Faith is the keynote this month. We are very close to our innermost self and in touch with our soul. Everything flows from that centre. We are immersed in spiritual perception that dissolves drifts and allows what will be to shape how we go forward from here.

Other than this congregation of planets in Pisces it is a quiet month on the planetary front. There is not as much inter-activity as we normally experience. With less planetary stimulus we are left to our own devices and guided by our inherent physics and chemistry. For the last two weeks we have been traversing the breeze-way of all major planets moving forward. At times it felt like sailing without a keel in shallow water. Now we are about to experience the first two retrogrades that follow; all very tame and civil. Saturn will be the first which will provide the keel by building strength. Mercury will retrograde providing us with an opportunity to do our regular maintenance in this rare atmosphere. It will reverse to direct by the end of this lunar month leaving Saturn the lone crusader.

This is the between time, the changing of the seasons. Winter finishes clearing out old vegetation and rotten trees in preparation for new growth. When the Sun enters Pisces it means winter is almost over and our daylight is increasing more rapidly. Those of us that do will set our clocks ahead one hour on March 10th. But winter light remains weak or flat, our skies remain cloudy and we normally experience changeable, unreliable and even tempestuous weather. The last of the winter winds and watery storms blow through budding trees and bushes. It will be the first delicate late-winter flowers that will delight and uplift our spirit. Know too that sight unseen the new tender saplings take root.

This is a revered passage of the Sun. We are very much in touch with spirit, faith based belief and trust which brings out the best in a compassionate human. We seek a connection with the divine.

Calendar of Days with Influences 

18TH Plans and strategies formed at this time can have an influence that spans two and a half years. We see and understand our patterns of action. Using hindsight we formulate remedial alterations to adapt future methodology. Women benefit from the enhanced male atmosphere. It stabilises feminine sensitivity with masculine assurance. Men however can be more formidable as an opponent. We manage anger better, deal with pressure, negotiate a dexterous outcome and defer to another. This is excellent energy for the martial arts, military organisation and choreography if so inspired.

Happy Birthday to all Pisceans. This is your month; one of impenetrable faith. We need it. The Sun is joining Neptune and Chiron in Pisces. The wounded healer renews their faith. In Pisces we need to let go of ego and fixed individuality to embrace further levels of spirit. This is the sign of mystical perception and poetic introspection. So let go of attachments, new and old, dissolve, drift and allow. Pisces is selfless, unlimited, intangible, irrational, empathetic, mystical, elusive, faithful, sensitive and illusionary. This is the dreaming season. In Pisces we can also fantasize or give into hopelessness. We have fewer protections, we are vulnerable and there are difficulties with personal boundaries.

We are emotional and intensely compassionate; guided by altruistic feelings. We are less active, and more motivated by our instincts. A "what will be, will be" attitude reigns, and we are guided by a universal sense. This is a good time to connect with others on an intimate level or cultivate our creative instincts. We can be tolerant, patient and more trusting. We have more empathy, selfless love and devotion available; or we are inclined to use more wisdom. Because the highest and the lowest exist together in our world the lowest expression can be the scam. Others take advantage of sensitivity which ends up hurting feelings. Beware of the shadow side of this energy because it produces self-pity, a feeling of being victimized by life, or simply passivity and elusiveness.

After our progressive two week period of all major planets direct Saturn will be the first to turn retrograde. It is appropriate as this planet deals with letting go of attachments. It builds strength and structure. The shock of our economic crisis is well taken in by this time and the reversal of Saturn helps us to deal with what we must internally or within our personal sphere. In these early stages of the retrograde we learn humility and as it progresses we go about redefining or restructuring ourselves. We turn things inside out to get to the core of the issue. We develop better methods, strategies, rules, regulations and control mechanisms. We work on our sense of authority; redefine our sense of responsibility and reconfigure our limitations and commitments. We also decide to leave situations, improve organisation, renegotiate frustration, review investments, reformulate judgements and learn from our mistakes. In this retrograde state we review the physical and psychological supports, structures and armatures of our life. It lasts until July 7th.

21ST The Gibbous Moon phase is the first of this lunar month. We are taking things in, absorbing, assimilating and increasing our senses. It is appropriate to listen to the intuition, allow the imagination and let visions form. We are of a mind to fix things. We know they are broken and we do not want to give into despair. Rebirth, recreation, renewal or revival is what is meant to be. We must get our foundations stable and strong. Look for the weakest links in reality and set about formulating a plan of action that will sort it all out. We are at a very dark hour but we must look for inspiration and never, never give up. Remember; do not feel sorry for others, it is a judgement. It indicates that it is not believed they can set things right. No matter what the facts of reality are there are miracle workers who do not take no for an answer.

