We are starting out on a fresh new trip around the Sun. Happy Spring Equinox; Happy first day of Aries; enter the first sign of the zodiac and Happy New Year as we enter the first day of the zodiacal calendar. The Sun and the personal planets visit the Aries point every year but when the outer planets crossover it indicates a major epoch. This is our fourth trip around the Sun since Uranus entered Aries on May 27, 2010; the year that initiated a lot of change in all of our lives.

The planet of great change in the first sign of the zodiac is bound to bring an inconsistent reality full of shifting sands. Already processing the changes to our paradigm with Pluto in Capricorn since January 25, 2008 Uranus at an angle of ninety degrees to Pluto {2012-2015} adds an acute dimension to the changing universal forces. Both Capricorn and Aries are cardinal signs, they are the beginning of Winter and of Spring and therefore highly significant with regard to change. They spin the wheel of life.

We have two more Uranus square Pluto transits this year and one final one in 2015. The relationship between Uranus and Pluto strengthened in January and on April 21^st, 2014 the square is once again exact. The tensions from this square will already be building as we move closer to that date. The second square for 2014 is on December 15^th. We are used to these; we have had two of these every year since 2012; no wonder life is full of profound change and in some places turmoil. Evolution meets Metamorphosis to complete our performance review and suggest what is best for our future development. The good news is we are nearing the end; we are getting over the shock and awe and getting on with our changed reality. These last three squares are like aftershocks. The last square is scheduled for March 16, 2015. We get our full complement of credits for our course on transfiguration. Hang in there these are profound times.

We have ten years to lend our energies to the collective so we can fix what is broken in our global infrastructure or national unity and to address the causes of civil unrest. When Pluto enters Aquarius in 2024 we need these areas to be as conflict free as possible. The squares of 2012 to 2015 help to release the metamorphic and transitional energies that are needed. It is likely most of us experienced a life changing event in 2010 previous to this series of squares and this last year 2013 we added another stepping stone in that parallel chapter occurred. The culmination of this life changing episode should follow the square at the end of 2015. I hate to dangle the carrot on a stick but if you find yourself in rough times just keep assuring yourself you just have to get through "this". Live in the now and deal with only the now while you orchestrate the preamble to the future.

In the month ahead Ceres retrogrades back into Libra contributing to instability or indecision that I think will be expressed through weather events. Even on the west coast it will be best not to be too anxious to get plants in the ground. Relationship and partnership go through the grinding mill of transition, morphing into its evolutionary improved state with changes to our role models. Do not be rash, evolve. Pallas Athena is direct once more this month so that raises our immunity and ability to protect ourselves. But remember, the cells in your body react to everything that your mind says. Negativity brings down your immune system. Keeping a positive attitude is your best defence. Finally Pluto retrogrades which is a good thing as it takes the pressure and stress down a few notches.

We need to manage ourselves and we are learning to do that no matter what the circumstances. Over the last six years we have built a lot of character. At present we are still climbing over the current challenges toward the plateau that will let us rest for a spell. I am looking forward to summer but I am going to enjoy every minute that the spring season has to offer come what may. A still mind finds the way.

20^TH Happy Birthday to all Arians and Happy Equinox to everyone else! This is supposed to be spring but unfortunately there appears to be stormy times yet ahead. Last month I referred to how March will end, rather like the Lion than the Lamb is what I suspect. It looks like mid-April before we are out of the woods with weather Canada wide. This late start to spring does not mean to cast shadows on your birthday Aries. Quite the opposite, this should be a year of executing your hopes and wishes. We have reached the point of equality again, equal day and night, light and dark. The days will grow longer more rapidly from this point. We will gain four more hours of daylight between now and June 21^st.

Aries is alive with robust and revitalising energy as the Sun crosses the cusp into Spring. Juno, Uranus and the South Node are working their way through Aries as well. We think therefore we are. We know and can waltz with the daily tempo of change. We are mingling and merging the familiar with the new as the transformers in Aries give us the courage to be. This is the month of vitality. It is a time when we experience a tremendous push of the day-force. Longer sunnier days are ahead. We are more inspired, enthusiastic and spontaneous. New seedlings are shooting out of the earth and striving for light. Even in colder regions there is much going on below the surface. We reach out to the higher mind and willpower to guide the intellect and ego because passion fuels this bold quick-thinking motivational energy field. We want to initiate what we want to conquer.

