Design Trends for 2015:

 Clean, Cozy & Colorfully Calm

The New Year is here and with it comes new trends in interior design. Whether you decide to follow the trends is up to you.  Shea Interiors encourages you to follow your heart and decorate with what you love.  Here are three of our favorite 2015 design trends:

  1. Clean-lined Design:

Modern, clean-lined designs take center stage in interiors in the new year. Whether the component is furniture, lighting, countertops or accessories, simplicity of style and overall minimalism of composition in the space is the key to successfully creating a contemporary environment.

     2.  Cozy up to Organics:

Cozy up to earthy elements such as real wood, natural stone, brick, sisal rugs and wicker baskets. The options for bringing the outdoors into your home or office with natural and organic-based materials are practically endless.

     3.  Low-key Colors that Inspire:

Serene shades set the scene this year, with tones of gray (any shade) and blue (especially indigo and navy), providing the perfect backdrop for most any room. Pantone's 2015 color of the year, Marsala, promises to blend nicely with these, offering a pop of muted red-brown to add contrast while maintaining a sense of calm within the space.
