A Non-Profit Vocational Center & Animation Studio

Featuring Young Adults On The Autism Spectrum

 BACK TO SCHOOL EDITION
   SEPTEMBER 29, 2015 - Vol. 40

Class of 2015 - 16

We are off to an "Exceptional" fifth year! Our dynamite first-year students come from across the U.S.--as far away as North Dakota, Maryland, and Tennessee.  They are already hard at work, immersed in Photoshop and Flash animation. Our returning second-year students will be studying AfterEffects and Adobe Premiere Pro as well as learning to navigate a VFX pipeline in their Media Production class. Third years will master Maya, Nuke, and Silhouette as they prepare for graduation and employment.

The 2015-16 school year will feature more field trips, guest lectures, and diverse classes than ever before. We have launched our Bridge program to help students prepare for the full-time vocational track. We have also expanded and intensified our Work Readiness curriculum to ensure that our young adults are truly prepared for the world ahead.

We encourage all our Exceptional Parents (and other relatives & friends) to participate in our bi-monthly parent meetings. Please join us on Sunday, October 11 at 2:30 PM for a "Parent Survival Workshop" led by Benjamin Maixner, our Behavior Consultant. You won't want to miss this event!

Our thanks to all of you who have donated your time and energy as well as providing generous financial support. Exceptional Minds continues to grow thanks to your efforts!

Here's to an Exceptional year!
