"To Live in This World"
The Reverend Douglas Wadkins
In October, we will explore the theme of Letting Go.  It is a powerful and meaningful idea. In our lives we are called again and again to focus, and in the busyness and distractions of our daily lives to not lose sight of what really matters. It is an ever-renewed process.  It is always calling us to discern what is important to hold close, to draw strength from and sustenance; and what to release back into the world that we might travel more lightly. Come consider what we are to do in order, as Mary Oliver writes,  to live in this world.
This Sunday, October 4:
Vacation Religious Education Explores Charlotte's Web.
All ages of children will head upstairs to room 208, where Reverend Emily will share a story from Charlotte's Web and invite the children to explore its themes on their own.  We will have art choices, nature items, pin the tail on Wilbur, a big spider's web on the floor, mandala making, popsicle stick webs, and a visiting pet rat.  Don't miss it if you are in town!
We need one more helper each service--please contact Emily if you can help:

Jim Miller is now in Hospice House. Cards are welcome.
