Senate HELP Committee Makes History with ENDA Approval Today members of the Senate Health, Education, Labor & Pensions (HELP) Committee reported out the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA), a bill that would provide basic protections against workplace discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation or gender identity. The bill was approved 15-7, with all Democratic Senators plus three Republicans - Hatch, Kirk and Murkowski - voting in favor.

UCLA School of Law has received a $5.5 million gift from philanthropist Charles R. "Chuck" Williams to support the leadership of the Williams Institute - the first and only law school initiative dedicated to the study of sexual orientation and gender identity law and public policy - and to foster the institute's growth in the next decade.