23RD The next planet to turnaround is Mercury.Mercury retrograde periods are extremely important for getting signals that can lead us to our soul. Take an unusual view, look back with a new perspective, see the patterns, both productive and destructive, and then when it goes direct, we can implement our new insights and perspectives into new ways of seeing, communicating, and envisioning. Mercury retrograde reminds us that efficiency is built upon stability, so think of it as a maintenance period, ideal for revisiting old problems that call for action but lay ignored.

If communication problems exist, Mercury retrograde will bring them to attention. By taking time out to resolve them now we will be better equipped to make smooth progress in the future. Mercury retrograde is not a bad thing. Far from it, it is actually an ideal time to do things, like: research a new project thoroughly, catch up on paperwork, do follow-ups on a project already started, hold an information-sharing meeting, and enjoy a wacky sense of humour.It is a good time to re-do anything that was not done right in the first place, or to do something again because we want to.

Mercury retrograding in a water sign is an especially good time to rethink old habits and patterns. The desire to retreat is strong. Dream analysis and journal writing reap the full benefits of the cycle. Our emotional and spiritual needs go through a re-vamp. Contemplation adds to our dimensional understandings and perceptions. Without conscious effort we rewire old habits and patterns. A more deeply felt truth will liberate and energise. Dreams are active and meditation is beneficial.

With increased sensitivity we cannot help but notice where we are entangled in some form of appeasement. Whatever is relevant. Parental or partnership expectations are normally the primary sources but work or any involvement with authority is likely too. Lack of individuation from parents can be the source of relationship strife. It is conflictive to bring family hierarchy into a marital situation or to allow too much parental/family influence to be involved in relationship choices. Wherever whatever we need to get unstuck from the urge to please. That is what takes us down these catacombs. Events are designed to clarify these issues so that we can empower a separation from the unhealthy or unconscious puppet strings of autopilot. Liberated we are freely able to emulate our parents or anyone else of our choice.

25TH The Full Moon is highly sensitive. We can justify and rationalise just about anything we want to piece together with our highly imaginative minds. It is also possible to see behind the scenes, to tangibly sense the sight unseen and unknown. We have to be balanced to know which is which. At the same time as this sensory wobble, the scab on our deepest most depressing wounds can be ripped off. To make the highest and best of this full moon energy stay in the centre of being. These are highly creative and regenerative influences or self-defeating and degenerative depending on how we use them. Other people are influential, powerful and commanding which puts us in their spell.

For the next 24 days or so Venus will transit through the sign Pisces. The love vibration is exalted to the highest evolutionary level. This makes life seem a little more beautiful, harmonious and aesthetic. We experience deeper compassion, empathy, unity and spiritual understanding. Pisces is the most ethereal sign, we are closer to spirit and eternity when enjoying planetary occupations of this sign. Living through the heart is the Piscean way. We uplift with praise or appreciation and avoid criticism or judgment to keep our hearts open. Unconditional love is developed by learning to accept what we normally find difficult to accept. We discover true value rather than immerse ourselves in materialism.

March 1st The Disseminating Moon is in charge. There will be increased communication and a busier daily routine. It is likely we will learn things we do not want to know. Many are seeking healing, answers to age's old questions, resolution to the pain of woundedness and sharing experiences that release repressed anger. Expectations are at the bottom of disappointment. We see the highest good in others and miss their realistic character. Putting people on a pedestal will end in disillusionment. Some of what happens now continues to be crazy-making. Ultimately it leads to order, a re-ordering that releases us from limitation. Karma is afoot, life circles dance in front of our eyes, and milestones in life experience are celebrated in a current event. We want to nurture our inner child and the inner child of others.

When old anger surfaces; adaptation is required. We are releasing, clearing and nurturing ourselves. Patterns formed in childhood are readdressed. It is important to acknowledge changing needs. In some cases it is time to just say no. Work to transform the subconscious self-images that create these states. Replace fear and inadequacy with confidence, courage and self-reliance. Let things breakdown if necessary. Then we know what is realistic to re-build. Inner conflict divides us between asserting personal will power or pursuing creative goals and best interests. The patriarchy continues to devolve. We are scrutinizing where our independence and autonomy are overruled and dominated by something else. Increased stomach acidity or the sinuses can be problematic. Some are inspired to take classes in Tai Chi Chuan, Kung Fu, Judo or Qigong etc.

