Monthly Practice  - The Power of Breath
With the end of summer approaching and kids going back to school, our days are shorter and time seems to run together. In our busier moments we often forget the simple things we can do to lower our stress and feel better.

Each day take a moment - Any moment - While you're waiting in line or in the shower when you're getting ready for your day. Take an opportunity and breathe. 7 focused breaths - Slowly inhale through your nose to the count of 5 and then slowly exhale through your mouth, also to the count of 5. Repeat 6 more times.

Happy Breathing!

Memorial Tree Planting & Tribute
to Marge Michel
Join OM Sanctuary as we celebrate the life of Richmond Hill Inn's former owner, Marge Michel.

Marge and Jake Michel, the co-founders and previous owners of the former Richmond Hill Inn put love and care into the property we now call OM Sanctuary.  "Marge had a magical touch when it came to her gardening." shares Shelli Stanback, Founder and Visionary of OM Sanctuary.  We are grateful to the vision, dedication and legacy they have left behind.  Join a tribute and memorial planting in honor of Marge Michel on September 8.

Basil is an amazing herb. It is an annual herb belonging to the mint family, Lamiaceae (Labiatae). There are over 40 known varieties of basil of which Ocimum basilicum or Sweet Basil is the most commonly known and grown. Ocimum is from a Greek verb that means "to be fragrant."
