LGBT Workers Arrested at Speaker John Boehner`s Office

LGBT workers from states without employment protections based on sexual orientation and/or gender identity were arrested earlier today outside Speaker of the House John Boehner's Congressional office.  The LGBT workers were calling on Speaker Boehner to immediately support and move forward the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA) for a vote after the legislation has languished in Congress for nearly 40 years.

Freedom from Discrimination in Credit Act Could Help LGBT Americans Realize American Dream

With no federal law protecting lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people from discrimination in securing credit, thousands of Americans face unfair challenges in buying a home, going to college, or starting a small business.  To ensure all qualified people have access to the financial credit necessary to build a productive life, Sen. Patty Murray (D-WA) today introduced the Freedom from Discrimination in Credit Act (FDCA) in the U.S. Senate and Rep. Steve Israel (D-NY) introduced the bill in the House of Representatives.  FDCA would amend the Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA) to prohibit discrimination in the provision of credit based on sexual orientation or gender identity.

 Start A V`s Barbershop Franchise

Remember the old-time barbershop that Dad took you to when you were a kid for a hair cut?

By now, most of them have vanished...

In November 1999, V's Barbershop & Shoeshine opened in Phoenix and the great old-time barbershop was reborn. From the real barber chairs, to the old fashioned hot lather and straight razor shave, to the head and neck massage, V's Barbershop sets a new standard.

Our barbers provide traditional and short hair cuts, as well as contemporary men's haircut styles. At V's, we bring you the nostalgia of yesteryear with a modern twist.