The child-like invincibility in which we are enveloped compels us to take competition, challenge and obstacle head on. But there is a self-centred impulse and a one-track turn of mind that can make a quick uie into impatience. Rushing in haste can create much destruction. We can take on a million projects that we have no plan to finish. We err on the side of short-sightedness and our efforts lack planning. Another weakness is a lack of sensitivity and limited emotionalism. People tend to be more candid, blunt, emphatic and concerned with winning. We are enthralled with self-assertion and pursuing goals. It is a good time to make an impression, stir up some action, and take on the world. Take advantage of all this get-up-and-go. We celebrate as nature comes to life.Animals come out of hibernation; mating season begins.

22^ND A push-pull tension is created with the Aries-Libra energies this spring. The polarity is active.Ceres is retrograding back into Libra the epitome of indecision. Vesta, Mars and the North Node are retrograding in Libra now as well. It is a triad of importance when touched by the Node. Too much stress and a lack of trust in ourselves we lose touch with our determination. Ceres in Libra expresses nurturing with small tasteful touches, good manners and qualitative subtlety. Be nurturing! The retrograde is a gentle prodding to be more appreciative, cooperative, encouraging and harmonious. Beauty brings quality to life. Music or the arts are transformative experiences. We can learn to truly accept ourselves from within. This would provide a shield against opinion. We learn to treat ourselves justly and fairly while sharing with others. Let go of those people who reveal they really do not care.

23^RD In the building of our life we need to be reminded to get back on the path, to let go of what will not work, to consider alternatives to what we are doing. These jogs to our awareness often come through conflict, challenge or despair. We cannot always maintain the status quo, there are appropriate times to construct better possibilities and this is one of them. Reality and ideals clash; injustice, inequality and other imbalances are all too obvious. Legal complications can arise. Arrogance, self-righteousness, extravagance and infidelity are other negative expressions of the down side.

Our thought forms around relationship will go askew and we will have to rethink our position or strategy. We do not want to realise what we must, our feelings and thoughts do not go the same way so we have to renegotiate with ourselves. We do our immune system a disservice if we are in conflict with ourselves or see ourselves in a negative light. It is also not appropriate to project total responsibility on others. To reconcile the inner self we have to own our part. People who limit us, cause us to give up something or influence us in a way that we devalue ourselves are not worth the effort. Hidden agendas fulfil selfish objectives. We can invest too much of ourselves in someone else's venture at no cost to them. They can fortify their fortress of guilt by manipulating others and casting more dispersion on those that do not serve them. Disproportionate distribution of our time and attention gets addressed. We get back to basics keeping our main objectives as a priority around which we modify all else where necessary. Father issues can be unravelled and hopefully let go. Where his protectiveness failed we must step up and take better care of ourselves. Put an end to the issue.

The Last Quarter Moon is a barometer of our progress. We compare where we are now with where we were in the past. Many people are going to be pleasantly surprised with how different their life is now. Slowly and without realising it we have been transforming what is in the light of what can be. Most of us will be pleased with our progress. The rest of us will be motivated if not compelled to do something about making progress. Getting things out of our way is the issue. We need space to be creative. Letting go leaves room for the new or for other things to expand into the space. Wishful thinking will set energies in motion. The products of our unconscious mind can manifest this way. Likewise rational thoughts can melt away and allow inspiration.

24^TH Old strategy will not work on new projects. We are planting new ground, exploring unknown territory, searching for the next step on our journey so it is a challenge to make the right choice. Internal dialogue is on full volume, we are evaluating as we go. Moving away from standard, status quo, tradition or herd mentality can ruffle the feathers of family and society. Some part of who we are is striking out in a new direction that requires creative freedom and faith. There will be people who take this as disapproval of them or the system and they will flaunt their defiance. It is time to step back, back out, fit in or leave. We are testing every possibility for nothing is black and white; there are only shades of grey. Ideals create a battleground with reality. Ideals can mask a hidden agenda. Consider the legal aspects of every situation. Striving to improve we are more willing to work toward mutual agreement. A philosophical approach furthers improvement. Humour and helpfulness go a long way in making things better. People seek our confidence in them by being pleasing, good natured and behaving in a way that gains our approval. Not everyone does this for the right reasons. Our protection shield is sagging and easily penetrated.

