barriers defy us as we struggle against their blockage with great discordant dissatisfaction. It feels like a no-win situation. What is occurring are invisible separations or voids that mysteriously envelope us in their confinement. These are not the walls of our own making, our fortress of protection; they are energy that creates a force field to keep out intruders or deflector shield to repel unwanted objects. The vibrations we resonate with; our "tune" will be the artisan. We have the opportunity to build our own psychic self-defence vortex. If we do not resonate with another's energy field both will feel it. These energy zones are very defining. There are practical reasons for these assignments. Identification may be necessary to provoke awareness for our current stage of belief system transformation.

Venus comes into Taurus quite self-absorbed and indulgent after a tango with retrograde Mars. This is not the attitude to enter this sign with as it can only get worse unless we check ourselves at the cusp. If we feel the need to feel loved we had better lock up our wallet. We are attracted to food and clothing, pampering the body, going to favourite places and creating cosy situations. We want to give ourselves gifts and give others the hugs we need. On the higher side romance contains the worthy traits of trust and loyalty, predictability and dependability. We enjoy aesthetic surroundings, romantic settings, simple and natural outings in nature and opening our hearts. By cultivating patience, simplicity and naturalness we find our new groove.

29TH When Mercury enters Cancer we will experience an increase in psychic dreaming and possibly other metaphysical gifts. Intuition will increase for those who have mental flexibility, we become open and receptive. We blend our intellect with our emotion, imagination and intuition. On the other hand we can think too much about the past or be mindlessly habitual. We are not encouraged to elevate our thinking if it is not already in our consciousness. Fears and suffering plague the retentive mind that cannot forget. The overly emotional will have difficulty looking at things objectively. The emotionally upset person's view is too serious. Employ acceptance and understanding to help make things pass and calm down. The intellectually centred individual has more of an ability to suspend their critical faculties to benefit from understanding underlying emotions.

30TH We are deciding how to channel our procreative energy into activity. Endings point out the difference between truth and judgement. Artistic expression is good therapy. We are turned inward, fostering self-improvement which makes it easy for people with hidden agendas to get us passionately involved in what they care about. Absent-minded identification with what others want will cause us to stray from our own needs. Those who are psychic or intuitive will have greater inner resolution. Everyone else experiences difficulty in the inner split between intellectual and emotional. Conflicts within family and career are particularly difficult. Old parental issues act up as some tend to over-identify. This can put a wedge between family members. Digestion is difficult; assimilation therefore is not available. If intellectually under attack we need to take digestive enzymes to help nourish ourselves.

Discipline is a strength we need to rediscover in our search to discern true value. Solid, consistent, realistic and effective application of ourselves will get us to our goals. Things like guidelines, organisation, method and rules will build confidence. A change of approach works things out. Tough love strengthens family support systems and emotional bonds. We need to be tough with ourselves. Protecting and caring for the ones we love is as important as being protected. There is no room for rejection, sacrifice and abandonment in our methods of nurturing or familial bonding. If we create better environments of inclusivity and acceptance within ourselves others can be infectiously affected.

31ST The concept of relationship expands. If we need to separate we will move on as friends who need to continue their journey. Our growth and personal development will rebirth our sense of optimism. We can also find our faith and belief systems strengthened by our partner and reaffirm our journey together. We need to be jovial and to find a happy middle ground. Our educational interests are uppermost in our mind. This can include travel and mystical experience.

1st The Crescent Moon ushers in the month of June. We are happiest when we are productive and achieving or resting in reclusion. There is some anticipation however it is guarded and reserved not fully demonstrated. We get on with what we have planned and interact with the people we must. In the process of a normal day there will be abnormal connections. We make connections with what is important to our journey and not necessarily of any interest to anyone else. The gems of connectivity we discover are meant for the receiver only.

Over the next few days Ceres will resume direct motion. We are able to give more of ourselves to others. A web of loving life opens the channels between loved ones who resonate with our vibration. We are much more aware of what we do not want; we are less dependent, less attached and less needy. Being in touch with how to love ourselves we are more attentive to the needs of others. We turn to what matters outside of ourselves. Improvement can come to digestion and food issues like allergies and sensitivity.

5TH Energies seem very focused on minute facets of a larger project during the First Quarter Phase. The work we do leads to increased revenues as well as promotion and recognition. There is a tendency to spend money instead of spending time. Keep boosting the immune system as this is the time when we could contract an early season cold. Temperatures fluctuate as the earth warms up. Fluctuations are hard on the body. Shedding warm clothing too soon reduces protection. People will break their appointments or change their minds due to something else that must be deal with. Major breakdowns can affect the local management systems of government, law, health and education. We work things out in our dreams. Pay attention to what is said and done.

7TH Mercury's retrograde will be a maintenance or upgrade period for our habitual patterns. We may confront the things we need to liberate ourselves from in order to build greater stability. Interesting insights and perspectives are signals of our soul, important messages. Both our destructive and productive patterns will reveal themselves. Meditation augments our dimensional understanding and perception of them. Dreams provide rare insights into the inner workings of our mind and life. There can be the usual interruptions, schedule changes, miscommunications and glitches with electronics too.

9TH What happens with the Gibbous Moon stays with the Gibbous Moon. What comes together becomes assimilated like conglomerate rock formed in sedimentary environments or glacial cementation. The boundaries and barriers between people are dissolved or lowered. We are more vulnerable to the influences of others. With our guard being down self-interested people can try to take control. Luckily for us if it is ill directed and ill advised it will not succeed. What is meant to be together will be drawn together but what is not will be wrenched apart.

Neptune is stationing and over the next few days will be turning retrograde. We can access a very laid-back ambient peace deep inside our heart and soul. It is easier to connect with the transcendent side of life. It is either we get in touch with our intuition, spirituality, dreams, faith and fantasy or we try to circumvent life with escape and delusion. Illusions of one kind or another are an escape from reality; denials, fears, hang-ups. The faithful remain fully accepting of every experience to be unfolding in a way that is not bound by limited labels. The artistic expression is sensitive and receptive to inspiration. Inner vision is made more profound. Heightened sensitivity can be an asset and a liability if we go into overload. Avoid addictive personalities, psychic vampires and overwhelming people who drain energy because we are picking up too much from our external environment. There are many physical causes to consider for depression, low body temperature, the thyroid, a past injury affecting the spine and food allergies.

11TH Illusions are a way of escaping reality. We need to double check where our imagination is taking us. At the same time life without limiting labels and more acceptances is attractive. Artistic expression is heightened. We are sensitive, receptive and seeking inspiration. Due to this idealistic idea, foolish beliefs, delusions and other unrealistic states will need to be filtered out of our reality. If we plunge further forward in this way we will find out. We tend to put people on a pedestal and that diminishes our self-image. Optimism is excellent because it can bring opportunity and reasonable chances. The addictive personality, psychic vampire and needy person are energy drains.

12TH A calling can make itself known from deep within ourselves. We are divinely inspired more than is usual and attuned to the needs of the moment. Being in touch with the deepest parts of our heart and soul can awaken our social awareness. Inner vision is inspired. We are driven to participate in and shape our social, political, financial and entertainment worlds. We have the analytical perception that can see the essence of things in their simplest of forms separating them from surrounding complications. A balance of intellect and intuition opens a lot of doorways but we also need to question whether our own beliefs and possible illusions are in the way. The wisdom of discrimination that is available now must not get lost in imagination.

If too many personal issues get in the way they will cause distortion, lack of proportion and confusion. Bound by this web of contortion we procrastinate. We say things too quickly. We are sharp and to the point. There is a misconnection between the mind and the right words. People interpret what we say according to their presets. Conflictive energies jangle but they can be weaved into an artistic creation. Good time for art therapy.

If we are conflicted in our relationships or partnerships it will be hard to avoid trouble. Problems with the urge to cooperate are the likely target. Wherever a situation of domination or subjugation exists there is an even greater clash. Anger, aggression or insensitivity arises in such relationships. Answering the call to stand up to the person can cause them to be abusive and violent. This is alpha energy; we can be triggered into thinking we have something to prove, we can be too wilful or self-centred.

The Full Moon lights up the skies and will not let us hide from our secrets. They are being flushed out so we can get on with the right plan. This can be soul deep too, flushing out past lifetime memories, agreements, guilt contracts or trauma bonds to name a few things. The plug is being pulled from our basin of karma so to drain non-transcendental attachments. We do not have to do anything but let it happen. Another wave of positive change is in the wings waiting for us to clean house of that which gets in our way. Organising the people in our lives is of great importance. Intruding where not invited and not respecting boundaries can be an issue. Children seem to grow up before us.

