with artist Gregory Maichack. $30 includes professional materials; easels provided.

founder of the Legal Center for Arab Mnority Rights in Israel, provides context for  Eyal Sivan's 2012 documentary, Common State.

Stand Our Ground Poetry Reading
with Bolade Akintolayo, Ewuare X. Osayande, Shaunda Holloway (Sekai), others.    
Saturday, June 29,
3-4 pm--Tea with Cole Porter.Vocalist Julie Harris,  guitarist Stephen Roane and David Childs on keyboard perform classic tunes from the popular American composer.
Enjoy iced tea, lemonade and cookies
with the whole family!

Saturday, June 1, 1 pm--Stage. Page. Engage. A community conversation about race and New Haven real estate, with local historians Tom Ficklin and Colin Caplan bringing it to the neighborhood.  A screening of A Raisin in the Sun (1961) on June 15 at 4 pm provides the background to Long Wharf's current production of Clybourne

Friday, June 21, 6-8:30 pm--Soup & Cinema: The Perfect Game (2009), based on a true story about a group of boys from Monterrey, Mexico, the first non-U.S. team to win the Little League World Series.

Art Exhibit of masks created by students at Davis Street School--inspired by children's books. Reception will be held on June 15 at 1 pm.

Musician Rick Goldin will lead an interactive concert for families on Monday, June 10, at 6:30 pm, followed by the release of live ladybugs into the flower garden outside the library.
