From Children's Moment - July 27, 2014
In response to requests, here is the story read by Vicki Schoen last Sunday: An emperor in the Far East was growing old and knew it was time to choose his successor. Instead of choosing one of his assistants or his children, he decided something different. He called young people in the kingdom together one day. He said, "It is time for me to step down and choose the next emperor. I have decided to choose one of you." Read how the emperor made his selection.

Farewell and Thanks, Cathy!
|
 From David Green:
Cathy Proctor has served the Fellowship in dual roles as our part-time Office Administrator and part-time Custodian since 2011.
She is now leaving us to follow other pursuits; her last workday is Friday, Aug. 8. Our leadership team is working toward filling both positions. Cathy provided our members and guests with a consistently positive, gracious, and professional presence, and juggled her many responsibilities with aplomb and a dedication to our principles and mission. She will be missed.
Please join me in thanking Cathy for her service and in offering our best wishes for her future! She can be reached during her office hours, at 355-9351, or office@uuamarillo.org
