August is a month of transition. With over 150 participants, our most ever, another successful run of Summer Workshops has ended. The staff is hard at work preparing for the fall semester. Soon our classrooms will once again be filled with budding young artists preparing for their careers in our full and part-time programs.

 

Administratively we are also in transition. Ernie Merlán has assumed the role of Executive Director and Benjamin Maixner is now the academy Principal. In our EMS studio, Susie Zwerman has been promoted to Studio Executive Producer and Jon Clark has the newly created role of Animation Studio Manager. Yudi Bennett will be taking a well deserved break to enjoy family, friends, and travel! But she isn't off the hook just yet. She will continue helping with operations and development, part-time, as well as representing us as the Exceptional Ambassador.

 

Just a few signs of the growth we are experiencing as we celebrate EM's sixth year and our 50th newsletter! Our sincere thanks for your enduring interest and support. With your help, Exceptional Minds will continue to grow and flourish.
