Love Your Pet: Spay and Neuter
Keep Your Pets Happy, Healthy and Safe
Foothills Animal Shelter provides affordable spay and neuter procedures for pets in an effort to reduce pet overpopulation. Spaying and neutering can also help prevent behavior problems and prolong your pet's life. Spaying and neutering could be the best decision you make for your home and community!

In honor of the widely recognized World Spay Day (February 23, 2016), Foothills Animal Shelter is offering an extra special discount on cat spays/neuters, for a limited time: all cat spays or neuters will be only $20 during the entire month of February.

A Note from the Executive Director
Dear Friends, Adopters, Volunteers, Supporters & Fellow Animal Lovers,

Happy belated New Year! Looking back, 2015 was another busy year at Foothills Animal Shelter. Our team has now been able to finalize some pretty amazing numbers from last year and we thought you'd be interested in hearing some of the highlights:
  • 6,335 adoptions
  • 1,608 lost animals were reunited with their families
  • 904 medically-fragile and/or very young animals were cared for through our foster care program
  • 112 affordable vaccine, microchip & license clinics were provided to the public
  • 45,342 pet licenses were issued
  • 33,448 volunteer hours were given by an amazing volunteer team of 485
Just know we truly appreciate each and every one of you. Whether you've adopted, donated, brought us wish list items, liked our Facebook page, volunteered or just think we are a cool organization (and we are), THANK YOU! Our community has stood by our side over the years and recognized and valued our important mission. We know we couldn't do what we do without you.

That being said, we also want to hear how we're doing. Have a suggestion? Want to share a great experience? Is your adopted pet doing awesome and you have some silly, fun photos you'd like to share? Please feel free to email us at

In the meantime, keep taking the time to suggest to your friends, family and neighbors to check out our website, like our Facebook page or to simply drop by our beautiful facility to see what we're all about. Thanks so much!