In order to get unstuck in whatever residual way we find ourselves in; we must remain open because we are probably set in our ways in this regard. Let go of everything, question everything; redefine, restructure, improve rules, guidelines, methodology and organisation. We have to choose between what we believe and what we have been told. Walls keep everything out; we need to check ourselves for such barriers. A change of jobs improves careers. Responsibilities avoided in the past resurface. Healing childhood wounds, letting go of memories and changing old patterns is highlighted now. We can set more meaningful goals.

13TH A philosophical approach, humour and helpfulness go a long way to make things better. We are searching, exploring, turning new soil and dealing with the unfamiliar therefore it is difficult to know we are making the right choice. We are testing every possibility and want to improve so we are more willing to work toward mutual agreement. Nevertheless we have to strike out in a direction that requires freedom and faith. Beware of the con man.

The accumulated affects of our global shifts have the individual confronting challenges that require new choices. We must detach from our obsessive conditional demands; they are not purposeful. Conflicts within social sectors and power struggles within relationship create disturbing emotions like jealousy, suspicion, greed, attachment, hostility, anger, envy, competitiveness, arrogance, resentment, possessiveness and self-pity which lead to further destructive behaviour. Magnetic attraction draws us to a transfiguring process that is destined for us. Introspection, questioning and analysis contribute to a plan of action that will move us forward. We should make an effort to gravitate towards those with whom we share mutual trust. Forgive ourselves and others if they have reached a critical maximum. Transform personal power, attitudes and gender roles in the flow of social reform.

14TH This intense vibrational atmosphere is cleansing, purging and renewing. We have striking dreams, visions, meditations and inspirations. The subconscious is looking for answers. Self-therapeutic analysis grooms our state of empowerment. A highly charged environment is intense and profound. Those who channel the lower vibration involve themselves in ambition, competition, power struggle, conflict, ruthlessness and corruption. In their hands this is dangerous violent energy. Avoid road rage and dangerous neighbourhoods.

If we feel stuck, there is something in it we are meant to work on. Do the work to free things up. There are likely to be obstacles, delays or deadlines that interfere with work, goals or objectives. It is okay, rewrite the script and character assignment along with it. If we did not have a good relationship with our Father there can be issues around self-authority. In claiming our own authority we deal with whatever obstacles get in our way. We may distance ourselves from others or experience indifference from others. Nothing personal; it is part of the physical reaction to the psychological conditions.

Incongruent and contrasting beliefs need to be harmonised within our being. We also need to cultivate more tolerance of other people's beliefs for our continued healing and awakening. People are invested in keeping us the way we are but we must look after our own wholesomeness. It will all work out if we move beyond the status quo. Growth and expansion requires adjustments and revisions.

16TH We have valuable information to share with others during the Disseminating Moon. We can impress and be impressed but we are unsure and tentative in the process. It is possible that we find it necessary to separate ourselves from certain others. Things are revealed and cannot be mended. People who resonate with our vibration will be drawn to us to fill up the void. There are an abundance of details that come to our attention. Money issues need to be attended to.

17TH Mercury retrogrades back into Gemini. After the other retrogrades we experienced this year Mercury's retrograde will only a minor kafuffle. Quickening the mind's versatility we will be filled with personally relevant ideas, however, it can be scattering. We are formulating inner realisations broadly and shallowly but we can lose cohesiveness. This is not focused energy, it is diversified and busy. We dance to an inner liveliness that makes us playful. Mental power can be directed successfully toward objectives simultaneous to other things. The urge is to write, go on a short trip or take a course.

Juno enters Gemini at the opposite end to Mercury, one on each cusp they are bookends to the Sun. Clever trickster influences stimulate relationship agreements, arrangements or situations. Random novelties spring to mind. We can spice up our marriage or partnership talking about them. Some ideas about relationship can be disconnected, contrary or odd. Not all ideas are worth pursuing. Multiple partners, outside relationships or romantic triangles are the product of Gemini thinking. We get busy with each other, connecting actively feeling stimulated by sharing with our mate. We catch up on each other's news, gossip, and chores. Many hands make light the work. Outside the inner circle we need to be leery of deceit. In pursuit of their objectives some people can spin quite a story.

19TH The unusual disrupts the flow of relations. Some idea that is too far out causes a rupture. Unexpected events burst through our expectations. Agreement, contract, commitment, rule or role experiences a sudden departure. The unusual enters into the normal and disrupts the flow. People claim their individual freedom. We experiment to adjust conditions to make them more interesting.

As the month comes to a close the Last Quarter Moon gives us the needed motivation to complete what we have started. We can expand our love contracts to embrace both people's needs and objectives. Financial prospects are beginning to look brighter. We can get on with valuable work. If networking will help the cause this is a good time to make connections. For those that feel invisible to their partners this can be a time of considerable healing. It calls upon our inner strength and self-authority. Some can be adversely affected by what others think and for them I say turn to what you think and reconfigure your thoughts around that. Other people's opinions are too subjective and may not be relevant.

20TH We enter a phase of prophecy and healing as Chiron stations readying to turn retrograde. We magnetically attract the guidance we need. Our spirit gently talks to us from within. It is possible to transform blocked energy and the darkest parts of our being. Flashbacks revisit old wounds. New experiences can duplicate the event. To enter into the transformational shift we need to release and flow; move forward with greater wisdom. Past life patterns are unravelled, present life tangles too. What happens now is leading us to wholeness.

21ST The Sun enters Cancer; Happy Summer Solstice; Happy Birthday to all Cancerians. This is a year of breakthroughs and progress for those born in Cancer. There are travels and time well spent. Promote yourself or what you believe in. Friends bring a fresh perspective. Be creative but do something with your creations; like sell them.

Gemini Monthly Forecast
Gemini

The Sun is in your sign, Happy Birthday to all Gemini's. It is a year rich with relationship and increase in finances or material possessions. This year you need to pay attention to what is happening behind closed doors, in secret chambers or behind your back to dispel betrayal because communications are masked with illusionary suggestion rather than truth. The rules are stretched for more autonomous satisfaction. The truth when you do find out can rip to the core of your deepest self. Do not make it your job to acquire sympathy, to seek understanding rather than trying to understand. It is also a mistake to get caught up in self-love. It is too easy to fall into the trap of feeling stuck, restricted or rejected. You will alienate relations, create emotional distance and inject instability into complacency. It only escalates things to have people who agree with your misled subjectivity. With Vesta turning direct you will be able to pull up, out of this nose dive of self-centredness. Become aware of how you feed yourself, what thoughts you feed to your brain, cultivate non toxic thoughts. If you go too far out on a limb something outside yourself will bring it to a halt. Venus slips into Taurus and that will sweeten your consciousness. Relations will improve as will finances. Mercury leaves Gemini for Cancer which can cause some melancholy wobbles and nostalgic flashbacks. It is not the source of the intellectual attacks you may experience. Family and career are difficult, some over-identify with old parental issues. Channel procreative energy to diffuse the situation and apply self-discipline and tough love so you can part from each other's company as friends, without an agenda. Ceres in direct motion opens the channels of care giving and loving. Mercury's retrograde is very liberating, interesting and a rare opportunity to see yourself coming and going or from all sides. Neptune's retrograde is not remarkable on a personal level but it may infuse your business or work life with more of what you wish for. You can be on call for the creative side of your skills. Someone you know is chasing illusions that help them to escape reality and they want you to go along with them. Ideals can work the same way. You will know from deep within yourself who this will apply to. It is not a suspicion to spread around generally. Personal issues can get in the way of work which is something you cannot afford to allow. Over the top reactions like anger, aggression or insensitivity are emotional reactions. Let those things drain away. Be open, unattached and remain loose. Attempts to manage, manipulate or dictate to this energy articulates the wrong details. A philosophical approach will bring improvement in good humour and increased revenue or gifts. Conditional demands made by yourself or made of you by others are inappropriate and out of place in this atmosphere of reformational shift. Follow your karma not someone else. The devil that owns a part of your soul, or people who can sway you from yourself, are operating from the lower vibration. This time should be cleansing, purging and renewing. It is okay to rewrite the script and your character assignment along with it. You meet new friends through your job or business and group involvements. It is possible to get caught up on contrasting beliefs and feel in a muddle about them as you creatively work them through to resolution. Mercury comes back to Gemini, in retrograde motion. But its quick step enlivens your playfulness as well as lines your pocket book. Good money comes of past efforts. Juno enters Gemini and puts the spotlight on partnering, sharing and catching up on things. Ideas can get too far out on a limb and with sudden disruptful and unexpected results. As Chiron retrogrades you become magnetically attractive; you draw to you what will heal you, what you need and what resonates with you. Behavioural or past life patterns and present life tangles are unravelled releasing more wholeness. The Sun enters Cancer, Happy Summer Solstice, may the Force be with you. You feel good and look good too, power on!

