Solicitations & Fundraising
at the Fellowship
|
At the November 2014 Board Meeting, a policy was enacted prohibiting the sale of items for fundraising purposes at the Fellowship.
The intent of this policy was two-fold. First, to be consistent with a previously-enacted general policy prohibiting fundraising activity or pleas for money not directed toward the Fellowship or programs or organizations officially supported by the Fellowship.
Secondly, to ensure when members and guests attend worship, they not be in the position of being solicited at church.
This policy applies to any fundraising effort a member may represent benefitting a school or extracurricular or service group.
This policy, while known to the Board, was not adequately communicated at the time to the larger membership, unfortunately. With this notice, it is hoped AUUF members will understand and abide by this policy.
Any questions may be directed to Keralee Clay, President.

Our 11:00 service is usually packed - and what a wonderful problem for us to have. However, churches stop growing when 80% of the seats are filled - as ours usually are at the later service.
You can be part of the solution as we work to grow our congregation and faith community, extending the warmth of our Beloved Community to more Amarillo and area residents.
Will you help by attending the 9:30 service at least once a month? We look forward to seeing you there!

Unitarian Universalism The Flaming Chalice
A flame within a chalice (a cup with a stem and foot) is a primary symbol of the Unitarian Universalist faith tradition. Unitarian Universalists today have many interpretations of the flaming chalice, including
the light of reason,
the warmth of community, and
the flame of hope.