Anything that is not meant to go forward can get pulled apart. A dichotomy will develop splitting our willpower allowing a fracture to appear. Stress makes things very intense. We need to call on our most impulsive, forceful, angry or dominant energies to act in ways that might not at other times gain approval. Divergence is compelled in answer to a need for right action. There is a turning point that requires the unconventional approach. We have to act without the security of knowing we will have the support of others. Putting ourselves on the line can have repercussion but we are willing nonetheless. We are commanded by the truth and may be dealing with an adversarial relationship. This symbolism also lends itself to the parent-child relationship which can break down in the process of creating new agreements. The natural phases and rites of passage need to be acknowledged even if the rules are broken.

25^TH Kowabunga, abracadabra, sim sala bim, open sesame, hocus pocus; presto voila. Say the magic words and upgrade your relationship to a new model. Poof we graduate into new and intricate distinctions. There is more individual innovation allowed within modern role models, distinct freedom within security due to unconventional flexibility. New concepts about marriage are formed. They allow independent ideas to flourish within joint endeavours. Society's relationship model, the roles of husband and wife or gender relevance of man and woman have moved far away from the paradigm of the 50's. The current shift takes the relationship model that was spawned out of the 2009-10 turmoil into a new transitional phase in 2015. We do not remember if we have tried what we are trying now but most likely we have. Nonetheless we are modernising the gender and status quo specific roles we live with. Humanity will graduate into new levels of relating.

27^TH The Balsamic Moon phase is sweet and surprising; what a delicious combination. It is super creative, exceedingly inspirational and amazingly motivational. All we have to do is decide how we want to change our life and the intention takes on a life of its own. This phase is ripe with promise; gardeners are getting ready to seed their crops on the new moon. How exciting! I have a new garden to turn and ready for a fall crop but that is exciting too. Turning new ground and uncovering rarities is the theme for this phase. We have to empower the self to dissuade all others from influencing our definitive choices so we can let ourselves be free to discover. This is a very fertile time of self-development, planting the seed ideas for our future realisation. Do well.

Relationship transmutation comes and happens to us if we have not been afforded an opportunity to fix things by preference. The problem is it feels more like the stress and conflict is happening to us than by personal choice. Intense struggles, destructive conflict or obsessive jealousy are a few ways this energy can manifest. Extreme experiences erupt one way or another as this intense passion builds to great height as well as depth. This can be both a stormy and a beautiful journey. Attitudes and roles will change under the duress of current events. Contracts and agreements are revisited with an eye for making things right. If we tone down the volatility we are better able to go about doing what we need to do. What we need to do will be revealed to us in obvious ways.

29^TH We are not quite ready to plough ahead. We need to reconnoitre. It will feel like things are coming to a halt even if they are not. There will be endings, a reconsideration of the structures of our lives and the act of stepping back so we can devise a plan. This is frustrated energy. We can rant, rave be reckless and hasty which can spiral into self-destruct. On the opposite end of that spectrum we can demonstrate great restraint, suppression of our energies, endurance, strength and persistence. We cannot push too hard against this idling of our affairs. Try to find a constructive use for this bottlenecked energy maybe for developing improved strategy and methodology. It is best not to get in too deep with a project that is over our head. Stop and go hesitations, hasty reactions and other tangential conduct are all symptomatic of these energies braking in reverse. It can also create some smouldering, overt pride or defiance. Immunity continues to be a high priority consideration. This is a good time to boost the blood.

30^TH The Aries New Moon has a lot of changeability around it. On the West Coast this might not result in a parallel weather experience with the East. There might be drastic changes but they will be different according to our region. I am thinking of the mountain of snow in Ontario and other regions rapidly melting. It is spring but we might still be starting or coddling our seedlings indoors on the coast. While this is a take charge kind of phase we do not have the clarity and wholesomeness we need yet. We are revving our engines. Intense experience in stasis is a curious and maybe befuddling event. There is a discovery to unearth, a treasure to be found, something of value to be gleaned.

