DisciplesNet service features Administrative Secretary of National Convocation

The African American Episcopal Church invited Christians across the U.S. to join in an "
End Racism Sunday" on Sunday, Sept. 6. It was an ecumenical effort in response to the nine people murdered at Mother Emanuel church in Charleston, SC in June.
DisciplesNet, an online Disciple congregation, invited the Rev. Dr. Timothy James, associate general minister and administrative secretary of the National Convocation, to preach for the church's service this past Sunday.

The service is archived on the DisciplesNet website (#266). You will find an order of worship and other information for the service which includes music and communion.

Join in prayers for peace in the Middle East
Global Ministries is emphasizing the work of our partners in the Middle East over the next two years. The focus began at the 2015 General Assembly with the sermon from Bishop Munib Younan of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Jordan and the Holy Land at the Global Ministries/Council on Christian Unity dinner.

Starting in December 2012, a number of religious organizations in the Holy Land decided to hold a prayer vigil on the 24th of every month for Palestinians and Israelis until violence ended and a just peace was announced to end the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.

After another summer of violence, Bishop Younan's church wants to ask our brothers and sisters around the globe to pray with us for a resolution to this conflict that will see a just peace with an end to violence. They are asking for you to sign up to a Thunderclap campaign to pray for peace in the Holy Land.
The Reconciliation offering will be received in most congregations Sept. 27 and Oct. 4. Find out more at www.reconciliationministry.org
