Pentecost Offering celebrated May 17 & 24
by Hope Partnership staff
Despite expert opinion, Hope Partnership for Missional Transformation declares that the Church is not dying, but is alive amid a thriving Pentecost movement. Hope Partnership invites everyone to join this movement as the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) celebrates the 2015 Pentecost Offering on Sundays, May 17 and May 24.
This year's promotional materials include a Pentecost video that takes a unique approach to conveying the message that the Church is not dead, but rather that we are spreading the truth and light during challenging times was created and produced by Rev. Elizabeth Myer Boulton, founder and creative director of the SALT Project.
To learn more about the Pentecost Offering and to view the two-minute video, visit www.hopepmt.org.

| How does God CHALLENGE you? |
This week's question centers around "challenge." How are we challenged by God? How does God give you the strength to face challenges in life? Record your video response and post it with the hashtag #DisciplesSoar and you could be featured in General Assembly worship!

Every day the average person receives as many as 5,000 marketing messages, many of which seek to have us measure our worth, success, and meaning by what we have acquired. Using the Revised Common Lectionary for Year B, the new Measuring What Matters: Stewardship as Discipleship program invites the congregation to explore up to six texts tied to this theme. Each individual church may decide if they want to follow the traditional model of a compressed campaign, or use a new suggested design, that extends the conversation over as many as seven months. Find out more from the Center for Faith and Giving.