We are reaching out to other people we are in some form of relationship with. We want them to understand our point of view. There can be setbacks or difficulties that need to be worked out. It is difficult to understand each other because of our differences. These can be traditional or cultural but our definition of relationship, expectations and beliefs are not similar. We can get bound up in our presets which interfere with our ability to see another's point of view. Multi-cultural combinations present vastly different differences so this can be anything from a slight to a monumental event. Wounding and healing or making better is what we are likely to experience. It is necessary to be mutually beneficial in reshaping and redefining a highly personalised version of relationship wherever possible.

April 2^ND Our ability to direct the motion of our life is dissipated. There may be hold backs or delays but generally the oomph is not there. There has to be a reason for all these stalls, misdirection and loss of focus. We can become confused, unsure, hung up on things. We can put other people first to our detriment. Although it is a very self-serving atmosphere we are not so good at standing up for ourselves we need to boost our confidence. Very strong powers of imagination and spiritual motivation can be put to good use. But otherwise we can feel ineffective and if so frustrated. Lower energy levels means we have to budget ourselves physically. On top of that our energy escapes too, it just seems to want to go wherever it darn well pleases. Do it or not do it seems all the same to us. We can feel like we have no direction but the challenge is to get in touch with our other senses. We can be guided intuitively or by instinct to get beyond this.

3^RD We reach the initial cresting of the Moon's reflection of the Sun's light. The Crescent Moon, the beginning of promise. It is a good one. If we have all our Ps and Qs in order we are fast tracked to the stepping stones to our future. We are magnetically drawn to our purposeful actualisation step by step. There is work that can commence, projects that can get underway, plans that can be worked on and if all conditions are as they should be there will be progress. If we find ourselves at a standstill and our efforts are frustrated we are obviously barking up the wrong tree, going down the wrong road or needing our evolutionary adjustment and changed mindsets. Things are getting stretched open so we can liberate ourselves from oppressive circumstances.

5^TH Venus has dived into the cosmic sea that is Pisces. We have been here before not too long ago just before Venus turned retrograde. But she is now direct and going to move straight through. We have a full embodiment to Pisces operating through Venus. Exalted in this sign it brings out the higher minded values of the collective. That does not mean everyone will walk to the beat of their highest best self but those who are ready will gain a greater benefit from this transit. We can have greater compassion, empathy and unity. Expectations within relationship can be altered. Acceptance increases appreciation and compassion. We can have more empathy. We seek out the beautiful, harmonious and aesthetic. This zone of spirituality helps us to live through the heart. There is a down side to this energy field when used in the wrong hands for the wrong reasons. The scam comes to mind. When people are in an aesthetic state other people appeal to their pocket book for all manner of reasons that the open heart would fall for.

7^TH Half the Moon is lit by the Sun's reflection at the First Quarter phase. We are at our first point of challenge in the lunar month. Emotional drama however can be at its peak. We need to be more reasonable or we will waste precious time and energy when we could be making progress. Something triggers or sparks us and we have a quick fuse that goes off without any forethought. A trigger finger so to speak. We might alienate other people by the force and power of any outburst that releases unexpressed tensions. So much can flood into our mind that it is difficult to make sense to others. Try not to make matters worse. The reactions we have need to be understood and analysed before we speak. The force of this eruption however is hard to ration. The opportunity for misunderstandings, misleading information, inaccurate assumption is vast. We can be blindsided by people who take advantage of the rushed approach to get what they want. The urgency compels us to comply. Stop, hesitate and think first. The story other people imagine into reality to cover their true actions can be very convincing. Without any emotional triggers or issues with other people we can make great progress and have a powerful influence within our work.

Since we can access our deepest core of self to assimilate new information we can easily see what does not fit. We are drawn to things with purpose. What falls away gets out of the way. Self-development flows naturally. We link our heart with our head. These self-integrating energies are focused not only on the transmission of creative ideas but also on their actualisation. We are put off by disapproval, offensive behaviour or negative expectation. Father issues are worked on or even let go to strengthen ourselves. We will not adjust if we do not fit. All the aspects of self are important and need to find a place or we need to move on to a place where they can. Other people must not be allowed to use us like a pawn in a chess game.

