Welcome to April! What a stressful March with the stamp duty deadline! We had a fair few clients with little hair left after a rather fraught month of pushing deals through. I would imagine that most lawyers are now laid down in a dark room with a bottle of something special or in therapy following the pressure. It seems to have put a real strain on resources and banks to try to complete deals in time and it's worth saying "well done" to the lawyers for coping with the extra workload.
Heading into spring, the market is good but not it's normal self for the time of year. I don't know if it is just Sheffield, but stock levels are extraordinarily low and it's a seller's market for this reason. If you are thinking of selling, spend five minutes on Rightmove or Zoopla to see if your house has any competition locally. If the answer is no, then now might be a great time to get a fabulous result based on basic economic supply and demand.
