Kitten Born at the Shelter Finds His Place
Back in November, a cat came into the Shelter as a stray who appeared to be pregnant. We named her Lacey and less than a week later, she gave birth to five kittens. Lacey and her babies needed some extra TLC, so they went into foster homes with Geri and then Susan, two of our wonderful volunteers. For the next 8 weeks, Lacey, Geri and Susan cared for the kittens, teaching them to eat on their own and keeping them healthy. Once the kittens were weaned and were big enough, all five of the kittens were adopted, including Diesel. Diesel was adopted by Andrew, a student at the Colorado School of Mines. Diesel is currently living with Andrew's mother, Jennifer, until he graduates in the spring. Andrew frequently comes home on the weekends to visit with Diesel, who is loving his time in his new home.