Mercury joins the Sun in Aries. It is a busy sign at present. Fleet footed Mercury will trigger each occupant in turn along with the many planets in the opposite sign Libra. We get buzzed by Mercury. There is quickness and spontaneity, a single-minded way and the necessity to speak up. As it tweaks our mechanisms we will come to speak out and stand up for something. Easily provoked by an unintentional suggestion there will be bursts and surges in our interactions. Be careful when driving, people will jackrabbit and otherwise make bold unexpected moves. Thoughts can go all over the place as concentration is easily beckoned. Write things down and get back to them when able. Attentive action will accomplish lots. We can initiate and set new goals. We can boldly push forward.

Competitiveness is an intense and dominant passion that asserts itself onto a situation and makes up feel ineffective. Some of us may find that we have to protect and defend ourselves from our partner or another person. Insensitive egocentric and perhaps masculine energy wilfully asserts itself with no value for another person. This self-centredness can be violently abusive and defiant. Those who have no care or concern for others are very self-serving. There is no equality, no cooperation, no union and no harmony where this type of person is present. The sublimated person in this partnership has to give up too much of their self. It is frustrating, full of doubt and we feel like a failure. If we are in this situation for some reason we feel we cannot get away or overcome. There is a lot of pressure and resistance so there will be conflict and power struggles. This is a mean streak of energy that has no humanity. There is also some self-destruct and self-loathing.

8^TH Pallas Athena stations, you remember from last month, this planet is standing still, staying on one spot getting ready to turn around and move in direct motion. The station is the intensity of the turn and once moving direct we start to gather strength and inner direction. We are fortified by the perceptional guidance we have obtained. A greater sense of self-validation and self-authority does wonders for our self-esteem and self-image. We have been investigating our patterns, either coming face to face with them in ourselves or through events. Now we understand them better and can make shifts and adjustments to better ourselves. The stronger we get the more we can recognise where we do not fit. We have the inner wisdom to choose our battles. We are ready to take up new studies, new technology and new challenges. Our self-approval and sense of self is much more important than the approval others. The approval of others that matters comes with the growth of self-love actualization.

  10^TH Out of kilter, unsynchronised and fumbling we can experience a string of minor occurrences that could be funny if it did not steal our confidence. Peculiar ideas take shape within our mind and we attempt to act on them but they do not work out. There is some stress in faltering. It makes handling details fraught with omission. We question ourselves and our plan.

11^TH The Gibbous Moon is fully functional this lunar month. We are gelling. Things can be absorbed because we are more permeable. Even our brains are made more receptive as long as we keep our agenda out of the way otherwise it crowds out all other possibilities. Also competitiveness will take over and disrupt the potential for this rhythm. It is a good time to listen more than speak. To gather all there is to be obtained about any subject and come to terms with the core essence of its intent. Our purpose and objective can be enhanced if we research and develop rather than command and control. First impressions are not to be used as a basis for assumption.

Blind to our own faults and convinced of our own opinion we can facilitate unrealistic expectations and form inappropriate conclusions. The ideal is fixed firmly in our mind and imagination so we cannot see that it is a square peg we are trying to fit into a round hole. We feel disappointed, deceived and disillusioned unaware of multiple choice reality. Internal blockages, resistances and dilemmas create our crisis. We make inappropriate sacrifices if left to our own devices. If we involve the opinions of others and share of information, solutions are easier to reach.

12^TH Stretching and growing is the theme. We are being stretched by circumstances beyond our control. But we feel stuck; unable to make the choice to grow into things we are frustrated about. Repetitive efforts are unsatisfactory and tiring. It is time to learn from our mistakes, develop better methods and get to the core of the matter. Stress with people in authority increase the tension. We are vulnerable to those who physically or psychologically support us. Others may actively be trying to invalidate our existence. We observe this through their refusal to honour our being. It is what they cannot or will not do that stumps us. It is a paradox to be sure. Mutually committed relationships will clarify any issues that exist with regard to obligation and duty. Limiting belief systems, personal insecurities, or fears of commitment may be obstacles to forming meaningful relationships at this time. Feelings of oppression, frustration, and dependency would surface in individuals who may remain with a partner out of social pressure, a sense of duty, or due to the desire for material security. 

14^TH Unreservedly disposed toward our inclinations those who know us well can lead us down the garden path of their benefit. We end up furthering the interests of others that are opposite to our being. Great tension is used to create this but we are oblivious to it. Then there are the people who try to equal the score according to their expectation, to manipulate to overpower and control so we need to be very clear in creating boundaries. It is important to uphold the deepest essence of self. A lack of intimacy surrounds relations; we can be attracted to someone we work with or someone who handles the common everyday things we do. We must not sell ourselves short or expect others to do that for us. Most of all do not take things personal.