Cancer Monthly Forecast
Cancer

When the Sun is in Gemini it is on the doorstep to your birthday. You are approaching this birthday with mixed feelings. Celebrations look successful, you worry for nothing. Back in the present you will stretch your rules for a good reason and because of extenuating circumstances. There is no problem standing up and taking responsibility for your decision; follow the self-made path. Friends, work mates or class mates come to you for love, understanding and sympathy. Make positive judgements by removing your image of correctness from your perception of other people's lives. Relations can be cut off or at a distance otherwise cool and non-committal. You will connect with people who have like-minded interests with your job, career or business which will add to your success. Vesta stationing direct is solidifying; you feel well grounded and self-assured. Mixing too many types of foods together in your digestive system can cause wind issues especially if you are creative with spicy foods. There is great momentum you would like to bring to a halt or at least slow down. You know when you are not resonating with another person which is very defining. Venus in Taurus casts a positive vibration toward you. Plan or prepare for a vacation; explore and be curious. This is feel good energy. Mercury in Cancer increases communication between family members and also playmates of all kinds. There is fun to be had. Things that are temporary can come to an end. This leaves you open to absent-minded identification out of the need to create a new start. Be intentional; muster the strength of solid discipline. Be tough with yourself. Relationships of many descriptions are given a boost of positive interaction. Whether it is work, home or play you are strengthened by your journey with others. Ceres in direct motion can be trusted to lead you to an opening up of love or recognition. Mercury's retrograde brushes very shallowly in the sign Cancer. You can take something very personal although it was not intended. Do not be too quick to blurt out your feelings. Neptune retrograde asks that you be fully accepting, laid-back and faithful. Many things help us escape reality; illusions, imagination, artistic expression, diversion, procrastination; but what interferes with reality is what you must guard against and that is fear, pessimism, jealousy, suspicion and the like. You are called to action and will take on much more than one person's portion. Get personal issues out of the way so you can enjoy other people. Ironing out issues between you and others or between you and the government brings the ire out in you. There is nothing to prove. You can be set in your ways. Things can be remedied. Humour and a philosophical approach will be your best allies. Huge shifts have been occurring in people's lives but you seem to be the care giving and watcher so your shifts are within. There is a shock wave of intensity that is going to affect those around you; you are first responder to their needs. Take some time out to restore and refurbish you at regular intervals. You are stuck with the way things are for now. A clash of beliefs or ideas can fragment negotiations between people; we are meant to grow away from not attach to. Mercury retrograding back into Gemini can stimulate some pleasant memories, lots of them. Many will be about the trips you have made. Juno enters Gemini at the front end so you need to be careful of being a stickler for the way things should be. That makes everyone jump to only your tune. Family relations can be disrupted due to an idea that is too far out.  Chiron stationing retrograde will offer you a chance to explore the options, alternatives and possibilities so people can come together in their own way. The Sun enters Cancer, Happy Summer Solstice, and Happy Birthday to all Cancerians. May you be blessed with a truly wonderful new year ahead of you.

Leo Monthly Forecast
Leo

As the Sun enters Gemini you are in good spirits. You are creating positive vibrations. You stretch the rules of your spiritual beliefs integrating more universal concepts. It is intriguing how signals you receive from others or things that are said touch your core. This is a very personal process for internal growth; nothing is shared, it just occurs. You will find it difficult to say no to what your spirit needs. Decipher why you feel rejected or held back, perhaps stuck; there is momentum available. Take the first step toward it. Getting away from it all and maybe everyone by yourself is a journey you are willing to take. You will meet people of like interest, shared values and you are inspired to develop wholeness within this like-mindedness. With Vesta resuming direct motion you can express your devotion to others. Longer daylight hours mean you are eating later at night, closer to bedtime. This has resultant consequences like bad dreams, sleeplessness or weight gain. Authority gets in your way about something you need to deal with. You enjoy good relations and challenging debates while Venus is in Taurus. Soothing soul rhythms come from Mercury in Cancer. Old memories and new travels with children are in store. Your health gets a little pernickety. It appears you are experiencing food sensitivities or allergies. Digestion is interfered with; take digestive enzymes {natural factors}. Discipline comes in handy. Tough love strengthens support systems and emotional bonds. Be tough with yourself. Your growth takes you into a larger circle of people. This expansion tends to bring more separation or growing apart. You pick new people up along your journey. Taking care of you takes on new meaning when Ceres resumes direct motion. Enjoy the upgrade inside and out. Time spent with family builds productive patterns and greater stability while Mercury is retrograde. It is best if you do not deny your fears. Dissecting them helps you to transcend their affect. Double check to see what is imagination, what is too idealistic and out of what is left decide which are unrealistic. Recognise which energy drains spin your wheels. Have clarity so you can answer a call that comes from deep within. Clear the deck of personal issues, they disconnect you and get you jangled. Conflicts within relationship can be worked out; mute alpha energy through meditation. Explore the deep childhood wound or memories that resurface; these patterns need to be re-written. You realise you cannot let them be etched in your soul forever. Dark moments lead you to good philosophy, helpful humour, freedom, faith and mutual agreement. You and most every conscious human being are making dramatic shifts. You will be compelled to drink in the accumulated affects of these shifts on our global reality. While a lot of what you are up to is profound and high spirited there is a simultaneous cleansing, purging and renewing that is ongoing. If you feel stuck about financial matters in any big or small way you need to work on these interferences. Make room for what you never wanted to know. Follow your dreams.

Then you come to understand how different ideas you have about yourself are not in consensual agreement as Mercury retrogrades back into Gemini. Too many people want things their own way within the confines of a single space like home or work, or within a project or plan while Juno is in Gemini. Far-out ideas, revolutionary, contrary or the supercalifragilisticexpialidocious ones all burst into the flow of relations. You wonder where things come from sometimes but it keeps relations interesting. Now you are ready to deal with the darker parts of life and your being. You will transform blocked energy and experience flashbacks of old wounds while Chiron is retrograde. Happy Summer Solstice, the Sun enters Cancer. Enjoy the brief window of full-fledged summer. There is a possibility you may spend it in the house. Change that picture.

Libra Monthly Forecast
Libra

It is beginning to feel a lot like summer, everywhere you go, as the Sun slips into Gemini reminding you of the few short months ahead of longer daylight and warm weather. You get busy, get social and have a plan to make the most of it. You are willing to stretch the rules and spend if you have to in the name of satisfaction. Whatever exists at the core of your being is what you must act on, or make right, fuel, feed and nurture. This is an alpha mode self-propulsion. You can give yourself too much sympathy, understanding and self-love but this exaggerated nurturing is overindulgence.  Lock up the bank book and credit cards. In such a promising atmosphere with prosperity consciousness growing stronger it would be a shame to put yourself in the binders of misjudgement, mistake and inappropriate financial outlay. If friends seem distant and cool, it is not you that is causing it. Everyone has some sort of process going on. People of like-mindedness, shared interests and similar values bring a kind of wholeness with them. The second to last leash is let go, you are free to demonstrate what is true or of interest to you as Vesta resumes direct motion. Spend your good money on whole organic foods and a better diet. You are building your own psychic defence deflector shield to protect your personal vortex. Those who resonate with you come out of the woodwork, clamouring for a place on your social stage of friends and fun while Venus is in Taurus. Those you do not want are deflected. Good communication is spawned by good relations while Mercury is in Cancer. Channel your relational energy into your relationships but do not be swayed by others to stray from your own needs. Discipline is a strength you will rediscover. It protects and cares for you when you apply it. Guidelines, organisation, method and rules will build confidence. Relationships grow and expand business partnerships too. There will be financial rewards or returns on investments. The last leash is taken off of you; you are free to act without limitation now that Ceres is direct in motion. This does not apply to retail therapy. Go out and play, have fun, enjoy unusual activities with friends and be yourself fully while Mercury is retrograde. You will see yourself more clearly. Discover your latent talents; try your hand at something creative while Neptune is retrograde. You will have plenty of adventurous escapes, social escapades and summertime activities to enjoy. You are stimulated to do more. It would be appropriate to pick up something you meant to do many long years ago, or even in childhood. It will call to you. Petty trivial nuisance issues created by a subjective tantrum will spoil what could be good times. If there are any conflicts in your relations you will be sure to push those buttons to put them on the table to be discussed. If you feel stuck in any way whatsoever you need to resource it back to the self and its patterns that need renovation. Develop your humour, philosophy and helpfulness to reach new levels. Everything is changing, the accumulation of global and personal shifts means normal everyday transactions can take on a new interface. The new does not always agree with you. Not being able to follow the old routine can enrage you. Do not take your rage to the road or get blindsided by the road rage of others. Detach, let go, get unstuck from old scripts and the part you were cast. Pool together all the beliefs, philosophies, ideas and knowledge that mean the most to you and cultivate a harmonised amalgamation of your wisdom. You have the capacity to take large volumes of information and cross-reference their correlations while Mercury retrogrades back into Gemini. Gathering a strong coherent sense of self allows you to stand against the influence of others now that Juno is in Gemini. Near the end of the month something unusual is going to happen and it will come out of the blue. The normal is disrupted by the unusual. Pulling the missing pieces together comes with magnetic ease and guidance while Chiron is retrograde. Happy Summer Solstice, have a wonderful summer. You are ready to play and party.

