Boozer the Boxer Goes Back Home
Dog Reunited with Original Family After Nine Years
When Boozer, a 10-year-old Boxer, came to the Shelter in early August, he was scanned for a microchip, standard protocol when animals come here. The microchip traced to a man from Tennessee named Lloyd. After digging through outdated contact information, Lloyd's current email address was found. That's when something remarkable happened.

It turns out that Lloyd had adopted Boozer when he was just a puppy, but sadly, the dog escaped when he was around 1-year-old. Lloyd and his family were devastated. They eventually accepted that they weren't going to find their lost dog, but Lloyd said, "Boozer ... always remained in our hearts."
