2012 LDWF Derelict Crab Trap Cleanup

Join the BTNEP Volunteer Team on March 17, 2012, in Cocodrie, Louisiana for the annual LDWF crab trap cleanup. Since 2004, the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries, together with individual volunteers and organizations, has successfully removed and disposed of nearly 20,000 abandoned and derelict crabs. The removal of these crab traps is especially important to boating safety and crab harvesting efforts.

BTNEP is still in need of boats and boat captains as well as volunteers for loading, unloading and trap disposal.

If you would like to volunteer for this event or have any questions please contact:

Joseph Dantin, BTNEP Public Involvement Coordinator

(985) 228-0358 (Cell) Primary

(985) 447-0868 (Office)

Thank you for your continuous support for our organization!

Sincerely,

Simone Maloz