Scorpio Monthly Forecast
Scorpio

You might want some peace and quiet but you are roused to action to take care of your responsibilities when the Sun enters Gemini. The pressure on you commands that you form different kinds of connections and organise new operations as the old model is clearly not working. How you connect with people and the old standard model of everyday operating methods need a different approach. You have got to be flexible with the rules and guidelines in order to evolve and stretch them into a winning coordination. This cuts you to the core of your value system as it is possible you are following a family legacy on the paternal side. It is now time for the student to become the master. You must leave the nest of comfort and familiarity of the old in order to fly free into the modern flow of new paradigms. You get in your way because it is very hard for you to let go of duty to the father. It is such a compulsion to withdraw, retreat, go into seclusion instead you are robotic. People who think like you, have the same interests, and are in the same social class, will give the best advice. Your focus is directed toward financial management and you are preparing to draw up new binding contracts to replace the redundant old format when Vesta turns direct. Diet is important. Eating when calm and relaxed too. What you feed your mind is equally at issue. Even if you are going full tilt, full speed ahead, something can bring you to a complete standstill. There continues to be deconditioning involved. You feel alone and solely responsible for all that is on your plate when Venus enters Taurus. Emotions and fears can swallow you up if you do not apply discipline when Mercury is in Cancer. Keep your head out of the negative, pessimistic and dark side; be procreative. Discipline will help you get through just about anything including lockdown mode. Personal or love relationship continues to grow, heal and renew hope. It is the salve that soothes you. You will be feeling more charitable towards others, even those who have offended you as soon as Ceres goes direct. There are so many details involved in the responsibilities you are handling it will be difficult to keep them all straight when Mercury goes retrograde. Keep on top of the financial end of all that matters because someone could try to delude you. You would love to escape, withdraw from it all as if it were a bad dream. In the midst of the moment there will be a reckoning, a wisdom that is attuned to the needs of the moment and calls to you. Only your personal issues and allegiances can get in the way. If there are unreconciled differences in your relationship or partnership things can get distorted. Wherever you are set in your ways, tarred to the paternal brush, or a closed shop to organisation, guideline, rule and methodology you will feel stuck. Good philosophy and support from those who care will carry you through. There will be  connections with people and what you need magnetically drawn to you to help. Operating in the world requires new ways and systems because of all that has changed. You require an upgrade of your operating system. Like Windows XP you will not work in the new world even if you can carry on regardless in your personal sphere. Purging, cleansing, renewing are expected. How have you got yourself stuck? What part does Dad play in this? Ideas and beliefs jumble around like scrambled eggs. The contrary, incongruent and contrasting will need to be weaved together harmoniously. The old, tried and true has had a long run but you will be putting on new hats when Mercury retrogrades back into Gemini. A huge change comes to anything you agree to with other people, like contracts. There is more definition and detail to consider when Juno enters Gemini. Something unusual is first going to scare you and then as you calm down it will bring you a freer perspective, more possibilities and opportunities. Magnetic attraction becomes very strong when Chiron turns retrograde. It will bring what you need, it will heal old wounds, it will transform blocked energy and you will enter a trough of release and flow that unravels life's tangles. Happy Summer Solstice, the Sun enters Cancer and signals a time for summer relaxations but you have too much you want to do.

Sagittarius Monthly Forecast
Sagittarius

You are feeling vigorous and in command as the Sun enters Gemini, the sign that is directly opposite to you. It is justifiable to stretch your habitual routines, regimes or rules to allow for the serendipitous. Other people's opinions affect you deeply, enough to cause you to constructively question yourself. Self-gratification comes at a cost. You grow out of an old pattern. Seeing mistakes you never realised were mistakes helps you to form better judgement. With greater clarity you grow and expand in confidence. Stepping back with certain people is just as important as stepping forward for yourself. You gravitate toward people who agree with you, sharing like-minded interests lends itself to greater trust and wholeness because you can grow together. Reaching the limit of how much work you can do on yourself opens the doors to adventure, excitement, exploration and more curiosity. Digestive issues turn your attention to diet, food sensitivity, allergic response and meal planning. Deflector shields are up on your psychic self-defence vortex, you can bring things to a halt if they are not what you hold true. This is especially true of financial risks with Venus in Taurus; you will lock up your wallet with something you cannot trust. You have good self control and discipline and intuition is strong while Mercury is in Cancer. Moving too fast to be caught up in anyone else's agendas you channel your procreative energy into immense activity and having fun. You have a lot of discipline when it comes to getting what you and your loved ones want. Family, close friends and work relations flourish. With Ceres direct and the caring heart wide open you want to give more of yourself to others. You find out something you did not know about someone you thought you knew everything about when Mercury is retrograde. Peaceful contentment descends over you and your family; you enjoy work more and feel laid-back with Neptune turning retrograde. Your imagination can carry you away beyond a vacation-type escape but expect to get plunged back at a beck and call. Someone or something takes you from your reverie. Personal conflicts and issues make for confusion and misunderstandings. Conflicted relations are set off by a mere suggestion. It makes you aware of where you are set in your ways which is helpful. Humour and agreeableness makes things better. Everybody has been affected in one way or another by the larger global shifts and it has you wondering about what your children will inherit. Each generation is built differently to handle the evolution. Steer around the ugly emotions and attitudes in the people you meet in the marketplace of life. A little distance and an uncluttered mind can free things up for you. If anything triggers your contradictory self you will be your own obstacle. Harmonise incongruent and contrasting ideas. You will learn something about others you did not know and divulge secrets you have kept while Mercury is retrograde. Your side of the story will represent who you are, what you think and the judgement you form while Juno is in Gemini. By stretching your tolerance and being flexible with your conditional expectations you can be more objective. Health issues that seem to repeat themselves can arise during Chiron's retrograde. Happy Summer Solstice, the Sun enters Cancer announcing the beginning of summertime fun. You are happy to form a relationship with all that our sunny warm weather will bring.

Capricorn Monthly Forecast
Capricorn

The weeds have already got you busy in your garden and it is not even summer yet. The Sun enters Gemini and there are two things on your mind, travel and finances. There are positive vibes for both. You are not known for breaking rules but you can be creative and at this time you will stretch your own rules into a new and different shape. This comes from your most inner core self because of what you now know and enjoy. No governors on the appetite could be dangerous if attending many large or festive meals. There will be a mindset that you cannot budge even though you want to. You will look at it from many points of view to find a way to broaden this belief in your consciousness. If you feel others are withdrawing you may become suspicious and curious as to why. It is likely to be a personal conundrum. You enjoy good times with people who share like-minded interests and like connecting with those who think the same. A burden is lifted, a need to focus on only certain things has run its term and you are freer to enjoy now that Vesta is direct. Warmer weather brings many more food centred activities so a few things are possible. Weight gain is the first obvious concern but so are digestive complaints, food sensitivities or allergic reactions. Something beyond your control can stop you in your tracks. This can be in day to day affairs, on the road or perhaps highway and detours are to be expected. Good news travels quickly, you hear from people at a distance while Venus is in Taurus. Friends come back into your life, even childhood chums with Mercury in Cancer. Co-creativity channels procreative energy into an outstanding format. Disciplined cooperation and clear communication provides an accelerated experience that propels you toward enjoyment. Your friendship, acquaintanceship, co-worker or team player circles grow. The desire to give more of yourself to your family is a natural reaction to Ceres turning direct. There will be a few things to puzzle out, mysteries to solve or things to get to the bottom of while Mercury is retrograde. Peaceful co-existence, ambient relations and relaxing times come with Neptune retrograde. Your talents come to the forefront, artistic expression is inspired. Perhaps it will come through a friend or close relative but someone acts as a catalyst giving you an idea that calls to you. Do not let personal complications, distortion or issue get in the way. People who normally create conflicted moments will likely be trouble.  You are not stuck anywhere; you choose freely. Good humour, the ability to laugh at life and an equally broad based philosophy keeps you moving forward. You stand in awe of the many incidents that have been affecting people globally. Each detail has etched itself on your consciousness in a support minded desire to help. You feel the need to boost your health and take steps to eat, sleep, exercise and think in a healthy way. Divergent ideas converge and you need to harmonise them, cultivate them or integrate them into your wholesomeness. Your mind is made more curious, it wants to penetrate the surface of most subjects and perhaps it wanders into genealogy while Mercury is in Gemini. Researching as much information as you can about family, ancestors and their records will come natural with Juno in Gemini. You will discover unusual, novel and unexpected information. Instinctively you gain an insight into the possible outcome that certain people could experience if they continue on their current track. You receive inner guidance to keep yourself on the path of purposeful intention. The Sun enters the sign opposite to you, Cancer, it is the Summer Solstice. Have a happy, healthy and memorable summer.