Pluto is stationing; it will be retrograde in a couple of days. This is a very dynamic but subtle force which will take us on a journey into the background of our psyche. We will ponder some questions, decisions, conflicts or deep urges very slowly. Nothing happens quickly, bringing up something we are not ready to face is not purposeful. Our consciousness is going quietly within. The pressure to face metamorphic change is easing off. This leaves us in peace to sift through subconscious information at our leisure. We are free to find our comfort zone with what needs be. As we submerge into the deep, uncharted territory of our greater subconscious there will be dreams, visions, meditations and inspirations. Magnetic attraction will link us with the path to whatever is our destined unfoldment. We are drawn to what we resonate with. Subconscious messages, the first conscious thoughts in the morning, dreams and other reliable inner dialogue are the answers we get during the retrograde that map the way. We have a psychological breather so we can make a plan of action to move forward. We have to gather the fortitude we need to make the choices we do not want to make before we are forced to do what we think we cannot.

15^TH Passover The Full Moon Lunar Eclipse is ripe with potential, ready to roll up its sleeves to get things done and instrumental in transforming our base of operations. We know who is not on our side, where we do not fit and what does not work which empowers us to develop what does and is. The past is eclipsed and we are dreaming of future developments. We liberate ourselves from our encumbrances. Leave people and groups of people behind to pursue new goals. We finish the last chapter of our book and move on. We close the door and leave what we need to behind us. This of course means we start fresh in other directions and walk through other open doors as soon as all is said and done. Changes of plan reveal the mystery of what was meant to be. We concentrate on what has meaning.

It is likely that emotional complication is put aside for the simplicity of the intellect. Ideas or goals are breaking down so we need to orient towards growth and harmony. Otherwise we need to revamp to a higher standard of quality, a new level of development. We grow through issues that we think we have with the father. They will be contained in the events of this time. In the end we claim more of our individualism. Handled well these milestones can be celebrated. With children still under guardianship there will be a new stage of growth that must be assimilated, accepted and normalised. Childhood development needs to suit the individual child. The old family structure must adapt and embrace these changes. Separation issues often accompany these stages.

16^TH We are restless and curious, seeking variety, truth and meaning. This helps us to carve new pathways. Quick minded impulsive instincts and ideals can collide. But it can be difficult to find the middle ground, a place in consistency or regularity other than our rutted patterns, aggressions, depressions, tensions and expectations. Inner rage is triggered by woundedness. The self-serving amongst us can have little or no care or concern for others. Too much pride, defiance or overt bravery gets us into trouble. We can break down our repetitive patterns by turning away from them. We can change the situation we are in by becoming more aware, by expanding our knowledge or vision or understanding. Being unable to meet another's high standards can lead to feelings of inadequacy, passive-aggressive behaviours and risk-taking drives. Forms of self-destructive behaviour can manifest. It is more likely we will restrain or suppress our energies for one reason or another. Our relationship to the requirements of others can dissolve to become more objective or personal as need be. Issues involve morals, ethics, values and beliefs when all we want to do is be our self. Information collection comes through education, travel or through examination of ideals and ethics.

17^TH High speed deconditioning means we are mutating, reassessing and adapting in fast forward. Egalitarian response patterns help us to adapt in the moment. We cannot even try to maintain compliance because we are rocked out of our habituation. We do not need what we perceive we need. This should answer frustrations and dissatisfactions with marital or parental roles. It is also a way of understanding what is happening with our children. New and different choices test our perceptions and loyalties. We are reassessing our place in the world and involvement with other people as well as things. This is meant to shake us out of our old response patterns.

18^TH Good Friday Fairness is the creative process. Our strategic and managerial inclinations will keep this in mind. We adapt to this quality and feel more harmonious because we do. Poor relations can be fostered into good ones through mutual encouragement and support. Those who have been together for a long time may decide to marry. It is a beneficial time to turn towards joint plans, or to changing our lifestyle by considering marriage. If there is any situation in which some person or persons have the upper hand over us it can interfere with resourceful accomplishment.
