A big thank you to all those who participated in the "Stuff the Turkey: Thanksgiving Food Drive" for Christ House in Alexandria. We exceeded our 300 pond goal by collecting 480.20 pounds of food. What a wonderful example of mercy you all have shown! Way to go! Christ House was extremely grateful for your offering to them. Stay tuned for our next community service event!

Catholic Schools Care About Catholic Charities Week
|
We Care Week is a great opportunity for your schools to help the poor. Catholic Charities We Care Week is where schools collect money that goes directly to the poor in our Diocese. Last year our diocesan schools collected over $28,000! What a difference that makes and how great it is for the students to start impacting those who are less advantaged at such a young age. This week students have been asked to make a small donation to be sent to Catholic Charities to help support the good work that they do. An Out of Uniform day will be granted on Friday, December 11 to any student making a donation. Donations should be given to the homeroom teachers.

Uniform Reminders
|
There seems to be some confusion regarding the PE uniform and we would like to clarify this for everyone. The PE uniform consists of the navy blue PE shorts and light blue t-shirt and the navy blue crew neck sweatshirt and sweatpants. All of these items must have the Saint Ann Catholic School logo on them. The gray hooded sweatshirt is not to be worn as part of the PE uniform. As of October 12, students should be wearing the navy blue sweats to school. Students may wear their shorts underneath. If it is unseasonably warm, Mr. Zygmunt may allow the students to remove the sweatpants and/or sweatshirt during PE class. The fluctuation in temperature is wide-ranging at this time of year. We have seen students arrive in PE shorts in the morning and the temperature can drop significantly during the course of the morning. This makes for a very uncomfortable recess for some kiddos.