Aquarius Monthly Forecast
Aquarius

Your to do list seems to be swelling, growing, becoming fearsome as the Sun enters Gemini. Not to worry, your social events and travels will be highly pleasurable as well as educational. You break simple rules, creating multiple-choice instead of either or which adds to the inclusivity of others. Nothing of any core value will be touched. Your sympathy and empathy for others will become greater. You have an exaggerated appetite not only for food but for information, details to be specific. Other people might feel you are getting stuck on a subject if you pursue it without restraint.  You are growing out of some activities and wanting to replace them with something new. You turn to people who have similar interests and are like-minded to see what they have to share. Very quickly your serious focus can turn to fun and laughter, lucky charm and successful interaction. Surprisingly you experience some difficulty with certain foods; perhaps foods foreign to your normal fare. Someone in the family decides to put a stop or bring an end to something traditional or something you do often. It is hard for you to understand their stubbornness. It is possible to bang heads with people when Venus is in Taurus. Exceedingly enjoyable and passive activities, communications and involvements with people occur with Mercury in Cancer. You will put your procreative energy into your own development. Consciousness raising prolific dreams will accompany increased vision and gifted artistry. Discipline is an old reliable tool that will help you get a leg up on what you want to accomplish. Expand on your network of contacts, improve personal relations and mend fences. You have more to give to others now that Ceres is going direct. There are many issues, incomplete jobs and good leads to follow up with in your work as Mercury goes retrograde. You feel good about yourself, in fine fiddle and not bound by limiting labels, denials, fears or hang-ups while Neptune is retrograde. You find many ways to escape everyday reality. They are healthy, not harmful and lots of fun. You are content with doing these occasionally, when you can, but you can be called by temptation and desire which is harder to ration. Personal life can get in the way of practicalities. You will find out if there are any issues, conflicts or jagged edges to your relationships or partnerships. It is wise to check out the self to see what contributions you are making before analysing another's culpability. Good humour goes a long way, flexibility and universal acceptance makes things easier. So many people in your life have been unscathed by all the global violence, earth changes, climate issues and other shifts it is good to be thankful. The environment and atmosphere are intense, highly charged and in a state of chaos but you are blessed for the most part. Intolerance to others can keep you stuck, unable to move ahead or in a negative spiral with people. Too many diversified ideas are descending on you at once, it is a bit confusing and ill fitting but there is a wholesome purpose to the process. You meet friends, old and new, in unexpected places while Mercury retrogrades into Gemini. It is difficult to give your work all your focus when there are so many distractions with Juno in Gemini too. The unusual, unexpected and out of the blue will disrupt the flow. You are a magnet attracting what you need, what will make you whole, what you are missing. While Chiron retrogrades you will transform dark energy or energy blocks so you can release and flow. The Sun enters Cancer, it is official, Happy Summer Solstice, may the force of summer be with you. It looks like a good one.

Pisces Monthly Forecast
Pisces

You are not too sure of how much you want to engage in outdoor activities right now, it seems so cosy, warm and healing to be comfortable while the Sun is in Gemini. It is necessary but also agreeable to bend the rules to accommodate what needs be. Self-analysis cuts too deep; you are questioning the deepest core sense of self. If you are looking for sympathy the exaggeration of your sense of need will repel people from giving you what you want. If you are feeling rejected, look at what you can change in yourself. If you are feeling restricted, ask yourself why you are imposing this on yourself. At the same time people are withdrawing for their own reasons; do not bear the guilt of this. Seek out people of like-mind, share with those who have similar interests and find a meeting place with everyone else. Maybe you can stop picking on yourself, and others, when Vesta turns direct and your focus is not so microscopic. It is good to mix up the people you have in your normal diet of friends. If something insults your intelligence and integrity you will bring things to a complete halt. You have a long memory and may be picking up some stubbornness from Venus in Taurus. You know what you want and need but shroud yourself with doubt as to your ability to have it while Mercury is in Cancer.  It is important to channel your energy with procreativity, free of moral conflict, negative agenda or over-identification with one or the other of your parents. Discipline is weak, feistiness is strong and you feel you would like others to give you a helping hand but it does not come. You need to expand your concepts of human relations, find a happy middle ground and reaffirm mutual agreements where they exist. You can stop babying yourself now, the state of things is turning a corner and vibrations are improving as Ceres turns direct. Your feelings are steadied by rational understandings as Mercury turns retrograde. You intuitively understand other people better, you are more peaceful and placid and you are less self-absorbed with Neptune in retrograde. You will enjoy a good fantasy whether it is a book or a movie, it will grasp your imagination. You will feel called to do something, take responsibility or change your career. Personal issues interfere with seeing things positively. Relationships that are usually conflicted will make worries for you. Take a different position with these things, value yourself and tend to your own needs so you do not sacrifice yourself.  Good humour, a light hearted approach and easy going attitudes will help you to get what you want or get to where you want to be as well as make the connections that will help. There will be a clash but you have control and responsibility and need to make autocratic decisions. If you get stuck on old habit patterns you are sunk, you need to break free. Divergent thoughts converge and need to be harmonised especially when it comes to finances. Light hearted, frivolous and interesting activities fill your schedule when Mercury retrogrades back into Gemini. Contrary demands can be made of you while Juno is in Gemini; do not let them pull your puppet strings. You will have some unexpected excitement. You will not be ready for it as it comes out of the blue and you are not alert. Take the time you need to heal, restore, fix and refuel yourself whenever you need it while Chiron is retrograde. Happy Summer Solstice, the Sun enters Cancer and signals the beginning of our sunny and warm season. Do not fret it is not all work, there is some play.

Aries Monthly Forecast
Aries

The spring equinox was just around the corner, my how time is flying as the Sun enters Gemini. You never know what to expect out of yourself as you are constantly changing and transforming into the new you. Friends help and hinder this process. You are stretching the rules, erasing some taboos, rearranging your interpretation of what you were taught and coming up with new evaluations.  Relationships will definitely change as you do; you are getting to the core of your being and rearranging your molecules to be a more harmonious expression of your true self. It is a scary business this metamorphosis and there is a definite neediness created by the transfiguration process. Get rolling, dive in, enjoy the ride and cut loose from those subjective restrictions. You will warm to those that are compatible and feel the cooling between you and those who are not. It is reinforcing to be in the company of people who think like you, share your interests and have a similar background. This companionship helps you to get outside of yourself, focusing on the self has become microscope but will turn into interest in others as Vesta turns direct. You will know if you eat something that is not easily digested, assimilated, or your body does not like because you will have an immediate reaction in the stomach or bowel. A sudden bout of ill health can stop you in your tracks but it is over as quickly as it appears. You form a relationship with the foods that are not good for you or that do not resonate with your blood type while Venus is in Taurus. Picking up tips from the people around you there are many changes you will make to your personality and manner of approaching other people while Mercury is in Cancer. You are much more procreative than you might ever have been, there is no room for the negative, and it is what it is. You are forming a new relationship to the idea of discipline and how it can help you get to where you want to be and where you were meant to go. Your circle of relationship expands and grows even as it loses members to the occasional out of the blue reason. You need to take care of any pessimism as it begins to form and harbour optimistic thoughts now that Ceres is direct. Reviewing the gains and losses in your network circle, friend circle, groups and any and all connections during Mercury retrograde puts your house in order. Your imagination is conceptual, gifted, resourceful and inventive while Neptune is retrograde. You create visions that escape reality and capture possibilities and potentials. Called to learn and grow within your work and career you will follow that path and create a stable foundational basis for future growth. Personal issues can get in the way; nuisance thoughts and distorted reactions jangle and conflict if you let them. Relationships hiding in the cracks are ones that contain elements of conflict, power struggle, wilful or subjective assertion and troublesome domination. They will be flushed out. It is up to you whether you get unstuck or keep yourself stuck, this is an opportunity. Keep your inner humour, even if you cannot speak it, think it. Good philosophies will keep you calm and peaceful in the face of chaos or resistance and rebellion. Global shifts have to be considered in your work, you need to keep up with the time we live in which is a tall order in this technologically advanced world. Anger can manifest, in others, in you, in any gathering or through your work. Whatever hangs you up, rewrite the script, get out of the vice grip, mix it up and change. The incongruent within you will manifest. Whatever contrasting ideas you have, they will present themselves. It is a process of achieving wholesomeness that requires adjustment and revision. Many old memories, ideas from years gone by, maybe even past life suggestions can present themselves while Mercury retrogrades back into Gemini. Your dreams should be vivid and inspiring, pay attention, and write them down. People can become somewhat pernickety about what they consider necessary, what they demand, what they expect while Juno is in Gemini. A usual uplift of income, an excitement of the services you offer to earn a living, comes without much effort. Chiron retrograding will be the remedy you need for your job, career or business. It brings things together, provides restoration and healing and provides you with a sense of what is to come. Happy Summer Solstice, the Sun enters Cancer signally the longest day of the year and the beginning of our warm season. You will have an interesting and enjoyable summer.