3RD We receive psychic or spiritual perceptions and have experiences that are not readily deemed valid by our intellect but are undeniably relevant. We are torn between what we sense and what is tangible in social involvement. A little intuition can be a dangerous thing. More mundanely we experience the tension of confusion when making decisions. The mind can be befuddled.

4TH The Last Quarter Square of the Sun-Moon phase is creatively destructive. If something falls apart, it is simply time for it to do so. There are many more opportunities being developed than we are presently aware. Think of it as something getting out of your way. This is the mid-point of the Mercury Retrograde, a very strategically important juncture. Self-loathing and self-criticism will work against positive developments. Free up the mind and attitudes to anticipate manifestation of your vision quest. Set up a vision quest board. The mind remains somewhat scattered and we are skitterish. Try not to self-destruct.

6TH We will synchronistically and serendipitously enjoy the soul-full relations that come through our life patterns. The people we meet will remind us of another, or an event will bring a message. Like a gift of an orchid can be a reminder of a relationship in the past and a message of healing. These circles of people, experiences and major epochs of life will cross and intersect like a Piers Anthony novel {Incarnations of Immortality}. If need be we can revisit old problems and put them right. We can catch up with people we have not been able to see or communicate with. Most are in good humour. Dreams are vivid, our patterns are 3-D and we passively get rid of old habits. The rewiring of our thought processes that we do now is painless.

7TH Of special importance are the old issues that are forced to the surface. These can be blocks, limitations, habits, routines, structures, consequences of past actions, pent-up energy, repressed anger and inner frustration. The things that keep us stuck. So even an offhand comment could unintentially provoke someone else. If we are operating on the unconscious or robotic level; these energies can leak out causing the potential for accident or breakdown. Be careful with sharp or metal objects and when operating machinery. Directing energy toward physical discipline, exercise, hard work or concentrated activity is productive and will cleanse your energy field.

We are working on inward shifts that will allow us to flow with the global tides and forming a picture of what kind of responsibility we must develop to navigate the great transition in society. Letting go, learning humility, redefining and restructuring are involved. To go deep into the psyche we turn things inside out to understand core motivations or subversive elements, what drives our actions and compulsions. We will reconfigure our judgements, relationship to authority and get in touch with our authentic self. The old paradigms are crumbling, let them, and learn from them. We need to do the inner work that will help us to reconnect with our support system. Other people can help. We break down to rebuild. It is a good time for a vision quest or to contemplate a change in life direction.

This Balsamic Moon is rich with soul direction. We are inclined toward what we need. We find it on the book shelf, or hear it on the radio and it crosses our path in some obvious way. We get connected with others who are on the same soul path as us; people who are interested in the same things. The people around us are mirror reflections of who we were. Family is also a reflection of how we have become who we are. But the evolutionary energy is in who we want to become. There is great stimulation for anyone seeking to discover their next step, their true worth and those who are in league with them. Letting go of relationships that are no longer links in the chain of the future is natural. Others may set us free to fly to our next destination unbridled.

10th Comet Pan-STARRS passes closest to the Sun, harder to see, look during sunset. Spring ahead...Daylight Savings time begins...set clocks ahead one hour. Now Saskatchewan is two hours ahead while Alberta remains just one hour ahead of British Columbia. Of special importance for those booking sessions.

11TH We can act on our convictions, work cooperatively in relationship and make progress because we are committed. We are able to let go of unhealthy competitiveness, scorekeeping and getting even or fears of abandonment and infidelity. It is easier to give other people space to be. We are activated by other people, our memberships, relationships and partnerships. This is dynamic energy; active, assertive, aggressive. Intense passion and desires are directed toward protecting and defending. The costs of labour are bound to rise although the labourers themselves are likely to make less money. It is not that things are unfair; it is just what the market will bear all things considered.

The New Moon is constructive. There will be demands placed upon us that we have no other choice but to meet. We are uncertain about journeys into unknown territory. It is necessary to pull on our core resources, our inner strength and fortitude. Be in control of what is created; keep the vision of your quest uppermost in the eye of the mind. Grow beyond the limitations of what was believed or peer group pressure. Be excited about what is building. Some of us take the first serious steps toward new endeavour.

