Our guest in the pulpit will be Julica Hermann de la Fuente of Meadville Lombard Theological School. Join us as we consider how to create spaces to re-form the brokenness of racism into new patterns of thought and behavior, ushering in social and spiritual healing. 
Search Committee Cottage Meeting This Sunday
The Ministerial Search Committee invites everyone to the last open cottage meeting to discuss our search for a new Associate Minister, 
this Sunday,10:30-11:15 a.m., in the church library.  
Our Folks . . .
Our sympathy and healing thoughts are with Jeanette Miller and her family upon the death on October 4 of her husband Jim Miller. A memorial service for Jim will be held here on Saturday, October 17, at 11:00 a.m.
The office will be closed Monday, October 12 for the federal holiday.
Reproductive Justice Meeting October 12
Reproductive Justice Task Force (RJTF) will host a special meeting on October 12th at 7:00 pm in Fellowship Hall. We will be writing letters to the Bloomington City Council and other local and national legislators.
Habitat for Humanity More Than Houses Breakfast
The Habitat Task Force invites any member of the congregation to join their table at the More Than Houses Breakfast on Thursday, November 12, 7:15 to 8:15 a.m. at the Bloomington Convention Center. Contact Barb Berggoetz, task force co-chair, by Oct. 19, barbberg@bluemarble.net.
Hope for Prisoners Task Force Meeting October 15
The Hope for Prisoners Task Force invites you to their meeting on Wednesday, October 15 from 12:00 noon to 1:30 in the Library.  The guest speaker will talk on alternatives to incarceration such as House Arrest with ankle bracelets.

Fall Grounds Work Day October 18
Fall Grounds Workday will be Sunday, October 18th from 12:30 to 3:30.  Tasks include deadheading, mulching and weeding, and planting bulbs. Please bring tools and gloves.