Taurus Monthly Forecast
Taurus

The Sun enters Gemini; your progressed birth year is in motion. This year you plan on becoming more organised, making commitments, developing greater presence and more stability in your work and in your personal life. The rules are relaxed, they are changing form and you are allowing the expansive process to show you the way. You accept the unusual, untried, innovative, unique and different. The new idea of security takes on many facets. You feel like you are more in touch with yourself than ever. Whatever life lessons you thought you reincarnated to learn, the real ones will now take shape. You are eager to grow into your purposeful perspective. Mistakes are good teachers. Paternal attitudes although well intentioned interfere. You grow beyond your teachers, mentors, parents, family and ancestors. You grow into your own. This is good. It is confusing that at the same time you feel farther removed from devoted friends even though they are as close as ever. Gravitate toward those who share your ideas, have like-minded interest, those who think the same because your evolution will be supported by this. Look outside yourself for the answers you seek, enough already with fine combing your inner self. Take the clues you have and start exploring other people's viewpoints and information for the next solution. You are drawn to trying different foods only to find that they do not all agree with you. A cessation of discordant dissatisfaction in a no-win situation strengthens your psychic self-defence vortex. With Venus in Taurus your sensors are finely tuned, you feel vibrations; if other people do not resonate with you then you will feel it. Your soft spot will be spending money on your home while Mercury is in Cancer. Greater resolution, highly procreative energy and excellent psychic or intuitive ability overcomes and excels. Your discipline is paramount; it is strengthened, highly protective, inclusive and loyal to what you believe. New people will come into your circle, old friends and acquaintances will reappear, and new associations come out of shared commitments. When Ceres resumes direct motion you are more able to care for everyone again, no longer do you have to reserve your energy and strength for yourself. There will be much spiritual advancement and rational understanding derived when Mercury is retrograde. Dream states can be disturbed by issues surrounding relationships but otherwise will provide clues to future prospects while Neptune is retrograde. You are very creative with ideas, music, writing, prophesising and making connections. Revising what you believed to be your calling will be a part of your evolutionary plan. You will no longer let personal issues get in the way and distort your progress. Relationships of conflict have to be cleared of their negative charge to get unstuck from residual issues. Take a philosophical approach, explore the unfamiliar, test every possibility and strike out in a direction that requires freedom and faith. You try to protect yourself from the negative impact of disastrous global news but are very aware of the shifts taking place in humanity. Friends and acquaintances bring their troubles to you to cleanse, purge and renew them. You are not stuck; it is either your job or your vocation. Out of sorts and out of kilter with yourself, many contrasting thoughts whiz around your head. Much of what you learned or observed in your past is reviewed for relevancy. You are looking at yourself as if you were another person; this objectivity gives you insights into how other people receive you while Mercury is retrograde in Gemini. It is blindingly obvious what other people's conditional expectations are while Juno is in Gemini. Be ready for a surprise, hopefully it is not a cruel joke, the unexpected can be pleasurable. Great transformational power comes through Chiron's retrograde. Flashbacks may revisit old wounds or new experiences are a duplication of the event. It is a release that allows the flow of greater wisdom as it untangles your life patterns. You are being led to wholeness. Happy Summer Solstice, the Sun is entering Cancer creating the longest day of the year and signalling the start of the warm season. You will be blessed.

Life in the beyond

Silver Birch the best loved internationally famous spirit communicator and teacher from the spirit world

Silver Birch has described something of the beauties of the spirit world, which he declares we visit frequently in our sleep, although most of us cannot remember our experiences on waking:

When you have tasted and enjoyed with your full consciousness all that my world has to offer, you will realise that it is the love we bear for you that makes us come back to work amongst you. You have not tasted the joys of the world of spirit. There is nothing in your world of matter with which you can compare the life of the spirit, freed from the trammels of the flesh, escaped from the prison of the body of matter, with liberty to go where you will, to see your thoughts take shape, to follow out the desires of your heart, to be freed from the troubles of money.

You who are encased in matter, do not yet comprehend beauty as it can be. You have not seen our light, colour, scenery, trees, birds, rivers, streams, mountains, flowers and yet you're world fears death.

Death strikes terror into their hearts. But you will only begin to live when you're "dead". Now you live, but in reality you're almost dead. So many are dead to the things of the spirit. The little life force flickers in their puny bodies, but no spiritual things can find any response within them. But gradually we make progress. Gradually the force of the spirit increases in strength all over your world of matter. Gradually darkness retreats, as it must when confronted by the light of spiritual truth. There are no words to compare the life in your world of matter with the life in the world of spirit. We who are "dead" and know so much more of life than you do. This is the world where the artist finds all his dreams come true, where the painter and the poet realise their ambitions, where genius has full power of expression, where the repressions of earth are swept away and all gifts and talents are used in the service of one another. This is the world where there are no clumsy words to express inspiration, but where thought is the living language and reveals itself with lightning rapidity.

This is the world where we have no money to worry us, where there is no competition, no driving of the weaker to, the wall, where the strong, are strong because they have something to give to those less fortunate than themselves. We have no unemployment, we have no slums, we have no selfishness. We have no sects, we have only one religion. We have no sacred books, only the operation of the divine laws to instruct us. And the nearer you get to the belts of matter, the more clumsy and difficult it is for the spirit to express itself. I never like to come back. The only things that make me do so are the promise that I have given to serve and the love of all of you, which gives me some compensation. To die is not tragic. To live in your world is tragic. To see the garden of the Great Spirit choked with the weeds of selfishness and greed and avarice, that his tragedy.

To die it is to enjoy freedom of the spirit, which has been imprisoned behind the bars of the material body. Is it tragic to be released from suffering, for the soul to come into its own? Is it tragic to see wonders of colour, to hear music that does not belong to material expression? Do you call it tragic to express yourself in a body that has no pain, to be able to roam all over the world of matter in a flash and to taste the beauties of the spirit life too? There is not in your world one artist who could capture with his paints some of the glories of my world. There is not one musician who can record some of the glories of the music spheres with your notes. There is not one writer who could describe it in physical words the beauty of parts of this world. What a pleasant surprise you will have one day, when you become conscious of our world. Your world is in beauty now. You see all around you the manifestations of the Great Spirit, as the dawn of life sweeps over your surroundings again in its cycle, and you marvel at the beauty of the blossom and the fragrance of the flowers, and you say: "How great is the handiwork of the Great Spirit."

And yet, that which you see is but a very, very pale reflection of the beauties that we have in our world of spirit. We have flowers such as you have never seen, we have colours such as your eye has never beheld, we have scenes and forests, we have birds and plants, we have streams and mountains. You have nothing to compare them with. And you will be able to enjoy them, for, even though you will be ghosts, you will be real ones. You come to our world now, but you do not remember. You visit the spirit world every night. That is your preparation. Otherwise, it would be such a shock when you come here to start your real life in earnest. When you pass on, you will remember your visits. You will then be freed from the limitations of the body and you will be able to express to the full all the consciousness, which has been released during your sleep. In its new expression, it will bring to you all the memories that you have, the memories of all the experiences that you have enjoyed.

