Night of a Thousand Conversations Tomorrow 
Nov. 21, 6:00 - 8:30 PM
Come join the national Night of a Thousand Conversations in a circle held in Fellowship Hall tomorrow, sponsored by our new racial justice task force. We'll watch testimony about police violence, then use a restorative justice circle-based dialogue approach to process what was heard and begin to formulate a plan of action together. More info here.
IU Men's Soccer Game 11/22
The IU Men's excellent Soccer Team will play on Sunday 11/22 at 12 noon. Please be aware that before our second service, traffic patterns near the church and parking on Jordan may be affected by this sporting event.

          This worship service will provide some evolutionary reflections regarding our ancestors.  How does knowledge of our ancient ancestors bring meaning to our lives today? 
Giving Tree Gift Tags Available Through December 6
Our Giving Tree in Fellowship Hall contains gift tags you can use to purchase gifts for people in need in our community. You have the opportunity to make someone's holiday a little brighter from through Dec. 6. Please bring these gifts to the either service on December 13.
Connections Booth:  Food Pantry Volunteer Shifts
Interested in one-time volunteer opportunities to make a difference? This Sunday look for Mary Blizzard of our Help Feed Our Hungry Neighbors Task Force at the Connections booth between services. She'll be ready to sign you up for a shift at the Walnut Grove Food Pantry in upcoming months. Bring your calendar and stop in to say hello!
Thanksgiving Pitch-in Dinner November 26
Everyone is invited to Thanksgiving pitch-in dinner here in Fellowship Hall at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 26. Please bring food to share that serves 8 people. Turkey will be provided. Info, please contact Amy Crozier at 
The Homelessness Taskforce Welcome Baskets
The Homelessness Taskforce and one of our Chalice Circlesare working with Shalom Community Center, providing short-term assistance to people who are moving from homelessness  to permanent housing. Items needed are toiletries, cleaning supplies, dishes, sheets, blankets, shower curtain, etc. Place in the macaroni collection basket in the Commons at church.
Grocery Cards: IT'S A NO BRAINER!
Buying your groceries with grocery cards is easy and helpful to the church! Purchase grocery cards at church, or register your Kroger card and direct 3% of your purchase to the church.  Cards are available for purchase (cash or check) every Sunday between services. During the holiday season, you can pay for Thanksgiving items with a card or give a card as a gift! It's a TWOFER-you and the church come out ahead.