Yeah! Mars crosses the zero point of Aries, the point of spring that is to come; we are catapulted into a growth spurt. The first sign of the zodiac is about making a new start and since Mars is physical energy we will assert ourselves in new ways. There are other occupants of Aries this year, the life-changing chaotic high energy Uranus and the higher brain and strategical warrior Pallas. So we need to make a new start by learning how to be calm and deliberate under pressure. Many are reconfiguring their place and purpose for life. It is definitely not the time to weep and wail and mourn our lot in life, we have to get on with it. This is a signal that we must deal with forward change. An abundance of independent self-assertive energy can be intemperate at times, restless and fidgety at others and these conditions can cause accident or confrontation. We can start making the changes we want to have happen. The power of our will is directed toward affirmative action. Create life, deepen commitment and get on with it.

13TH Please yourself and make yourself pleasing to others. Juno has just entered Aquarius giving us the spark to be our individual self and allow ourselves independence apart from our relationships. The authenticity we have been generating becomes the appropriate alterations we make to the typical. We attract new and different people into our life to reflect the new facets of self being developed. Quickly we identify with what is synchronistic. Those who are still claiming their boundaries of self can become fanatical about having enough space, or may feel their freedom is denied and may also become non-committal, unreliable or erratic. Give them what they do not know they need. Long distance relationships can form between highly individualistic people.

15TH The Ides of March. The Crescent Moon is a beautiful sight in the night sky. It is calling us to wake up to our subconscious weaknesses. We need to realise a healthy state requires a healthy consciousness. There are too many demands. We give into our pathways of least resistance. Dreams will be vivid, intuition is strong and we receive psychic messages as if wired direct to the source. Resurrection is a good keyword for this phase. We need to check for imperfections, flaws, corruption and mistake before we restore anything. A little scattered, possibly clarity is clouded or misguided by emotion we need to evaluate each consideration more carefully.

16TH Energy is etheric, the same as that which is called chi, qi, vital force or prana. We feel more soul than body. It is important to move our energy down the body from the head to the feet by the use of will. Meditation will be very effective. Make sure to know exactly what is transpiring before acting as misunderstandings abound. Strange moods and unusual feelings cause all manner of states to arise. The ego is easily discouraged. This makes us irritable, discouraged, inferior, itchy, weak, incapable, in denial, deluded or in a state of misunderstanding. We need to beware of the confidence men and steer clear of whatever appeals to the ideal. It is not unusual to be vulnerable by way of our favourite cause.

17TH Happy Saint Patrick's Day It is a good day for green ale {eco friendly rather than dye that is}! Mercury is in a weak and passive state as it turns direct leaving Saturn as the solitary soldier of self-development. We can easily be confused or feel impaired in our ability to think for ourselves. We are still seeking but looking outward to others and the world instead of inward to the self. Continue to mull over the changes in plan, the alternate contingencies and scout the network of information available. We are prepared to listen to another view and are open to comprehending another way. No longer secluded we are weaving our befuddlement into higher understanding because we can once again be more objective. By April 5th we will be clear of old issues.

18TH We are all witness to the fact that the old order with its traditions and cultural differences are in the melting pot of prudence. This makes choices, especially with regard to the environment or family, more difficult and complex. What to do? Many a dilemma is formed by this tidal clash of status quo versus reality. But we are earnestly seeking resolution and hopefully it lies as these energies suggest in the direction of a mutually-agreeable moral and philosophical code that restores balance and equity. Because nothing is black or white and everything is blending into shades of grey we must be vigilant and notice those who would take advantage of our cumbersome between states. I am talking about the opportunists trolling for advantages, bargains and freebies. There will be people who are trying to please and appease to gain approval and wiggle their way into situations. Then there are those who use humour and helpfulness tactically to get on the good side of others to get into the inner circle. Also there are some who gain confidence simply by being good natured and folksy. We are experiencing drastic times when people will try anything to gain an advantage. Not knowing the personal details they perceive others as having more than them and they want some.

19TH The First Quarter Moon is usually a critical point in the lunar month but this phase is even more so. What crisis of becoming needs innovative compromise? Our minds are emotionally engaged and swirling with thoughts. We need to nurture our thoughts. Getting focused will be difficult as the psyche is flooded with information but it is possible. Try not to do anything in desperation, irrationally or suddenly and unexpectedly without warning as these energies might try to induce. Not everything is a crisis, be still so that when the real one hits you are ready. We are confused, overwhelmed, fearful, depressed and in pain. It is hard to see the next step let alone the pathway ahead. This is a time when we have to take it easy on ourselves.

Getting past all the aforementioned warnings this is excellent for the spirit journey, for innovation, evolution and philosophical growth. The old structure is dissolving allowing for advancement. Destruction allows for regeneration. We gain insights, inspirations and intuitions if we can remain still and quiet. Things will change, we do not have all the answers and the way it was is not what is best for what will be. Trust and be guided. We are sorting souls.