What will be the position of those who, after passing, go to the lower planes of spirit life? Will they remember their sleep visits.... presumably to the lower planes.... and will that memory help them to adjust their position?

Silver Birch

Those who would gravitate to the lower planes go to those planes during sleep, but the memory of that would not help them to realise their position after death because the planes on which they found themselves would still resemble the material world. The lower in the world of spirit, the more earthly it is in appearance because the vibrations are more gross; the higher in the realms of spirit, the finer the vibrations.

Question

Do we sometimes remember our sleep adventures in this life?

Silver Birch

When your spirit is released from its body, you are freed from your brain, which is your limitation in the world of matter. The consciousness now has experiences on our vibrations, according to your grade of evolution, and it is conscious of its experiences while it has them. But, when you go back to your body of matter and try to capture the experiences of the spirit, you cannot do so because one is greater than the other. The smaller cannot hold the greater and you get distortion. It is as if you had a little bag and you tried to get lots of things into it. You could only get some of the things into the bag, and the more you pushed the more out of shape they would become. That is what happens to you when you returned to your bodies. But, if your soul is already evolved and you have reached an advanced stage of consciousness, then you are aware of the spirit realms. Then you can quite easily train the brain to remember.

I talk with all of you and I often say: "Remember this when you go back to your world". But you do not. I have been with each one of you "in this circle" and I have taken you to many places. But, though you do not remember it now, none of it is ever wasted.

Question

Do you mean that the memory of these experiences will help us when we pass on?

Silver Birch

Yes. Nothing is wasted. The law is perfect. Those of us who have lived for many years marvel at the perfection of the law, and when we hear the puny minds of your world criticise the Great Spirit... how little they know! The less they know, the more they express themselves.

Question

Are many people engaged in working during their sleep state, or are the visits used solely for preparation for the larger life?

Silver Birch

Some of you do work; because there are many that you can help in your sleep state. But, usually, it is a preparation. You're taken to those places, which will help you to be ready for your work when you leave the world of matter. If that were not done, the shock of coming from one sphere of expression to another would be so great that it would take you a long time to recover. That is why it is easier for those who have knowledge when they come to our world. Others have to sleep and rest for a long time, until they can adjust themselves. If you have knowledge, then you pass from one state to another and you are aware of the new life. After all, it is just like opening a door and coming into the sunshine. You must get accustomed to light. Those without knowledge would have to have a long period of rest to recover from the period of transition. It is the same as a baby in your world. It has to feel its way. They would still remember their experiences, but more as you remember dreams. Nothing is ever lost, in your world or in mine. Always remember that. Every thought, every action, every desire to serve that is thrown out of your hearts helps someone somewhere. Always, when the desire is there, you attract those who can help you.

Question

When people pass on lacking in understanding, do they respond to our thoughts and receive our mental messages?

Silver Birch

Awakening only comes when realisation dawns. If you have knowledge, then your awakening is much quicker. We have to fight ignorance, misunderstanding, superstition, false creeds, erroroneous theologies, all of which do not help to prepare the soul for its new life. Before these are conquered, the soul has gradually to accustom itself, and there is a long period of rest. As in your world you have hospitals for bruised and injured bodies, we have to treat bruised and injured souls. But where an individual has rendered great service, and love, goodwill, affection and prayer accompany his passing into my world, then the awakening is speeded, for all those vibrations help him.

Question

What will happen to a person who passes on, not believing in survival, but thinking that when he dies it is the end?

Silver Birch

As you cannot die, because it is contrary to the natural law, that person will have to wake up and face the fact. How long it will take for the realisation of spirit life to come to him will depend upon the evolution of his soul... how far it is advanced and how it can attune itself to the new conditions.

Question

Will the passing of such a person be difficult?

Silver Birch

That, again, depends on the evolution of the soul. Passing from your world to mine is not difficult, as a rule, because usually the one who passes is not conscious of the change at the time. It is only advanced souls who register the passing out of the world of matter into the world of spirit.

Question

If such a person has been good, will he suffer in any way for not believing the truth of survival, even if he has been told of it?

Silver Birch

Good, bad, I do not know what these words mean. It will depend only upon the life he has led, the service he has rendered, the opportunities he has taken to unfold the Great Spirit that is within him. That is all that counts. It is better to have knowledge then ignorance, but the only test is the way you have lived your life from day to day.

Question

In the spirit life, do we join again with those we love and become younger? Jesus says there is no marriage or giving in marriage.

Silver Birch

Wherever there has been love between a man and a woman and that love has brought them together and made them as one, and they have lived on the same spiritual plane in your world, then "death" will not part them. "Death" will be a door, which will give them a greater freedom for their souls to be more closely united than they were in your world of matter. But if their coming together, their marriage as you call it, was not a marriage of souls but only of bodies, and their souls did not dwell on the same plane, then "death" will drive them further apart, for it will relegate them to their own spiritual sphere. If there is love, they will find that in the world of spirit they will not get younger, not older, but will experience growth, evolution, and development. These are things of the soul, not the body when the Nazarene said that there is no marriage and no giving in marriage, he was referring to the marriage of bodies, not the marriage of soul. For that which you call male and that which you call female each has its contribution to make to each other. The female is necessary to the male and the male is necessary to the female. The Great Spirit embodies the two principles in perfection. As you evolve in planes of spirit the difference becomes less and less.

The Teachings of Silver Birch

The chances are that Silver Birch's wisdom will remain with you forever. Long after you have forgotten his precise words, his guidance will still be a very real influence whenever you need it. Silver Birch's words are so accessible and meaningful that you will never tire of reading them.

I was introduced to the teachings of Silver Birch many years ago and it is true you never will tire of reading them. There is something so special, so deep that will resonate within your soul and his words will stay with you, guide you, and comfort you for the rest of your life.  Silver Birch, the spirit guide channelled his words of wisdom through Maurice Barbanell.

He was born to Jewish parents in a poor area of London's East End. His mother was devoutly religious but his father, a barber was an atheist so Barbanell heard many arguments about religion during his early years. His father always won, and his son adopted the same outlook but later changed to agnosticism. Yet after hearing about Spiritualism from a speaker at a social and literary club of which he was secretary, Barbanell refused to start the debate by putting an opposing view - one of his duties - because, he explained, he had made no personal investigation and therefore his opinions were valueless. This impressed the speaker who invited Barbanell to attend a seance in which a medium, Mrs Blaustein, was entranced by various spirits of different nationalities. He was not impressed, and on a second visit fell asleep. Barbanell apologised, believing that either boredom or tiredness had been responsible, but the other circle members informed him that he had not been asleep but had been in a trance and a Red Indian had spoken through him.

With the encouragement of a famous Fleet Street journalist Hannen Swaffer, Barbanell founded Psychic News partly as a vehicle for the guide's teachings. But, because he knew he would be criticised for publishing his own mediumship in his own newspaper, Barbanell did not reveal to his readers for many years who was channelling the wisdom, by which time the guide had a huge following on his own merits.Silver Birch spoke regularly at Barbanell's home circle and the proceedings were always recorded shorthand. There were a number of differences in style and procedure between Barbanell's own journalistic efforts and the way in which Silver Birch communicated, as Barbanell himself observed:

"In my working life I use words every day. I have never yet written or dictated an article with which I was satisfied when I read it. Inevitably I find, when looking at the typed material, that I can improve it by altering words, phrases and sentences. No such problem arises with the guide's teachings. These flow perfectly, requiring usually only punctation. Another interesting aspect is the occasional use of words that I regard as archaic and do not form part of my normal vocabulary."

Silver Birch

But who was Silver Birch? A psychic artist depicts him as a serious-looking native American Indian with a single feather and compassionate eyes. There is evidence to suggest that this was simply a convenient persona behind which a far more spiritually evolved soul hid in order that those who read his words would judge them not by the name attached to them but by the wisdom that pervades every sentence. Those who knew them both were well aware of the differences in the way they spoke and the words they used. They both had spiritual missions and they fulfilled them admirably, particularly when working together in their unique two-world partnership. This, as you will discover, has provided inspirational answers to the questions we all ask, from time to time, about life and its purpose. They are needed now more than ever before as we prepare for the challenges that confront us in the 21st century.

Silver Birch Speaks:

"Man was born to be free, to dwell in liberty. He was not born to be a slave, bound and fettered. His life should be full of richness, the richness of mind and body and spirit. All knowledge should be open to him, all truth, all wisdom, all inspiration. He should dwell in the splendour of the spirit with none of the cramping, irksome, vexatious restrictions imposed upon him by those who would deny his heritage and thwart his destiny.

