Welcome to February. We are seeing some increasingly exciting changes to the way that properties are marketed and promoted, and it is great to see that estate agency is finally moving with the times from a marketing and PR perspective. Do you know what you should be looking out for when choosing a sales or lettings agent?
We love that we have people talking and signing up for our online marketing services, and it is certainly challenging how people are thinking when making their choices. There is a new property portal on the block which is creating a stir, you may have seen my blog ( READ ME) about what is happening with Rightmove and Zoopla. It is important to look at the statistics. At the moment, there are around a million properties on the market for sale in the UK (170,000 in London alone). I t's said that Rightmove has 973,951 properties, including 161,043 in London. Zoopla has 674,683 properties, including 137,981 in London. The new property portal on the block has 311,721 properties, including 59,640 in London.
When making a decision on your estate agent, it is important not only to think what you would do when looking for a property, but what everyone else is doing. Where would you look first online? Some prefer Rightmove, others Zoopla, both work well for us though so we are nailing our colours to the mast currently and sticking with what works best for our clients.
