24th Annual GLAAD Media Awards GLAAD, the nation's lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) media advocacy organization, today announced that Madonna will present journalist, author and talk show host Anderson Cooper with the Vito Russo Award at the 24th Annual GLAAD Media Awards at the New York ceremony on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at the New York Marriot Marquis, presented locally by Delta Air Lines. The GLAAD Media Awards are presented nationally by Ketel One and Wells Fargo.

UNION BANK, KCETLINK SEEK NOMINATIONS FOR LGBT LOCAL HEROES
As part of its ongoing commitment to responsible banking and cultural diversity and in celebration of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender (LGBT) Pride Month, Union Bank has partnered with KCETLink and is seeking nominations for outstanding men and women of the LGBT community for the Local Heroes Awards. Of the nominated local heroes who are providing great leadership and making significant contributions to improve and enrich the lives of others, two will be chosen and honored with video profiles on KCET during LGBT Pride Month in June and as part of a celebratory event in October.

New Analysis Shows Majority of Young Republicans Support the Freedom to Marry
Fifty-one percent of Republicans under age 30 support the freedom to marry, according to a meta-analysis of national polling data and trends on the freedom to marry by Dr. Jan van Lohuizen, George W. Bush's 2004 lead pollster, and Joel Benenson, President Barack Obama's lead pollster in 2008 and 2012. The report, commissioned by Freedom to Marry, analyzes recent polling and exit polls from the 2012 election and shows that the well-documented majority support for the freedom to marry is broadening and diversifying while opposition continues to diminish and is isolated to a few narrow demographic groups.