"The power of the spirit is the power of life. The reason why there is life is because Spirit is there. The power that fashioned the whole universe, majestic though it is and stupendously vast, is the same power which enables you to exist here and hereafter for all time.

"The power that enables you to love, to think, to care, to judge, to reflect, to decide, to weigh, to ponder, to be inspired, to reach the heights and depths of the whole gamut of human feelings - that power is the power of the spirit."

The following are quotes from the various books of Silver Birch

Quotes from Teachings of Silver Birch

What a glorious message we have for your world of matter - a message that makes men free and teaches them to rejoice in their divine heritage; a message that teaches them to throw off shackles and bonds; a message that teaches them to rejoice in the fullness of spiritual knowledge; a message that shows them how to live not only on the planes of matter but on the planes of spirit; a message that brings them beauty, love and wisdom, understanding, truth and happiness; a message that speaks of service, service, service...

Quotes from Guidance from Silver Birch

There is no joy and no service that can match helping others. In a world so full of darkness, where millions have lost their way, where there are countless numbers troubled and perplexed with sorrow in their hearts, who awake each morning in fear and apprehension of what the day brings - if you can help one soul to find some serenity and to realise that he/she is not neglected, but surrounded by arms of infinite love, that is a great work. It is more important than anything else.

Quotes from Philosophy of Silver Birch

If you prefer blindness, keep your eyes closed. If you prefer deafness keep your ears closed. But if you are wise, you will open the windows of your soul so that you can become aware of that mighty, vast power of the spirit which will strengthen and encourage you and make you know how life can be lived and enjoyed to the full.

Quotes from More Philosophy of Silver Birch

You must live for the day, for the hour, for the minute, for the second, live in the ever present moment. Have no anxiety for the morrow and do the best you can. The Great Spirit is aware of the fact that you are all human beings and imperfect. That is why you are on earth. If you were perfect you would not be where you are now. The function of your earthly life is simply to eliminate the imperfections.

Quotes from Light From Silver Birch

Of course there will be problems in Life. Earth is a place where you are presented with difficulties, frustrations, obstacles and handicaps. The whole purpose of earthly existence is to meet conditions that are a challenge to the evolving spirit so that it can have the chance to epxress some of its latent qualities that can be called on in times of crisis. You cannot achieve spiritual mastery without conquering the problems that you encounter; but none is so insuperable that you cannot overcome it. You will have to be patient and pray for guidance that at the right time the door will open and the way will be shown. I always tell my friends in very simple language never to bang against a closed door.

Quotes from Silver Birch Companion

You who live in the world of matter are most unoriginal creatures. You do not, except very seldom, create anything. You are receiving stations and transmitting stations. Thoughts come to you; they lodge within you; you add to their wings and send them forth where others receive them. The thought that comes to you is not the same as when it leaves you; your personality has quickened it, or slowed it down, enriched it or impoverished it, made it more beautiful or more ugly, given it new life, or perhaps vitiated it. But over and above all that, you can, when you attune yourself, receive positive inspiration from those of like mentality to yourself.

Quotes from A Voice in the Wilderness

In all the moments of crisis, fix your minds upon the eternal things of the spirit. Do not dwell too much on the kingdom of empires and dominions but on the Kingdom of Heaven. Do not have excessive adoration for those who are only men. Remember the great tasks, the greater problems. Remember the masses who cry out, whose pain, bitterness and sorrow are far, far greater than the difficulties of only one. That is the greater lesson for all in your world of matter to learn.

Quotes from The Seed of Truth

Man was born to be free,to dwell in liberty; he was not born to be a slave, bound and fettered.

Quotes from The Spirit Speaks

The reason for communication is love, love governs communication, whether it be in the love founded on the relationship between people who know one another on earth, or the love of service and the desire to help mankind that attracts unknowns to one another.

Quotes from Lift Up Your Hearts

Everybody in your world has to die. It is part of the law that you cannot live on earth for ever. So it is inevitable that the physical body, when it has fulfilled its function, should be severed from the spiritual body and the soul which endowed it with animation. It is thus that the transitional period can be accomplished and the soul go marching on as part of its eternal pilgrimage. It is of course sad that this happens because many of you, alas, have your spiritual vision restricted so that you see only the material, the shell, the husk, and not the underlying, sublime reality. The eyes of the spirit are open, and knows that the one you love and who loves you has left you physically but not spiritually.

Death has no power to separate those whom love has joined together and made them one in spirit.

Quotes from The Universe of Silver Birch

The Great Spirit is the natural Law of the universe. The Great Spirit is the creative force behind all life, whether registered in the plane of matter or that of the plane of spirit. The Great Spirit pervades all the universe, whether it is the tiny portion known to you, or the larger part, which ,as yet, has not been revealed to earthly gaze.

Quotes from Silver Birch Anthology

All things of matter will fade away and become absorbed in the dust of which your earthly life is made. Ambitions, desires, the acquisition of wealth, all these are of no account, but you will always remain as spiritual beings, and your richness will be just what is contained within your own nature, no more, no less. That is the lesson to be learned in all earthly life. If you learn it you are wise because you have found yourself, and having found yourself, you will have found the Great Spirit.

Quotes from The Silver Birch Book of Questions and Answers

Q - What is spirit?A - SPIRIT is perfect in its origin, spirit possess intrinsically the creative forces of all life. Spirit is not subject to age, infirmity, wastage or to any of the defects that affect the physical body. The line of spirit evolution is from immaturity to maturity. Part of its evolution is accomplished through a physical body, which it has created for that purpose. Spirit is dominant, spirit is the king, spirit is the ruler. But here comes the paradox. There is an interaction between spirit, mind and body, and the body restricts the activity of the spirit on earth because the spirit can express itself on earth only through the body at its disposal.

You never blame the lettuce. Yet if we have problems with our friends or family, we blame the other person. But if we know how to take care of them, they will grow well, like the lettuce. Blaming has no positive effect at all, nor does trying to persuade using reason and argument. That is my experience. No blame, no reasoning, no argument, just understanding. If you understand, and you show that you understand, you can

The Twelve Aspirations of the Medicine Buddha

1 In my pure land, may all beings exhibit the 32 major marks and the 80 minor marks of a Buddha. If this does not come to pass, may I not reach enlightenment.

2 May all sentient beings born in my pure land radiate glowing light - a light that dispels all dwelling in darkness. If this does not come to pass, may I not reach enlightenment.

3 Whoever is born in that pure land, may they always enjoy material abundance and be free of all worldly concerns. If this does not come to pass,

may I not reach enlightenment.

4 May the beings in that pure land possess a stable vision of the pure view. If this does not come to pass, may I not reach enlightenment.

5 May those born in my pure land pay utmost attention to the purity of their conduct. May the results of negative karma due to previous actions be deferred to the time of most benefit to spiritual growth. If this does not come to pass, may I not reach enlightenment.

6 May they all emanate health and growth in body and mind. May they be relieved of any discomfort or disorder that hinders spiritual growth. If this does not come to pass, may I not reach enlightenment.

7 May my name become a mantra that heals all ailments. May the sound of my name and the image of my nirmanakaya be a balm that eases all pain. May

the sound of my name or visualization of my image cure physical troubles and sickness. If this does not come to pass, may I not reach enlightenment.

8 May those who wish to change gender have that wish be fulfilled. May that choice lead directly to enlightenment. If this does not come to pass, may I not reach enlightenment.

9 May those who hold wrong views or beliefs regarding dharma immediately develop right view when they hear my name. As a result, may they engage in bodhisattva activities. If this does not come to pass, may I not reach enlightenment.

10 May those who live in fear and are easily controlled, who feel threatened

with incarceration and punishment, leave behind their fears of catastrophe. If this does not come to pass, may I not reach enlightenment.

11 May those whose subsistence has depended on predation and the killing of other beings have all their material needs met upon hearing my name.

May their freedom result in the recognition of their innate bodhisattva nature. If this does not come to pass, may I not reach

enlightenment.

12 Upon hearing my name, may those who suffer from any kind of hunger, thirst, or cold have all their needs provided for. May their food, drink,

and clothing free them from mundane concerns so that they may begin to benefit others. If this does not come to pass, may I not reach enlightenment.

After the great Medicine Buddha made these bodhisattva vows, he kept these promises throughout all his lifetimes as a bodhisattva. When we practice the Medicine Buddha, we should remember these commitments and aspire to do the same, for the sake of all living beings. If we do this with love, compassion, and bodhichitta, it will benefit us and all other living beings.
